06:05Let's go to chapter 19 and the incredible end, the sad end in a way,
06:15of Elisha's incredible ministry.
06:20And God ended it, not because he wanted it ended, but because Elisha screwed up so bad,
06:28he had to be replaced by Elisha.
06:32Here it is, chapter 19.
06:35And you recall before reading this chapter,
06:40all the incredible miracles Elisha had been involved in.
06:45It was unbelievable.
06:47He stopped the drought.
06:50He called down fire from heaven.
06:53He killed 850 prophets, false prophets.
06:58He triggered a revival in Israel.
07:03He resurrected a widow's son.
07:07It went on and on.
07:09Elijah was just off the chain.
07:13Incredible.
07:14He had a freaked out anointing.
07:18And the key to his anointing was he always saw himself as having nothing.
07:23And he was always 100% dependent on the Holy Ghost for the miracles.
07:31100%.
07:31After his biggest triumph, 850 dead prophets of Jezebel, false prophets, leading people astray
07:42in the nation of Israel, Satan's servants, they're all dead, fire coming down from heaven.
07:48It ate everything up.
07:50The sacrifice, the altar, the dust below the altar, everything burned up.
07:56It had to have been a miraculous fire.
07:58Everybody knew it.
07:59And all the nation of Israel fell down worshiping Jehovah or Yahweh.
08:07Okay?
08:07Here it is.
08:08Then, 19 verse 4, Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, how he killed all the prophets
08:18with the sword.
08:21Okay?
08:21Now, Jezebel, as you know, she was a textbook gold digger, a textbook control freak.
08:29And she had married Ahab because she saw in him weakness.
08:33He was a gutless, cowardly loser.
08:37And she saw that he was somebody she could manipulate.
08:40So she could essentially marry Ahab and be the king, which she was.
08:46If he didn't do something she wanted, she nagged him half to death till he did it.
08:51If he wouldn't do what she wanted, she would do it for him.
08:55It was awful.
08:56She was an occult practitioner, almost as bad as Nimrod.
09:04This woman was so infected with familiar spirits, it was like shocking.
09:10And verse 2, Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah saying,
09:15Let the gods do to me, and even more, if I don't kill you by tomorrow.
09:26Okay?
09:27So, Jezebel, being a politician on top of being, I guess, some kind of monstrous witch of some kind,
09:35she didn't want to cause a lot of problems because a revival had broken out in Israel.
09:40And Elijah started it with the killing of the 850 prophets.
09:47And so she sends a message to it.
09:51Instead of sending soldiers over there with swords to kill the guy, she sends him a message.
09:57That was a big mistake because that gave him a chance to run for it.
10:01Okay?
10:01So here you can see God looking out for Elijah at the very beginning of this thing.
10:07So he kept Jezebel from sending soldiers with swords, and he sent a message to him.
10:14Well, he takes off, as you know, and then he's heading for Beersheba with his servant, okay, in Judah.
10:24Then when he got there, he left his servants behind because he had an image in his head.
10:32What was that image?
10:34What was that image?
10:35Well, it's in verse 2.
10:37Jezebel said, let the gods do to me and even more if I don't make your life as one of them by tomorrow.
10:51Them meaning the prophets that he had killed.
10:54850 dead false prophets.
10:56And she said, you are going to be just like them.
11:00So, the Greek word dialogamos is your imagination.
11:07Human beings, the human mind, is far more sophisticated than any creation a god ever had on this earth.
11:21Not in heaven, of course, angels have more, but on this earth, your mind, in your brain, is God's greatest creation in the natural world.
11:33And human beings have an imagination.
11:36They can visualize images and see things, you know, in your mind.
11:42I was a secular counselor for 25 years.
11:46I did a lot of workers' comp industrial injury cases, and some of them had to go through vocational rehabilitation.
11:55And so, I worked as a vocational rehabilitation for several years, and I would give them a bunch of tests, psychological testing, interest testing, aptitude testing, all that stuff.
12:10I did all that for years.
12:11Well, one of the things I would give them was the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test.
12:16I don't even know if they still use that test anymore.
12:19But anyway, if you got a high score on the Bennett Mechanical, that meant that you had great spatial recognition and that you had the ability or the imagination to see mechanical things.
12:34For example, somebody with a high score on that would make a good carpenter or a good electrician or someone who builds things or an architect who visualizes things.
12:48And that's what all human beings have.
12:51They all have an imagination.
12:54Okay?
12:54If somebody tells you something, you have the ability in your mind to imagine that event in your head.
13:04You can imagine it in your head.
13:06Right?
13:07Of course.
13:08Everybody has that ability.
13:10Well, the demons know that.
13:13And so, they give you images in your mind and in your subconscious to control you.
13:25They control you using your imagination.
13:32Dialogamos.
13:32Dialogamos.
13:33And images.
13:36Okay?
13:37So, God's greatest prophet and probably the greatest prophet that ever lived up until that time.
13:44You know, that was 3,500 years ago.
13:47Was Elijah.
13:49The great prophet of God.
13:50The great man of God.
13:52This guy was off the chain, anointed.
13:54He was a freak.
13:56An absolute freak.
13:58To this day, people think he's the greatest prophet simply because of that one miracle, fire coming down from heaven and how it relates to the book of Revelation and the false prophet replicating Elijah's miracle.
14:12That's going to happen in the future.
14:16An image popped in Elijah's mind and he did not take it captive, 2 Corinthians 10, 4 and 5.
14:23He did not cast down that imagination and an image in his mind saw him being killed like those 850 prophets.
14:35It landed.
14:36It landed.
14:37It landed.
14:39It landed.
14:40See?
14:41You have to guard your mind as a born-again Christian, as a ministry, as a minister, as a servant.
14:51Whatever you are, whatever you are, you have to guard your mind from implantations and impartations.
15:04The devil will implant a negative image in your mind of you being hurt or abandoned or being criticized or being rejected.
15:14And you'll actually have an image of somebody doing something to you and this image is extremely dangerous to a born-again Christian.
15:27And it sent Elijah the prophet on his spiral down and he developed a horrible mood disorder.
15:39Verse 3, when he saw that he arose and he went to Beersheba, he left his servant there and then he runs into the wilderness.
15:50You know what he's doing?
15:51This image in his mind of him being killed by the sword, just like he had done to those prophets.
16:01This image in his mind was driving him away from God and into clinical depression, sorrow, suicide ideation, misery, heartache.
16:15This image of him being killed by the sword, which is what Jezebel said she was going to do.
16:22You're going to die just like those prophets you killed.
16:26I'm coming for you tomorrow.
16:33And he goes into the wilderness now.
16:36He'd been running for days and he goes out there to die.
16:43This great prophet and this great man of God was overcome by these satanic images as a mind of being killed by the sword like the other prophets.
16:52And it drove him into unbelief and doubt.
16:58And that's exactly what negative images do to us.
17:03As born again Christians, when you have a negative image in your mind, it will drive you to depression and doubt.
17:12And failure and unbelief.
17:14Now you know the story, verse 5, he goes and sleeps under a juniper tree and the Hebrew word there means cedar trees.
17:24Juniper trees are actually cedar trees.
17:27And an angel touched him on the shoulder.
17:29Hey, you got to get up and eat, man.
17:32And the angel actually provided him angel food cake.
17:39That's where the term comes from, verse 6, 1 Kings 19.
17:45Angel food cake was invented there and it was a supernatural meal this angel had prepared for him.
17:52Well, he eats and drinks and he lies down again and then it happens a second time.
17:57He says, hey, listen, you're going to go on a journey.
18:00You need another supernatural meal because the journey is so long.
18:04As you know, it was a 40-day journey.
18:06So he gets another big batch of angel food cake.
18:11He got up and he headed out to Oreb.
18:13Oreb was a 40-day journey away and God didn't tell him to go to Oreb.
18:26He went there because his image in his mind had ruined him.
18:37He was now suffering from a mood disorder.
18:39He was now suffering from clinical depression and suicide ideation.
18:46The greatest prophet in the world had been crushed by Jezebel.
18:53Why?
18:55The devil had put this image of death in his mind.
19:02And when he gets to Oreb, he wasn't even supposed to go there.
19:06He went there on his own.
19:10He went into a cave.
19:12And he was sleeping there.
19:15And the word of the Lord came to him and said, what are you doing here, Elijah?
19:19The reason he asked what he was doing there is because God didn't tell him to go there.
19:23He just got up from angel food cake with this image in his mind.
19:28Again, when you have negative images and negative thoughts and words in your mind,
19:34you will make bad choices.
19:36That's the first step to bad choices.
19:43It's the first step to losing your ministry, as Elijah did.
19:49And then, after the Lord asked him, what are you doing here?
19:55Elisha makes a major league mistake.
19:58He starts telling the Lord how jealous he's been for Jehovah and how the children of Israel had forsaken God's covenant.
20:11Thrown down how Elijah had thrown down their altars and slain their prophets.
20:21And then, I'm the only one left, he says.
20:23Now they're seeking my life.
20:26Well, here it is.
20:26When you have negative thoughts, images, and emotions, it causes you to develop a horrible disease.
20:39It's called self-pity.
20:42It's called self-pity.
20:44And Elisha had developed it.
20:47Verse 10.
20:50He now said, hey, I'm the only one left.
20:54There's no other prophets.
20:55Well, he knew that wasn't true because he had hid a hundred prophets from Jezebel previously.
21:02So, when you have negative thoughts, images, and concepts in your mind, imparted there, implanted there by demons, it will cause you to forget truth and facts.
21:26You won't remember it.
21:28Elijah couldn't remember that he wasn't the last prophet left.
21:35He himself had saved a hundred of them.
21:43He had saved a hundred of them.
21:47And he couldn't remember it.
21:54Hey, I'm the only one left.
21:55Once self-pity sinks into your soul, you will be destroyed.
22:07So, God did his best to overcome Elijah's mood disorder.
22:12Okay?
22:14When people let you down, when people don't come through for you, when people don't help you, you develop a mood disorder.
22:21You develop things like chronic frustration and anger.
22:25You develop bitterness in your soul.
22:28When those things happen, your blessings from God are blocked.
22:33So, your finances are jacked up.
22:36You don't have any place to live.
22:38You don't have any place to go.
22:40Nobody will help you.
22:41Why?
22:42Because internally, you have become angry and bitter and disappointed.
22:52And you've developed self-pity.
22:54So, God tries to fix it for him.
22:59Verse 11.
23:01Suddenly, a hurricane sweeps through.
23:06Actually, the wind was so powerful, part of the mountain was destroyed.
23:11Then, it says, an earthquake hit.
23:18Again, another part of the mountain was destroyed.
23:23Then, a Los Angeles Grand Canyon fire swept through and burned everything up.
23:31All the plants, all the animals were running for their lives.
23:38All this massive fire come up.
23:42I think they called it the Palisades fire.
23:45And burnt everything up.
23:48Verse 12.
23:50But it says, God wasn't in all the commotion.
23:53He was actually in the still, small voice.
24:04Hearing God speak to you in a still, small voice is the key to overcoming these negative images stuck in your mind.
24:23And when Elijah saw the still, small voice, it says, he humbled himself and wrapped his face in his mantle.
24:35He didn't do it with the earthquake, the fire, the hurricane.
24:41No.
24:42He didn't do it.
24:43But when God gently spoke to him.
24:47See, if you've got bad images in your mind, and you've got a mood disorder, and you've got ought against people,
24:53and you've taken offenses, and you're frustrated, nobody will help me.
24:57I don't have any money.
24:58I don't know where to live.
25:00I don't know what to do.
25:02My kids are nuts.
25:04My parents are crazy.
25:05My spouse is whacked.
25:07Once all these demonic temptations put images in your mind, you develop self-pity.
25:19You become a pitiful person.
25:21Then, Elijah, after he got a second chance from God, blows it again.
25:34He does the same thing he did before.
25:37He gave God the same answer.
25:40I've been very jealous for the Lord.
25:42The children of Israel have forsaken you.
25:48They've forsaken your covenant.
25:51It's been awful.
25:54And I stood up for you.
25:57And I fought back for you.
26:01And I ministered for you.
26:09Bad answer.
26:10Bad answer.
26:11See, once you start focusing on yourself and what you've done,
26:15the devil strips you of everything.
26:19The money's gone.
26:20Your place to live's gone.
26:21Your family's gone.
26:22Your friends are gone.
26:23Your peace is gone.
26:25And he replaces it all with bitterness and anger and depression,
26:30low self-esteem and rejection.
26:32It all comes in.
26:33Now, this is what happened to Elisha.
26:38So God tells him, verse 16, listen,
26:43go anoint Jehu to be the king over Israel.
26:50And then go anoint a prophet when you get there to replace you.
26:59I'm replacing you.
27:01Now, you're not listening.
27:06You're failing.
27:07I gave you two chances.
27:10I need a powerful prophet who will listen to me and not focus on themselves,
27:17but focus on God's miracle working power.
27:22And in verse 16, God tells him, go anoint this king and then anoint the prophet I'm going to send you to replace you.
27:32And that's exactly what the devil wants to do to you.
27:34He wants to replace you.
27:36If you're doing something good for the Lord, he wants you bagged.
27:41Bagged.
27:44Bagged.
27:51That's it.
27:54You say, well, God's kind of harsh.
27:57No, he needs a prophet for Israel.
27:59And Elisha's not that person anymore.
28:03He can't get rid of these negative images of him being killed like those other prophets.
28:11Dialogamous, your imagination is a powerful, powerful thing to a human being.
28:19It's one of the most powerful things about a human being.
28:26How do you think America was built?
28:28Anybody know?
28:29Well, yeah.
28:30Vanderbilt came along.
28:35You know.
28:37J.P. Morgan came along.
28:39Andrew Carnegie came along.
28:42Right.
28:44The oil guy came along.
28:46Rockefeller.
28:49You know, a bunch of others.
28:52How did they actually build America and laid the foundation for the greatest country that ever lived?
28:58How'd they do it?
29:02Imagination.
29:03They could see it before they did it.
29:09Well, there's positive imagination and there's negative imagination.
29:14The negative imagination will lead you to a nightmare.
29:19Self-pity.
29:24Verse 19.
29:25Elijah does what God tells him to do.
29:28He leaves and he finds Elisha plowing in the field.
29:37Okay.
29:38And Elisha passed by him and suddenly Elisha gets an unction from God to go to his parents and tell him, look, I'm leaving.
29:47I'm going to follow the man of God, I'm going to follow the man of God, Elisha.
29:50And you know the rest of the story, right?
29:53Of course you do.
29:55Elisha followed him and followed him until God gave Elisha a third chance.
30:04And it was spectacular.
30:053,500 years ago, Elisha becomes one of only two human beings ever translated alive into heaven.
30:20And he was gone.
30:30Elisha said to Jehovah, I saw all those miracles Elisha did.
30:37I heard about them.
30:39I want twice as much.
30:41And Jehovah said, bingo, it's yours.
30:48And Elisha had twice the ministry of Elisha.
30:54But to this day, people think of Elisha as the greatest prophet, not Elisha.
30:59Why?
31:01Fire from heaven miracle.
31:02That one implanted itself where?
31:09In the imagination of born-again Christians.
31:16The other miracles didn't hit like that one did.
31:19Why?
31:20Because we have an imagination.
31:24And that one struck it.
31:27Your imagination can be great.
31:30Your imagination can destroy you.
31:33And the devil uses your imagination as a weapon or a tool to destroy you.
31:43And sure enough, Elisha anointed Elisha.
31:46Elisha anointed Elisha.
31:48And shortly after that, a chariot of fire, fire, came down from heaven.
31:57There we go.
31:58I haven't done that since I was a kid, made that noise.
32:04And there he went, up into glory, as a human, alive.
32:10Utterly amazing.
32:12My guess is that Enoch and Elijah both come back during the tribulation.
32:16They are both the two witnesses, and they are both murdered by the Antichrist.
32:21And then they are resurrected.
32:22It's really, it's an amazing story.
32:25But this one is more important for us now.
32:29This story.
32:30Not the two witnesses in the future.
32:32That'll wait.
32:34This story is a lifesaver.
32:37You cannot allow images in your mind.
32:45Okay, for example, I've been a counselor for well over 40 years.
32:49I've worked with many sex addicts over the years.
32:57Lust demons use the number one thing.
33:00What is it?
33:04Your imagination.
33:05They put images of sex in your mind.
33:09They use trigger, external triggers.
33:16Here's a hot babe.
33:17There's a GQ guy.
33:20Boop.
33:21And the demons put in an image.
33:23An image of their genitals.
33:25An image of sexual positions.
33:27An image of whatever it is.
33:29And these images and sex addicts are so powerful, it's almost impossible to get them out of their mind.
33:47The devil will use images against you to rob you of your destiny and your anointing and your giftings from God.
33:56He'll use images to get you to wait.
34:02He'll use images to get you to have suicide ideation.
34:06I wish I could die.
34:10Can you imagine that?
34:11With the anointing that Elisha had and all those miracles he had.
34:16The devil wiped him out.
34:18Because he implanted in Elisha's mind.
34:22And he could hear in his imagination.
34:26The words of Jezebel.
34:28And that's how you have crashed.
34:30That's your failure.
34:32Right?
34:33Somebody in your family said something negative to you.
34:35Somebody at school while you were being bullied said something negative to you when you were a kid.
34:45Yep.
34:45And those words created an image.
34:51That image.
34:54That you didn't take captive.
34:56That you should have killed right when it came in.
35:02Built a stronghold in your mind.
35:042 Corinthians 10.
35:06And that stronghold had all these images in it.
35:09And robbed you of your destiny.
35:15Your divine healing.
35:19Your deliverance from demons.
35:23Your Holy Ghost ministry.
35:25Your healing ministry.
35:26All these things.
35:28And much more.
35:31Were stolen from you.
35:32Because the devil implanted.
35:35Just like he did Elisha.
35:38He stole his ministry.
35:40And God bailed him out at the last second.
35:46The Lord does not want to replace you.
35:49He wants to give you another chance.
35:51But you've got to learn.
35:57And I'm hoping that this teaching today will help you.
36:00You have to learn.
36:01To take these images.
36:03Not just the thoughts.
36:05The images.
36:06Created by the thoughts.
36:09The thoughts.
36:10Create an image.
36:12In your imagination.
36:15And you must cast down those imaginations.
36:18And those high things.
36:19That exalt itself against the knowledge of God.
36:23Taking every thought.
36:25Into obedience of Christ.
36:27If you kill the thought.
36:28The imagination.
36:30The image.
36:31The visual.
36:32In your mind.
36:34Never takes hold.
36:38And that's the process of.
36:41Renewing your mind.
36:42That's the essence.
36:44Of spiritual warfare.
36:45Armageddon.
36:50Is in your brain.
36:51It's right here.
36:52It's in your mind.
36:54Your mind.
36:55Is Armageddon.
36:57And the devil.
36:58Will use Jezebel thoughts.
37:00Bonk.
37:01To create an image.
37:03Head cut off with a sword.
37:06Dumped in a ditch.
37:07That's what happened to the prophets.
37:08All of them were executed.
37:11Dumped in a ditch.
37:13They all died.
37:14That image.
37:17Put in there by the words of Jezebel.
37:21Cost Elisha.
37:22His earthly ministry.
37:25But God in his mercy.
37:27Gives him his ministry back in.
37:30The book of Revelation.
37:31And his anointing for miracles.
37:33Is ten times greater than it was when he.
37:36Went up in the chariot.
37:38God was merciful.
37:40And you know what today is.
37:43Mercy day for you.
37:45Mercy day for you.
37:47God's going to send you.
37:49A hurricane.
37:51And an earthquake.
37:52And he's going to destroy that mountain.
37:54Sitting right in front of you.
37:54Nothing's going to crack and fold.
37:57And you.
37:59Are going to take command.
38:01Over your thoughts.
38:02And your images.
38:04In your mind.
38:08And you're going to go up in a chariot.
38:10So to speak.
38:13Of service to God.
38:15In this world.
38:16And after you're dead.
38:17You're going to go on to great rewards.
38:19From the Lord.
38:20In eternity.
38:22Yeah.
38:24You like prophecies?
38:26Okay.
38:26We'll just take that one as one.
38:28I just gave you a prophecy.
38:30That's what you're going to do.
38:31You're going to become a spiritual monster.
38:39But if you don't take captive these thoughts.
38:41And you don't take your imagination.
38:44You don't cast them down.
38:45You're going to sit there.
38:48With bitterness.
38:49And sorrow.
38:50And.
38:52Anger.
38:52Toward other Christians.
38:54Toward the church.
38:56Toward the ministers.
38:58Toward your coworkers.
38:59Toward your parents.
39:00Toward your siblings.
39:02Whoever it is.
39:03And eventually.
39:04Toward yourself.
39:06As Elijah did.
39:08I came here to die.
39:09He left his servant.
39:11Behind.
39:12So that no one would know where he went.
39:15To end his life.
39:18Can you imagine that?
39:19He was praying.
39:20And asking God.
39:21That was his prayer.
39:23To kill him.
39:26He went.
39:28How can this be?
39:29It wasn't Jezebel.
39:31It was the words.
39:32Elisha received.
39:35And the images.
39:36Those words.
39:38Created.
39:41That cost him his earthly ministry.
39:44Even though God had mercy on him.
39:47We'll give it to him.
39:49Give it back to him.
39:50Times ten.
39:51During the.
39:53Tribulation.
39:55How about you friend?
39:58Yeah.
39:59Are you in the mood.
39:59To cast down these imaginations.
40:01And these high things.
40:02That exalt itself.
40:04Against the.
40:05Word of God.
