00:00Thank you very much, Chair Fox. Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, we all know
00:06what Neil Armstrong said when he first walked on the moon. As founder of the Doge Caucus,
00:13I'm proud to say with this rescissions package, the first of its kind in 25 years, we are taking
00:21one small step to cut wasteful spending, but one giant leap towards fiscal sanity. But Houston,
00:28we have a problem. We are still $37 trillion in debt, and this year alone, we will run a $1.7
00:36trillion deficit. So with this small step today, let's commit to the giant leap. Here's my challenge
00:43to the White House. Let's do a rescissions package every month because America has had enough,
00:51enough to wasteful spending, enough to out-of-control deficits. We do have a long journey ahead,
00:57but thankfully, not as far as the moon. All systems are go. Let the countdown begin. And
01:03let's launch to fiscal sanity by voting yes to clawing back $9 billion. I'm ready. The House is
01:12ready. America is ready. Let's go get them. I yield back. Gentleman yields back. Gentle lady from North
01:20Carolina reserves. The gentleman from Massachusetts is recognized. He's concerned about unchecked
01:26deficits and debt. He just voted for a bill to add $4 trillion to the debt. Come on, give
01:32me a break. Mr. Speaker, I yield one minute to the gentleman from New York, the Democratic
01:36Leader, Mr. Jeffries.
