00:00yeah a good weekend for the angels to start the second half in philadelphia they take two out of
00:05three from the phillies they were able to avoid that uh schwarber uh grand slam on saturday
00:11to win two out of three eight to two on sunday taylor ward doing the damage on fandle sportsnet
00:18taylor ward on ball two strikes and ward sucks one toward the gap in left center field this is deep
00:25it's headed toward the alley as it bounces off the wall and unloads the bases three runs are in
00:31taylor ward strikes again on the road and it's a five run inning for the halos
00:36well there you go you know they're not a bad uh ball club i mean they've uh surprised me all season
00:43to be honest with you uh they have definitely been uh i guess you could say better than usual right
00:50i mean considering because yeah considering that they're at their game under 500 and it's the end
00:57of july uh for them they usually put it in the tank by june so uh they've actually hung around uh here
01:05for a little bit uh i mentioned the schwarber uh granny on saturday phillies want to resign schwarber
01:10ownership said this weekend of course he's going to be a free agent at the end of the year don't
01:15really want to let him get out and about do you think he wants to go home to uh cincinnati and
01:21finish his career with the reds no i think he'd stay rather stay in philadelphia i think he i think
01:27he really likes it there i i think he uh i think that's the place for him i don't think he's going
01:33to go back to cincinnati i don't think cincinnati really is uh he well i think well i actually think
01:40they could and i think you know they would love to get their hands on him the way he hits home runs
01:46but uh philly says they're gonna give him a deal so let's see if they step up and do it money usually
01:53talks at the when it comes down to this stuff as much as guys say that they love it somewhere oh i
01:58love this place oh i do that uh 80 of the time it's still all about uh the money you know listen
02:05there's one thing uh money's everything and then the other thing is i can't stand it now that bothers
02:11me for some reason in sports when these guys leave and go somewhere else they do these phony ass
02:17like you know ads in the newspaper or billboards of thanking the you know city that they played in
02:26and i mean every single guy does it like when they move on there isn't a player in sports that doesn't
02:33do the uh proverbial goodbye ad in the local paper like it's pathetic to me it is like it's like
02:42it's all about money it's not about oh i loved all you people so much thank you for everything you
02:46i became a man here yeah sure none of these players give a rat's ass about anywhere they play
02:53all they care about is money know that start living that way and you'll understand things better
02:59in sports like it's all about money nothing else matters nothing where they play where they live
03:05their family oh you know oh my family oh money is everything it's like another one like look at your
03:16boy von miller there's no reason for that guy to play football anymore he's completely finished
03:22he is absolutely toast burnt toast and what do they do they give him a few million dollars to come
03:28back and rush on third down and never sack anybody who wouldn't take the money who wouldn't take that
03:34last paycheck if they're going to give it to you at the pro sports level they just pay people millions
03:39now to do nothing i mean like honestly in baseball there are i mean it's like 80 percent of the league
03:48hits 200 and they all make millions it's amazing to me no one can hit but they all make millions
03:55i was going over it today with my son the amount of 400 guys that chased 400 in in baseball and how we
04:05we were talking about uh this guy on the padres uh what's his name arise that you know he you know
04:12bottom line is he's hitting like um he's literally hitting like 280 the high he's ever had is 350
04:19and people try to compare him to tony guinn we've done this on this show before tony guinn was three
04:24hits away from batting 400 and this kid never 350 and 400 do you know how far that is that's like
04:32flying to london to the new york it's so far 350 to 400 is like the gap of getting to 400 and 350 is
04:40it's impossible it's absolutely impossible you're either a 390 hitter or you aren't
04:47it's simple as that there are no george brett's there are no rod caroose and there's no tony guinn's
04:54anymore in baseball that's all there is to it nobody can hit but they make hundreds of millions
04:58of dollars it's amazing to me that is truly mind-boggling that they make all this money and
05:04none of them can hit
