00:08The deaths had led to a new push to get labor protections and rights that public servants
00:13like firefighters do not have.
00:15The protesters want protection under the Workplace Safety Act and the right to form a union,
00:20as well as a system in which firefighters aren't pushed into roles they haven't been
00:24trained to do.
00:25They want the Democratic Progressive Party or DPP to take a clear stance on these demands.
00:54The protest comes just ahead of a mass recall vote that could put the DPP back into a legislative
