00:09Just a week after the pop star reportedly agreed to pay his former manager $31.5 million for show cancellations and unpaid commissions,

00:19Scooter reflects on how he and the Grammy winner parted ways professionally on the July 17th episode of the Question Everything podcast.

00:27My life went a certain direction where I was done managing and I wanted something else for my life,

00:34and I think his life went a certain direction where he was ready to really control his own destiny.

00:39And I think both are appropriate, and I respect completely that he is his own man now

00:48and that he wants to build his career moving forward the way he sees fit, and he should.

00:53The former record executive then hints at hopes his and Justin's paths will cross again in the future.

01:01You know, and real relationships, you know, it's just you're in a different chapter,

01:07you're each at a different point in your life, and sometimes it comes together.

01:09It's like a good friend, you know what I mean?

01:11Like, sometimes you could be, ah, other times you could be like, oh, I haven't talked to you in years.

01:15You pick it up like that.

01:16You know, it's just, I don't think, I think the only thing that's definitively ending is a lifetime.

01:22You know, so the rest of it is, you never know.

01:25With Scooter revealing that despite whatever has happened, he will always be a believer.
