Oregon Ducks Wide Receivers Coach Ross Douglas Discusses What It Has Been Like Being On The West Coast
Transcript
00:00Two more, Eric and Zach.
00:07Ross, I'm not sure you've spent a lot of time on the West Coast.
00:09I'm just curious on kind of what it's like being out here
00:11and kind of maybe if there's any culture shock,
00:13kind of what stands out.
00:14I know you've only been here, you probably nose down on football,
00:15but just kind of what your first impressions have been.
00:18Oh, no, I like the West Coast.
00:19I mean, shoot, I think the biggest culture shock is
00:21I have a one-and-a-half-year-old son,
00:22and he's adjusting to the Pacific time zone,
00:25so that's kind of been the biggest culture shock.
00:26You know, he's waking up at 2 o'clock in the morning,
00:293 o'clock in the morning, and, you know,
00:31I have to get up with him, my wife has to get up with him,
00:33so I'll just say that's the biggest adjustment so far.
00:35But, no, I like the West Coast.
00:36I mean, I've never lived the furthest West I've ever lived
00:39in my entire life was Michigan, and that's the Midwest.
00:42So, no, I like it out here.
00:43I think it's beautiful.
00:45I think I love the energy out here.
00:46I think this is a great football program,
00:48a great university, great people.
00:49Everyone I've met has been very welcoming and very pleasant.
00:53So, no, I've enjoyed my experience so far.
00:54So, you know, I'm from Ohio, so me coming all the way out here,
00:58no, I like it out here.
00:59It feels like home.
01:00Last question, Zach.
