The devastating Texas floods of July 2025 didn't just impact humans—they took a heartbreaking toll on animals too.
As flash floods surged through central Texas, rising 26 feet in just 45 minutes along the Guadalupe River, countless pets and wild animals were caught in the chaos. Many pets were separated from their families, displaced, or tragically lost their lives. Animal shelters across Texas became overwhelmed, requiring emergency support from organizations nationwide.

Wildlife also suffered immensely as their natural habitats were submerged or destroyed. Entire ecosystems were disrupted, and countless animals were left injured, stranded, or drowned.

This video documents the emotional and tragic aftermath of how the Texas floods destroyed animal lives—both pets and wildlife. It’s a sobering reminder of the unseen toll natural disasters take on the most vulnerable among us.
