00:06against the intelligence law promoted by President Alain Loboa.
00:10Organizations such as the Permanent Committee for the Defense of Human Rights, Women's Communication
00:14Workshop and the Regional Foundation for Human Rights Counseling, among others, presented
00:19before the Constitutional Court their action.
00:21Their organizations claim that several articles of the law seriously violate fundamental rights
00:26enshrined in the Constitution, such as freedom of expression, access to public information
00:32or the protection of personal data and privacy, among a long list.
00:36Jonathan Finlay, one of the activists promoting the legal action, states that the law empowers
00:41the states to arbitrarily order the persecution and collection of mass data.
