In this fun and heartfelt interview, #LolaTung shares the advice she'd give to Belly, #GavinCasalegno explains why Jeremiah is the one for her, and #ChristopherBriney reveals what Conrad finally learned in Season 3.

00:30So what advice would you give Belly about the choices and decisions
00:34that she's about to make this season?
00:36Trust your gut and be honest with everybody about how you're feeling
00:42and about the decisions that you're going to make
00:45and communicate because that's a really important thing.
00:49And I think she's learned a lot over this little, you know,
00:53the past couple of years since there's a little time jump.
00:56So I think I'm like, use all the lessons you've learned.
01:00Now, yeah, communication.
01:04How did your approach to Belly's character evolve?
01:07Like, there's a lot of growth.
01:09So how did you, what's your thought process into portraying her in all those seasons?
01:15Yeah, I mean, I got to sort of grow up with her.
01:17When I started, when we started filming, I was 18 and Belly, I guess, was 16, around there.
01:27Yeah, and I really felt like each step she was sort of taking,
01:32I was kind of taking one as well and learning my own lessons and making my own mistakes.
01:39And, you know, obviously they weren't the same as hers.
01:42But just, I think every time you learn something, it just, it applies to everything, kind of.
01:48You make, you take another step towards, you know, being more mature or whatever.
01:55So I think with every year with Belly, it was just about thinking about everything that she's learned the past summer or the past year.
02:06And even this year, it was like the past, what, four years?
02:09And thinking about the relationships that she's had, things she's experienced.
02:14I mean, she, all of them experienced a lot of grief and sadness and also a lot of joy and love.
02:24And I think feeling all of those things to the extent that they were, I don't know how to say this in the right way,
02:32but definitely affected.
02:34Like when you feel those feelings for the, for the first time, it's, it's a shock to the system.
02:39And they just affect, I think, the way you move through life after that.
02:43Does that make any sense?
02:44You know what I mean?
02:45Yeah, yeah.
02:45Like, like, like the first time you fall in love, the first time you fall in love, after that, I feel like,
02:51when you know what that feeling feels like, you kind of move a little differently.
02:57I don't know how to explain that.
02:58Or, I mean, yeah, you just, it's just, it's all growth.
03:01It's all growth.
03:02My next question is for Gavin and Christopher.
03:06Fans are definitely split between Team Conrad and Team Jeremiah.
03:10So what would your characters say to convince people that he's the right one for Belly for this season, for this final season?
03:19Oh man, what, if, if it's, what would our characters say?
03:23I would say, I would probably say, um, Jeremiah would feel like he has, um, been there more consistently for her, I would say.
03:37Like, if we're talking what Jeremiah would, how he would see the situation.
03:42That's all he would say?
03:44I wanted to give Chris, I wanted to give Chris an opportunity to speak.
03:50Time crunch, time crunch.
03:50Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:52I think people are like, sorry.
03:53I don't know, I think Conrad would say, um, that you should just let Belly make her own decision.
04:07Um, and that it, that it's up to her what she wants.
04:12Because everything else is sort of...
04:14So you won't convince the people, the fans, that I'm the right one for Belly?
04:19No, I don't think he, uh, I don't think he, he fights for that.
04:24I guess for the both of you as well, um, how do you think your characters handle love and heartbreak differently?
04:32That's a great question.
04:33I think we see a difference in the first two seasons.
04:36Just off of, like, emotional...
04:38I think a lot of it's, like, external versus internal.
04:40Yeah, yeah, big time.
04:42I think there's sort of, like, polar opposites in that way, right?
04:46Yeah, I think Jeremiah kind of feels more, it puts more on a sleeve, and you're able to see it more clearly.
04:51Like, more of the emotion, more of the, um, intensity, whether that be the love and the heartbreak, the grief, whatever it is,
04:57where I feel like maybe Conrad would more so internalize it.
05:01Yeah, I think his habits are more to try and deal with it within himself.
05:05Yeah.
05:07Than put that out there.
05:08For you, Lola, what do you think is the difference between the two characters as Belly sees it?
05:14I mean, I think that's Belly, what they just said, Belly sees that so clearly.
05:18With Jeremiah, it's very much, you know, like, I think if you talk about love languages or whatever, Jeremiah is very much, like, physical touch and being around her and sort of showing each other that they love each other, like, in a physical way.
05:36And I think Conrad is probably more, like, quality time or acts of service, like showing up at Belly's doorstep on Halloween just because he wanted to see her, you know?
05:48Um, and she sees that with both of them.
05:50She knows them so well.
05:51And I think that sort of applies to all areas of their, of their life, not just her relationship with them.
05:59So my last question is for all of you.
06:01You just have to complete the sentence.
06:03So this season, uh, yeah, this season and then your character, Belly, uh, is learning to blank.
06:10And then also for you, Gavin and Christopher, yeah.
06:14I need to think of a word that's not, like, mature.
06:18Learning to read.
06:24Even as a doctor, it's really impressive, actually.
06:27I think this season, Belly is learning to expand.
