00:00Unless you've been living under a rock the last couple of weeks, you already know about AI being
00:07used for price adjustments. Early last year, Wendy's announced that they were going to use
00:12AI to adjust prices on the fly for their menus in key locations, test locations, however you want
00:21to refer to it. They backed off of that fairly quickly due to public backlash. But this year,
00:282025, we have a new entry in the AI knows the best price for each customer, and that is Delta
00:36Airlines, who have apparently announced that they are increasing their AI pricing model usage,
00:46I should say, from 3% to 20% by the end of 2025. Now, that's one-fifth of their ticket sales.
00:56Now, according to Fortune.com, there are apparently, supposedly, though no one wants to go into
01:06detail about exactly what, there are apparently safeguards into protecting fares and people
01:16using the airline from predatory pricing. There's already laws in place that they can't change
01:22prices based on ethnicity, sex, zip code, things like that. So, what a lot of these companies do is
01:31they use, like, what browser you're using. They use public, like, when you have cookies available
01:39and stuff, they use whatever information they can to decide what your price is going to be.
01:45That's why, that's why when you go to, like, it's been proven in the past, many videos on YouTube,
01:50search it up, where people that pay a different price with DoorDash or Uber Eats or any kind of
01:55service like that, based on if they're ordering on an iPhone or if they're ordering on an Android
02:01device. Now, I mean, travel companies do the same damn thing. I mean, it's no different. But Delta is
02:09coming out and just flat out saying they're going to use AI to make these decisions. Well, what
02:14information will Delta's AI be using to make these decisions? They're not telling anybody. So, this is
02:22for editorial purposes, only entertainment purposes, whatever you want to call it. I feel that they,
02:29I think that Delta's AI is going to be using publicly available information. Your Facebook,
02:36the cookies on your computer, purchasing, you know, data information from, you know, various
02:44data brokers. How many people have read the privacy policy of a website before they actually
02:49click allow all cookies? Just because they want to read an article. Hey, good job. Now your data is
02:56probably going to be, you know, sucked up into a data, data broker and then sold to a company like
03:00Delta. I have no proof that they're doing this. So there's your disclaimer. I can't prove it.
03:06But, I mean, other companies do it this way. So I'm not really sure what would change
03:11here. Now, some potential problems like over on Instagram, the Lee Shea Slay, I believe
03:25is how you pronounce her name, posted on the Black Millionaires Instagram stating based on
03:33what data. And, you know, good point. And could be karma replied with all of your personal
03:42information, your bank account, where you live, went to school, personal information is online.
03:47And they're right. It is. How many people have a private Facebook? Even if you have a private
03:54Facebook, that doesn't mean Facebook meta themselves are not selling your,
03:59your, the most basic information to data brokers. And that information ends up in big data files
04:08that get purchased for marketing. And it's, it's scary. It is, it is scary. And it's just going
04:20to get worse. And for people that are saying, oh, you can't, uh, like search Facebook, that
04:33is a walled in garden. It's actually starting to open up to data searches via search engines.
04:40Now, if they can, if I can type in, if I can type in your legal name, which you have to provide to
04:47the airlines and your Facebook account pops up, then it's not a walled in garden no more. I'm
04:54sorry. Your information is available and potentially going to be used by various AIs to decide what
05:00you're going to pay for a plane ticket. Now, the question is, is how many people are out there
05:05living these fake lives, you know, living the life on social media and everything?
05:10How is this going to affect them? Like the, you know, the, the travel talkers or whatever,
05:17you know, that always brag, oh, I go on 20 trips a month, you know, blah, blah, blah.
05:23Well, they'd be paying much more for their plane ticket versus somebody that is almost impossible
05:28to find online who has an AI has very little information on. Would that person pay a lot less?
05:35We don't know yet, but potentially, yes.
