00:00Roy Pulver, a retired Delta Force soldier, finds himself trapped in a time loop, reliving the same
00:05day over and over. It's the 139th time he's gone through this day, and by now, he's memorized every
00:11detail. Each morning, at exactly 7 a.m., a man breaks into his apartment to kill him and the
00:17woman he slept with the previous night. Shortly after, a helicopter appears outside his window
00:22and opens fire on the apartment until it explodes. Having experienced this numerous times, Roy knows
00:28precisely when and where to move to avoid the danger. After avoiding the helicopter's gunfire,
00:33Roy leaps out of the window, landing on a truck full of sand, a feat that took him 22 tries to
00:38get right. He then hijacks a car, attempting to escape two more assassins in a minivan.
00:44Roy, not knowing their real names, calls these assassins Pam and Esmeralda. They chase him
00:49through the city, shooting at him relentlessly. Roy can evade them as long as he remains focused
00:53and remembers to dodge an oncoming bus. However, this time he forgets and he gets hit. Then,
00:59the day resets once again. Each loop plays out similarly, with only minor changes depending
01:04on Roy's actions or what he forgets to do. In addition to Pam and the helicopter, there are
01:09other assassins after him. There is Guan Yin, a sword-wielding killer. Then Kaboom, a short man
01:15who plants bombs on him to explode. Smiley, who enjoys impaling him and tying him to the back
01:20of a truck then, the German twins. Finally, there is a man Roy refers to as Roy No. 2 because of
01:26his similar appearance. Even when Roy manages to kill some of these assassins, it's never enough.
01:31The others always find and kill him, resetting the loop. Roy believes that his ex-wife Gemma holds
01:37the answers to what's happening, but when he tries calling her office, her boss, Colonel Clive Ventu,
01:42answers instead. He informs Roy that Gemma died in an accident, though Roy suspects she was murdered.
01:47Unfortunately, he never survives long enough to uncover the full truth. On days when Roy successfully
01:53evades Pam and the bus, he makes it to Jake's Diner, where he needs to grab a seat at the bar before
01:57a swordmaster named D-Fong takes the last spot. There, Roy drowns his sorrows, listening to a conspiracy
02:04theorist sitting next to him. However, by 1247, the assassins always track him down and kill him,
02:10meaning Roy has never lived past this moment. Roy has tried countless alternative routes, but no matter
02:15what, the assassins always manage to find and kill him. During one such death, Roy recalls the events
02:21of the day before the time loop started. He had visited Gemma at her workplace, Dino Laboratories, after she
02:27had left him a message. She mentioned the company was hiring, though it became clear she wasn't interested
02:31in his resume. Instead, she took measurements and a hair sample from Roy, including his blood. Watching through
02:37security cameras, Ventu and his bodyguard, Brett, monitored the interaction. Roy questioned her about a
02:43mysterious machine she was working on. So she explained that it had the power to undo all of
02:48time and space, and could even destroy the planet if mishandled. Roy also brought up their son, who
02:53doesn't know Roy as his father and believes him to be just a family friend. Roy begged for a chance to
02:58be in his son's life. However, Gemma changed the conversation, and they were interrupted by Brett,
03:04who reminded Gemma that this was a restricted area. So she sent Roy away but mentioned she had sent him
03:09an important birthday present, and cryptically told him to remember Osiris. As Roy left, Venta grew
03:14suspicious of what Roy had learned about their experiments and ordered Brett to have him dealt
03:18with, hiring random assassins instead of trained soldiers to avoid any traceback to them. Later that
03:24night, Roy went to a bar and met a woman named Alice. She was just another one-night stand, but while
03:29Roy was with her, he received a call from Gemma, sounding distressed and asking for his help. However, before she
03:35could explain, Venta cut off the call. Roy sensed something was wrong but chose to ignore it, and
03:40stayed with Alice instead of checking on Gemma. Meanwhile, Gemma placed Roy's hair and blood into
03:45the machine she had been working on. Seeing this, Venta concluded that she had gone rogue and sent
03:50Brett after her. This was the last normal day Roy lived before the time loop began. In the present,
03:56Roy recalls the conversation he had with Gemma and remembers the birthday present she mentioned.
04:00He finally opens it and finds a book titled Iset and Osiris, with a note from Gemma on the
04:05back cover that says time waits for no man. Distracted by the book, Roy forgets to take the
04:10necessary steps to avoid the assassins and dies two more times before managing to escape with the book.
04:16While fleeing, he notices a button in the car he always hijacks, one he had never pressed before.
04:21Pressing it makes the car go much faster, causing him to miss the usual exit to Jake's diner.
04:26Instead, Roy ends up at an underground mall, where he sits down to read the book. He doesn't understand
04:31its relevance to his situation, and he is interrupted when he sees his son, Joe, buying something from an
04:36older kid. Realizing that Joe is the only family he has left now that Gemma is dead, Roy follows him
04:42into an arcade. There, he scolds Joe for skipping school and asks what he bought. Joe reveals that
04:47he only purchased trading cards, not anything illegal. Roy then invites Joe to lunch, and as they leave the
04:53arcade, Roy notices it's 12.50. This is the longest he's survived since the loop started. Roy realizes that
04:59the metal walls of the diner and the underground mall must have blocked the assassins from tracking him.
05:04Unfortunately, the assassins soon arrive, and Roy is shot while shielding Joe, dying as he tells his son that
05:10he is his father. The day resets, and Roy confronts the man who breaks into his apartment, demanding to know
05:15about the tracker. He gets no answers and soon heads to the diner, where he inspects his body, even checking
05:21inside his mouth, but finds nothing. Remembering that the conspiracy theorist at the diner knows about
05:26trackers, Roy asks for his advice. The man suggests that the tracker could be hidden in Roy's teeth,
05:32triggering a memory of Alice, who is a dental hygienist, putting him under anesthesia while
05:36Brett watched. She was part of the trap all along. Determined to find the tracker, Roy gets alcohol
05:41and pliers from Jake, and begins pulling out his teeth in the bathroom, finally discovering the
05:46tracker. However, he is killed shortly after by Roy No. 2. When the day resets again, Roy confronts
05:52Alice, who admits she was paid by Brett to implant the tracker. After this revelation, Roy follows his usual
05:58routine until he removes the tracker at Jake's diner, and uses it to set a trap in an abandoned building.
06:04Pam shows up, but refuses to reveal who hired her, so Roy kills her with her own gun. Despite his newfound
06:10freedom without the tracker, Roy realizes that Gemma put him in this time loop for a reason. However, with no way to
06:16save her, everything feels pointless. His only remaining goal is revenge, and he takes pleasure
06:21in killing all the assassins that have been hunting him. Using a phone he stole from one of the assassins,
06:27Roy contacts Brett, and promises to find both Brett and Venter. He then drives to the laboratory where
06:32the Osiris spindle is located, but his attempt to break in fails. Brett shoots him, and the day resets
06:38once more. Determined to infiltrate the lab, Roy tries various methods to sneak in. He crashes cars,
06:44plants bombs, and even pretends to be his doppelganger, Roy No. 2. Eventually, he learns
06:49how to navigate the lab's security systems, and avoids detection by guards and cameras.
06:54After numerous attempts, Roy figures out how to smuggle weapons inside, but his next challenge
06:59is Guan Yin, who wields a sword with deadly precision. Each time Roy confronts her, she kills him,
07:05and Venter gloats about his plan to reset history during Roy's final moments. Through one of Venter's
07:09monologues, Roy learns the machine is called the Osiris spindle, a device designed to
07:14reset time. It dawns on him that Gemma, who helped develop the spindle, deliberately involved him
07:19in this scenario to stop Venter. Empowered by the realization that Gemma still believes in him,
07:24Roy embarks on a new plan. First, Roy removes the tracking device from his tooth then, he approaches
07:29Deeb Fong, the swordmaster he's admired from a distance at the diner. He asks her for sword
07:34fighting lessons. Then through many loops, Roy sharpened his skills, eventually becoming proficient
07:39enough to defeat Guan Yin in battle. After disarming her and cutting off her ponytail in a symbolic
07:44victory, Roy kills Guan Yin using her own sword. Next, Roy faces Brett and Venter. Brett dies quickly
07:51when Roy stabs him in the forehead, and then Roy engages in a fistfight with Ventu. Ventu attempts
07:56to grab a gun, but Roy recovers his sword and nails Ventu's hand to the floor. Roy tells Venter that no one
08:02should have the power to rewrite history, arguing that humanity must learn from the past. Venter sneers,
08:09implies that Roy's son Joe, may be in danger. Enraged, Roy kills Ventu and rushes to the mall, where Joe
08:15is frequently seen. Unfortunately, Roy arrives too late and discovers that Joe is already dead. Overwhelmed
08:21with grief, Roy realizes that Joe's death has likely happened many times throughout the loops. As the
08:27police try to prevent him from approaching Joe's body, a bright light floods the sky signaling the end
08:32of the world, just as Gemma had warned. Roy blames himself for abandoning Gemma and ignoring her pleas for
08:37help, leading to her death and their son's involvement in this tragic situation. Despair
08:42consumes Roy, and he falls into an apathetic state. He allows the assassins to kill him repeatedly in
08:48each reset, as he sees no point in continuing to fight if the world is destined to end. However,
08:53after many violent deaths, Roy snaps out of his apathy and resolves to spend his remaining time
08:58bonding with Joe. He begins to pick Joe up from school, spending each day playing video games and
09:03having lunch together until the world resets once again. Although Roy wants to tell Joe that he is
09:08his father, fear holds him back. During loop 249, Roy brings up Gemma's work, and Joe reveals that he
09:15had spoken with her early that morning, after she failed to return home. This revelation shocks Roy,
09:20as he had assumed Gemma died the previous night. Realizing there may be a way to save her,
09:25Roy devises a new plan. In the next loop, Roy sneaks back into the laboratory and shoots both Brett and
09:30Venter. He then demands answers from Brett, who admits that they had been trying to control the
09:34Osiris spindle, but Gemma sabotaged it, and now they cannot stop the chain reaction she started.
09:40Venter realizes that Roy has been able to infiltrate the lab because the spindle is working,
09:45and Roy is its missing piece. Roy reviews the security footage, and discovers that Gemma dies
09:50precisely 14 minutes after he wakes up each day. Determined to save her, Roy shoots himself to reset the
09:56day, and immediately sets out to rescue Gemma. He kills the first assassin as usual, but changes
10:01his routine by leaping out of his apartment window, and hijacking the helicopter that has been sent to
10:06kill him. Threatening the pilot, Roy forces him to fly to the laboratory. Then armed with a machine
10:11gun from the helicopter, Roy fights his way through the guards and assassins, killing them all. He
10:16finally reaches Gemma's lab, where he finds Brett attacking her. Without hesitation, Roy kills both
10:22Brett and Venter. Finally reunited with Gemma, she asks how many tries it took to save her.
10:27He lies and says it was only one, but Gemma sees through him as he begins recounting everything he
10:33has learned about their son Joe. Gemma explains that there is no way to stop the Osiris spindle.
10:38The only solution is for Roy to enter the machine, which was designed to match his DNA. Doing so should
10:43reset the day one final time, and restore the timeline to normal. However, Gemma isn't certain this will
10:48work, as this is the first time she has managed to activate the spindle. If the plan fails and Roy
10:53dies again, he will be gone for good. Despite the uncertainty, Roy feels confident he now has
10:58enough information to save both Gemma and Joe. After kissing Gemma goodbye, Roy enters the Osiris
11:04spindle, hoping to reset time for a new spindle. Hoping to reset time for a new spindle, hoping to reset time for a new spindle.
