00:09It's a totally new driver lineup for McLaren in 2019.

00:37You're obviously 18 years old. Have you passed your test?

00:45But never have you been letting me forget that, ever.

00:48I've always wanted to be part of McLaren since I was very young.

00:51Every year, I've basically taken a step up into the next category,

00:54from Formula Four all the way to Formula One now.

00:57I think Landon will be an awesome talent.

01:06He certainly has the CV that would suggest he's a future world champion.

01:12I think being partnered with Carlos for next year is very exciting.

01:25Landon, you're the latest young drivers coming to McLaren.

01:28We've seen Sergio Perez, we saw Kevin Mags, and we saw Stoffel Van Doren.

01:32They've all gone within two years.

01:34Are there any concerns about following that kind of person?

01:37No, because I'm better.

01:41We're taking some risk there, but we think it's the right decision.

01:46In one sense, it's a risk.

01:48In another, if it pays off, he'll look like a genius.
