00:00Well, we know that South West Water have told us that they're coming to do the work tomorrow
00:03in order to re-establish the supply to the building.
00:07But once that's completed, we then have to have another plumber come along
00:10to complete the connection to the loft tanks
00:13in order to get the facility back into a functional condition.
00:17Since we took over, the church has spent thousands of pounds on getting this to work,
00:23only for South West Water to cut the water off so it no longer works.
00:28And West Devon Borough Council have been very generous
00:31and offered us a fair amount of compensation,
00:35which is more than twice what South West Water have offered,
00:40even though it is the fault of South West Water that there is no water at the toilets.
00:45Well, for the first eight weeks, nobody from South West Water would talk to us at all.
00:50So that made life very difficult.
00:53We've had a number of weddings and baptisms up on the tour.
00:57We have 30,000 people who visit here every year.
01:02And over half term alone in May, we had 1,000 people go through the doors of the church.
01:08So we were able to source some portaloos from a local company in Lawnstone.
01:15Unfortunately, that's costing us £250 a month.
01:19We're grateful for them.
01:20It's better that they're there, because then we don't find human faeces on the floor,
01:25which is what we were finding when the toilets were closed.
01:29And one other factor that's important to remember is that this whole arrangement is funded purely from public donations.
01:36There is no generous people around the community who give money in order to maintain this facility.
01:42It's definitely what it's called to Anita
01:51and if you leave tonight, you're welcome.
01:52So let's do this for a minute and one another reason why it is a very free and more unhappy as you do.
