Shubman Gill has accused England of acting against the spirit of the game after delaying tactics in third test
Transcript
00:00A lot of people have been talking about it, so let me just clear the air for once and for all.
00:05The English batsmen on that day, they had seven minutes of play left.
00:09They were 90 seconds late to come to the crease.
00:11Not 10, not 20, 90 seconds late.
00:13Yes, most of the teams, they use this.
00:17Even if we were in a position, we would have also liked to play lesser overs,
00:20but there's a manner to do it.
00:22But to be able to come 90 seconds late on the crease is not something
00:25that I would think comes in the spirit of the game.
00:28I wouldn't say it was something that I'm very proud of, but there was a lead up and build up to that.
00:33It didn't just come out of nowhere and we had no intention of doing that whatsoever.
00:37You're playing a game you're playing to win and there are a lot of emotions involved
00:40and when you see there are things happening that should not happen,
00:43sometimes the emotions come out of nowhere.
