I Asked 'Moana 2's' Directors About The Movie's Ending, And They Pointed Out A Great Easter Egg Nodding At It That I Don't Think Most Fans Caught

"Moana 2" is the latest of big movies to be new to streaming following its massive theatrical run. And, in celebration of the film's Disney+ debut, CinemaBlend had the chance to talk to two of the directors about a few aspects of it that might have missed the first time you watched it. So, get your remotes ready and follow along with us on some exciting easter eggs and fun tidbits.

00:00If you look when Kei-Lei is throwing things out of the canoe, you'll see something very familiar.

00:07Honestly, I think more it's a love letter to the first film in the sense that if you've watched the first film a million times,

00:14there's things that we do are obviously repeats to that or are playing with that idea.

00:20But we tried to actually hold back on doing as many of those, so it really just sort of keeps you in the world.

00:26When you're in Can I Get a Chi-Hu, the motif behind Moana when she lands on Multifet 2,

00:33that is the motif that she ultimately gets when she becomes a demigod.

00:45I love that so much, I had no idea.
