00:00This time-lapse footage shows an aggressive brush fire spreading through Orange County, California.
00:05It's been dubbed the Airport Fire because it began Monday near a remote-controlled airplane airport, according to CBS News.
00:12Authorities say it was begun accidentally by a public works crew.
00:15CBS says that by Tuesday afternoon it had covered almost 20,000 acres.
00:20This map from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or CAL FIRE, shows the fire's progress as of Wednesday morning.
00:27The orange area represents recent perimeters, while the green and reddish-brown areas show evacuation orders and warnings.
00:34USA Today says that thousands of people have either evacuated or prepared to do so.
00:39CAL FIRE says there have been seven confirmed injuries so far and that over 629 firefighters are battling the blaze on the ground.
00:47But, quote, resource availability is strained due to the other active fires in the Southern California area.
