00:00Hi boys and girls, my name is Lars Ulrich, and I play drums in Metallica, right? Something
00:28like that. This is Fleming, right? And he is, what are you? You're the technical advisor? I'm the
00:36technical advisor. The technical advisor. Fleming, the technical advisor. Now, Fleming
00:42and me have one thing in common, is that we're both Danish, so we're going to do the rest
00:47of this thing in Danish now, because it's easier for us. So, tell me a little bit about
00:52this one. What do you think? I think it looks really good. It looks really good.
00:59Super cool. And so right now there should be subtitles running under this thing right here.
01:05Since there are only 5 million Danish people and about 6 billion non-Danish people on this
01:12planet, who are all very interested in what we have to say, we're going to continue this
01:16in English now. This right here is a Tama snare drum. And this is, what's the official name
01:24it's the Lars Ulrich Signature Series. And we can prove that. Whoa! We can prove that,
01:31but right there. Whoa! How special is that? The Lars Ulrich Signature. Can I get one of these?
01:38You have about 12 of them. I have 12 of them? I can get you another one if you want.
01:42What, will you sign it? Yeah. Alright, cool. So this is basically the snare drum. It's really
01:48that simple. I don't actually think that there are any other snare drums manufactured anywhere else
01:53in the world. This is the only snare drum that really matters. And the main reason is that
01:59this is basically the loudest snare drum you'll ever run into. When I hit this, it's basically
02:06so loud that I can't hear anything and have not been able to hear for the last decade, which
02:12coincidentally is about as long as I've been playing the snare drum. Right? That's right.
02:17Just look how cool it is. The other thing, it's really heavy. So not only is it like
02:23heavy, but it's loud, so it's the perfect snare drum to play loud, heavy.
02:29It's a really good live snare drum because it is so loud. It's a very good live snare drum.
02:35Actually, this is so loud you don't even need a mic for it. That's how loud it is. That's really...
02:40See that mic up there? You'll break the mic. You don't need any mics.
02:44Actually, the mics that are over on that drum kit on the snare drum, they're just for show. You don't actually need mics.
02:50Seriously, that's how cool it is. This thing is really heavy, really loud, and you know what else?
02:56Also, it looks really cool.
03:26The mic is amazing.
03:29I don't know how cool it is.
03:30I don't know how cool it is.
03:32Diamond plate.
03:32Diamond plate.
03:34It's actually it's it's two ply...
03:37Not one ply, not three ply. Two ply. Diamond plate. Very, very special. Just for you. Right?
03:46Just for you.
03:47You're the technical environment, so what else can you share?
03:49It's very consistent from room to room when you do it live and it's very easy to tune up and there you go.
04:00What else? It sounds good too, but we already covered that.
04:10We said that already. It's loud. But now we said it twice.
04:14We can check here on our little, let's see, three to five minutes. We must be pretty close to that, right?
04:22Six and a half by 14 diamond plated steel snare drum. We've covered that.
04:26How does this snare compare to other snares? It's louder and cooler looking.
04:31How would you describe the sound? It's loud and it sounds great.
04:44How long have we used this snare for a long time? North of ten years, right? Ten?
04:51A decade. A decade? A decade is right.
04:54Not ten years, a decade. Okay. Could we get any video of Lars playing the snare drum? Now you're pushing it.
05:01I would check YouTube and you'll see. Yeah, go on YouTube and right now you could run a link under.
05:09All right? If you, here, we'll give you a little treat.
05:13All right. Say where you are.
05:19Because it's so, it's so cool over there. See? There's a drum stick. Okay, check this out.
05:26Who's going to sit there and who?
05:28Oh, that helps. Okay, you ready? Check this out, okay? We're going to do this one time. Okay? You ready? Check this out.
05:41I got an idea. Let's do that again. That was a rim shot.
05:44Well, that was a rim shot. That was a very special rim shot just for you. Ready?
05:48Whoa! F**k! And that's within you. That's loud. That, I mean, God, my ears are going to be ringing for hours. Seriously.
05:57God, that was a special rim shot.
06:01God! F**k damn, that's cool! God, I... Can we get a few more of them? We only have 12.
06:08Let's have a real hit. A real hit?
06:11Whoa! That's all we can have. F**k damn!
06:16Have you ever heard anything that sounds that metal? Seriously? I mean, that's unbelievable.
06:23I would pretty much drop what you're doing and run out and get at least one, two.
06:28Two. One for alternate days, right? One for each for alternate days.
06:32We'll try one more time. Don't try this at home, kids. It may piss the neighbors off.
06:40I'm Lars. That's Fleming. We're going to sign off now because we don't want to take up any more of your precious time with this crap.
06:48But, Tama, diamond plate steel scare all the way, baby. F**k yeah.
06:56And thanks for making it.
06:59Bye.
07:18Bye.
