01:07It's been a reasonably even match with Ireland creating the better of the chances.
01:12Romania having quite a bit of possession and forcing the best out of this man, Pat Bonner, on at least two occasions.
01:18But I would say that if either side had deserved to win over the 90 minutes, it was certainly Ireland.

41:10long move it didn't matter cascarino hit the back of the net it is 4-4 he knows long he's annoyed with
41:18himself he knows that may have been the one i think the divot probably went in the ground back of the net
41:23firmer than the baldy but it doesn't matter it's there to be to be fair on he was moving and jumping
41:29about like uh madman on the line it must have bugged cascarino off well he's done that with a couple of
41:33them he's nearly come out to tackle the kicker 4-4
41:41this well i'm shaking the tension here goodness knows what the players must be like down there
41:45but the funny old thing is i'm looking in the center serve where all the players have to stay
41:49um certainly the romanians and one of the irishers whether it's a nervous thing are actually laughing
41:54their heads up maybe those have already taken them certainly lupu was having a good old laugh about
41:59something i've heard of condemned men laughing on the way to the gallows and it must feel like that
42:04for some of these players it must feel like you're on your way to the gallows
42:10right bonner in action again one of the romanian substitutes the second substitute in fact elected to
42:18take a penalty this time daniel timofti will take their fifth and final kick of the first five that
42:26each side must have bonner remains still unlike his opposite number one

45:39five romania four there'll be irish jigs all over the world tonight
45:46and ireland are in the quarterfinals of the world cup for the first time ever
45:51we're all going to pause for a much-needed breath
45:53a dramatic finish as the republic of ireland advanced and yes pat bonner is the hero
