00:00I think it's really important to be supporting Pride this year with like the
00:03climate that's going on. I'm here, this is my first time at Pride. I am here
00:08because I'm pan and I am very excited to be here. It's very cool, the
00:15atmosphere is electric, it's really really cool. I just think it's really
00:20important to be supporting these sort of things right now and when you know
00:24there's a lot of people that are struggling specifically.
00:27We've been loads of times, then our kids grew up and this is Lou's child, well he's not a child, he's in his mid-twenties now, but this is Leon, he's a proper diva, this is my daughter, she's 14, she's not a diva yet, but she will end up being, I'm not gay but the kids are, and we just love Gay Pride, and Leeds is just the best in it.

00:52It's good fun isn't it, it's all good fun, it's the second time we've been. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we've been.
00:56We've been last year as well, it's quite enjoyable, yeah, we'll see all these faces, yeah, everybody's looking enjoyable and beautiful, yeah, everybody's enjoying, we enjoying, yeah, why not?

01:17Yeah. All about being inclusive and proud of who you are.
01:20Exactly. Proud of being. Proud to be Pride. Yes.
01:25I think this is my fourth Leeds Pride. I used to march for work, but we don't, well we don't anymore.
01:33And so I just continue to show up to make community and try and show my support.
01:41Like, things have been particularly tough for certain members of the LGBT community, particularly our trans friends and allies.
01:52And it's important for us to see that we are still here, we are still supported and loving, regardless of what governments or other organisations may say.
02:06The support is still very much present, as evidenced by everyone who's shown up, despite the less than ideal weather.
02:13I'm here today, basically to support the LGBTQ plus community.
02:19It's the first time that I've ever attended this. I've come from Pontiacrac, I've cycled in.
02:24I think Leeds is a fantastic diverse community in general, and I'm here to support that community.
02:30Because when you look globally, and you look at places like Iran or, you know, regime countries, I think we're so lucky to have this vibrant community.
02:42And that's why I'm here today.
02:44Just come be yourself, enjoy yourself. It's such a good time. You know, I recommend it to anybody. Families, you know, a thing.
