Northern Territory rodeo ramps up romance at annual agricultural show

It boasts the biggest agricultural display in the Top End, but as the show winds down at the end of the day in Katherine, the rodeo ramps up. Each year, thousands of people dust off their boots and meet up with mates from all corners of the Northern Territory. And for a lucky few this year, romance is in the air as well.

00:09on every station's calendar north of the Tanami.

00:12The show is sort of that one time of year where everyone hits town and you get to see

00:16all those people that you don't get the chance to when you're working, so yeah, it's really

00:21good.

00:22As dusk sets in, the action heats up.

00:24No shortage of support from the stands for those in the saddle.

00:27My daughter's riding tonight, so we thought we'd come down and cheer everyone on.

00:32There's a few fellas from our camp in there, so they should go all right, and one went

00:35good last year, so see how it goes this year.

00:38From bucking broncos to bucking bulls, thrill seekers don't have to look far to get their

00:54As the sun sets on the rodeo arena, there's another event attracting a pretty big crowd.

00:59There might not be any bulls or broncos, but there are plenty of cowboys, and they're

01:07The Lovemuster is a speed dating event like no other.

01:11I'd like a social person, and someone who can ride a bull, and a horse, like a bronc.
