00:26I'm Joe and I'm the other one. We are Circa Waves and we're on tour in America. Halfway through and we are playing with a band called Friday Pilots Club and we are promoting our record Death and Love Part 1.
00:41And this is the hellhole that we've found ourselves in.
00:44Hi, so this is the living area where we've got a table. You can put your coffee, your tape, your Bluetooth speaker, this sticker of this guy.
00:53And then if you move along, we've got the fireplace going. Why not?
00:59Microwave. Heat your food up. Who doesn't like hot food?
01:04This. Whiskey. Wine. Nutri-grain.
01:12Okay. You've got your water. You've got your stuff. Look at this guy. Hello. Bananas. Hershey's miniatures. Don't like them at all. Gatorade. Just all of the nutrients young men need to make rock and roll.
01:35So I think we're all pretty big foodies in the band. So I don't know if anyone has noticed, but this is actually the Tendi tour that we're on, unofficially.
01:43So we're getting chicken tendies in every place that we can and doing little reviews of them. Because we're just such food connoisseurs, you know.
01:51Not all tendies are created equal. And we're discovering that all across America.
01:56Yeah, we've been revisiting The Last Dance, the Michael Jordan documentary, because it felt fitting.
02:01And we're in Chicago today, and so we were just preparing just so we were all up on Michael Jordan law.
02:07We watched the platform where there's a platform of food and you have to kill people to eat it. It was shit.
02:17With the lack of suspension, you need to really clip yourself down to something.
02:23So if you can get onto that table and stay still, then you'll probably be safe.
02:27Yeah. We tend to do a lot of just like plank, like planking.
02:32Yeah. So just once it's going, you get into your plank and then just lock it in, lock it in.
02:38And it's a real full body workout. It's amazing.

04:16Um, but you know, touring was never made to be comfortable.

04:30So this is what it feels like when we're on the road and we're driving.

04:40On the first night we sat down, we all had to say one nice thing about the RV.
04:43Yes.

04:45Because on the way here, our flight got cancelled.
04:47So we had to fly to Newark instead of Washington.
04:50And we all got on this bus to drive to Washington.
04:52And we were going to have about three hours sleep before we had to get up again and go to the gig.
04:56And we're all just sat there in like a stony silence.
04:59And then I was like, let's just all say one nice thing.
05:03And I was trying to say one nice thing, but it was so fucking loud.
05:06Nobody could hear me.
05:07And it just, I think it just, that broke me immediately.
05:10Um, this episode should be called rock band complains about their job.
05:15It's not that bad.
05:18You know, it's a bus and it moves.
05:20And we get from place to place.
05:23Four wheels.
05:24Has it got four?
05:25I don't know.
