00:00Hey everybody, it's Katelyn.
00:01This week's theme on 7 Gymnastics Girls
00:03is Gymnastics Freestyle.
00:05So I decided to teach
00:08my sister,
00:10Megan, hi,
00:11some simple gymnastics moves.
00:13So before we start, I wanted to point out that
00:15she has done cheer, tumbling, and
00:17gymnastics in previous years.
00:19So she already knows some of the
00:21simpler gymnastics moves, but
00:22I'm just going to be teaching her some more and
00:25how to perfect them. So, let's get started.
00:27The first thing Megan is going to learn
00:31is a handstand.
00:33So you're going to start with your arms up
00:35and your good leg in front.
00:37And kick.
00:47That's good.
00:48Just kick out your legs a little bit more
00:51so that it goes up
00:53and then you bring the other one to it.
00:55Oh, that was better.
00:57Next, Megan is going to do
00:59a backbend.
01:01So just start with your arms up
01:03and then
01:04I'm going to spot her.
01:06Spread your legs out a little bit more.
01:10I have you.
01:12I don't know, you're going to have to go.
01:14Just fall back.
01:19Okay.
01:20Now we're going to do
01:39something a little bit easier.
01:41A cartwheel.
01:41So, start with your good leg in front.
01:45And then you're going to reach out.
01:49And kick it off.
01:53Next, Megan is going to try a round off.
01:58Start with your good leg in front.
02:04That's good.
02:05That was good.
02:06Now Megan is going to do a kickover.
02:08Okay, now kick with your good leg.
02:23I'm good.
02:28I forgot what leg it was.
02:30That was better.
02:31Next, Megan is going to try
02:33to do a handstand backbend.
02:35Just go into your handstand
02:37and fall back into the head.
02:39I'll spot you.
02:40Just go in the handstand.
02:43Ow.
02:45I didn't know where it was.
02:56Good.
02:57That one was good.
02:58Now we're going back to an easier skill,
03:01which is just going to be a split jump.
03:03First, I'm going to show a split jump.
03:08Now Megan's going to try it.
03:11So, you're going to jump and then split.
03:14And if both of your legs are straight,
03:16and you can have your arms up.
03:18That was good.
03:25Next, Megan is going to try a split leap.
03:39Okay, so you're going to take one or two steps,
03:43and then your last step should be with your bad leg.
03:46And then you're going to bend it and push off
03:50and then you're going to flip it.
03:52One, two, three, three.
03:55You got it.
03:56Yeah.
03:59That was pretty good.
04:00Just keep your chest up more
04:02and try to push off a little bit higher.
04:05I'm going to pull it out.
04:10That's better.
04:12So, Megan, how do you feel about learning those gymnastic skills,
04:15and how do you think you did?
04:17I feel like I've lost a lot of my skills
04:19since the last time I've done cheer or tumbling or anything.
04:24And I feel like it hurt.
