00:00A mega trilogy deserved a mega event for its conclusion and that is what we got on Friday

00:13as Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano met for the third and presumably final time at Madison Square

00:19Garden and once again put forth a fantastic fight. I know that there are a lot of people

00:26who are a bit more down on this fight. I enjoyed it immensely. I thought this was a really really

00:32entertaining uh really fascinating fight to watch. Um I had the the score 96-94 for Katie Taylor so

00:40again as I said going into the week the only thing undisputed about these two is that there is

00:46absolutely a ton of dispute as to who is better but three fights basically three or four rounds

00:53going Taylor's way and that is the difference in all three of them. She just she was so good

00:58defensively. Her counter boxing was excellent and the defense was second to none and I thought this

01:04time one of the differences was that she did a better job of getting off first which probably

01:10was the big difference and we talked about coming in what's going to be that adjustment what is going

01:15to be the big change that you see in this fight it was that it was that Taylor not only was uh great

01:23defensively and getting those counter punches off but she was very good at landing first and beating

01:28Serrano to the punch quite frankly it was very well done Serrano just looked like a terminator in there

01:37the forward pressure the power was still great she just got caught a few too many times um as she was

01:43walking in and I think that kind of won over the heart obviously of me I didn't have her winning

01:47the fight but won over the hearts of the judges as well but again I just I want to state both were

01:54very impressive in this fight and it was a high level fight all the way around I I do think it's the

02:00end of the rivalry now I I know that it's another close fight and another very like very competitive

02:07fight you can't go for a fourth one when one has won all three like you just you can't so this is

02:14the end of this rivalry I I was a little bit frustrated with the amount of people who were

02:20complaining about this fight online and I I admittedly uh as you can probably tell with us

02:24doing a breakdown of it a little bit later on I wasn't able to watch this live and so I got all the

02:28social media reactions so maybe I was expecting it to just be a snooze fest it's like oh okay well

02:32still watch and then came and it's like this was this was fascinating I really enjoyed how this

02:39fight played out in the chess match that you had it wasn't the explosive fight of the first two that

02:43that is absolutely 100 accurate but if this was the first fight I think we'd be very excited about

02:48another fight between these two to see how it would go um like I I just think because it had the lofty

02:53goal or the lofty standard of the first two to live up to um it created a bit of a a difficult

03:00situation I think for them to live up to but overall that this was a fantastic fight and a

03:05very very good performance from both and in the end Katie Taylor just able to edge her way past Amanda
