00:26I actually play Yondu's pilot in the original Guardians of the Galaxy film,
00:30so I had a little taste of Marvel World a while ago,
00:33and obviously a much bigger taste of it this time around.
00:36It seems like one of those constants in my life that's been popping up all the way through.
00:42I guess, like, I remember seeing the first Iron Man, like, in the movie theatre,
00:48and that was such a big deal, and it's such a great movie,
00:51and I just remember loving it in the sense of the supernatural elements to it.
00:57I just love that.
00:58And now you're in the same universe.
01:00I know, and now I'm, like, flying around on a surfboard. It's crazy.
01:03Yeah. It's, like, kind of wild.
01:06And now I want to ask you, because this is not the first time that we are having Galactus and Silver Surfer
01:11in the screen, so I want to ask you about the differences between your characters and the previous version.
01:16What can fans expect from your characters?
01:19Well, I think the main difference with Galactus this time around is that he has a physical, kind of,
01:27pretty much comic-accurate form.
01:30You know, they built the suits. I wore a suit for probably about two-thirds of my days on set
01:35were fully suited up in practical armour and everything,
01:38so there's a very big difference in the way my character's portrayed, definitely.
01:43Yeah, and just that this is also Shalbaal's story, so I think it's very different than the previous Silver Surfers
01:51that they've seen on screen, which was really cool just to bring that to life.
01:57So, yeah, I think that's the biggest difference.
02:00I think that's one of the, they are two of the most beloved characters in the comics, so people are really excited.
02:06I want to ask you something now, because this is not the only superhero movie that is releasing this month,
02:12so let's talk hypothetically, because we also have Superman.
02:16How amazing would it be to have a crossover between Marvel and DC?
02:20How cool would it be?
02:22I'm good friends with Nichols, who plays Lex Luthor in Superman.
02:28So, yeah, as soon as we both got cast, we swapped a few times.
02:32I'm like, yeah, come on.
02:34And I'm like, see you on set?
02:35Yeah, I was like, you know, I was testing God, mate, you have no chance in this one.
02:39I am so beating you.
02:41And a one-on-one, as it were, not film-on-film.
02:43Yeah, that's true, that's true.
02:46Now I want to ask you, Ralph, because I think I have seen more of Galactus in toy stores than in trailers of the screen yesterday.
02:54So, why do you think Marvel is hiding the look of Galactus from now on?
03:00Because I think and I hope that when you first see him and hear him, it will be a moment.
03:06Because people have been waiting a very, very long time to see a live-action Galactus.
03:13So, it would seem silly to waste that moment in a trailer before it comes out.
03:19And I'm, I'm really, yeah, I'm so grateful and touched that they have, they kept that.
03:26Because, yeah, I'm hoping it's going to be a really cool moment.
03:29Yeah, I think so.
03:30Now I want to ask you, because, okay, I want to ask you about the future, because you are not confirmed in Avengers Domsday,
03:37but still, as we were saying, Silver Silver characters are two of the most built-off villains in the comics.
03:43So, what about the future? I mean, would you like to come back?
03:47Can we be, in a way, optimistic about it, seeing them again?
03:51I would love to.
03:52Yeah, I would love to.
03:53Yeah, we would probably be some of the last people to know if that was the case.
03:57Lots of people would know that was happening before.
04:00Yeah, I, so yeah, we probably would be the last to know, but we would love to.
04:06How are you dealing with this secrecy from Marvel that you can't say anything about the future?
04:10Anything about this movie, actually, any spoilers? How are you living this moment?
04:15You want to go first?
04:17Well, it's tricky. You kind of have to, you have to pick a couple of friends or family
04:22who you really can just kind of talk to, you know, that you trust and, you know, people who have all,
04:26maybe have signed NDAs or not, but kind of, you can't just keep it all, all secret.
04:31But you just, you get used to it. That's part of our job is you're not allowed to talk about what you're doing most of the time.
04:36So this working on something like Marvel is just a much more serious version of that.
04:43You know, you don't wander around talking about the projects you're doing before they're out because that just causes problems.
04:48So you're used to being a bit secretive all the time.
04:51It's hard doing this stuff, if that makes sense. But I don't like to talk about things unless if it's real.
04:58You know, have the internet. So I guess, but yeah, but I don't know. It's strange.
