Government critics in Eswatini have accused the government of selling out the country after it took in five men accused of violent crimes who were deported from the US.

00:00Since returning to office in January, U.S. President Donald Trump has been fulfilling his campaign promise to get tough on immigration.
00:08But the tactics he's using are proving highly controversial at home, with masked agents arresting people in the streets and detainees getting lost in the system.
00:18Now that outrage is being shared abroad as Washington starts to deport criminal migrants to third countries.
00:25Earlier this week, five men, described by U.S. officials as depraved monsters, arrived in Eswatini.
00:33Now critics are lashing out, saying their country is being treated as a dumping ground, even as the tiny southern African nation is already beset by poverty and crime.
00:45Details of the deal under which the deportees arrived haven't been released.
00:49With a coalition of Swazi civil rights groups, accused the government of trading the nation's sovereignty and dignity for political expediency.
00:59Other African nations, including Nigeria, say they're coming under pressure from Washington to also accept deportees.
01:06And with the U.S. shaking up its tariff and visa rules, not everyone will be able to refuse.
