00:00Welcome to Fear the Reaper.
00:07As the killer, your job is to seek, chase, and kill residents.
00:12At the start of the match, you have unlimited time to hunt.
00:15The residents will be trying to call the police.
00:18Once they make the call, a timer will appear.
00:21Terrorize and kill as many as you can before the police arrive.
00:25If they fail to make the call within a certain time limit,
00:27the location of the payphone will appear on the map for everyone, including you.
00:32Once the police arrive, hunt down the remaining residents
00:35and prevent them from reaching a police unit.
00:38When not chasing anyone, the Reaper is in stealth mode.
00:42He has the ability to vanish as long as no resident is looking.
00:46When in vanished form, his default speed is considerably faster.
00:50Hold the sprint key to go even faster.
00:53Use this as your main method of traversing the map and searching for prey.
00:56To appear again, ensure that no resident is within a five meter radius
01:00and that no one is looking.
01:02When vanished, you cannot see residents who are crouched.
01:05To attempt a kill, approach a resident and press the grab button.
01:11Your victim will have to successfully hit a quick time event to survive.
01:15If they're on their last grab state, they will die automatically.
01:19Approaching a locked door in stealth mode will present the option to sneak in.
01:23Press the indicated key when the expanding and contracting circle is smaller than the static one to make progress.
01:29Failure still grants progress.
01:31It makes noise and risks alerting nearby residents.
01:34You have no footsteps when walking in stealth mode.
01:37Use this mode to your advantage.
01:39Try to stalk and sneak up on the resident.
01:41Set up an ambush and attempt a kill.
01:44For the first two minutes, the Reaper has no tracking abilities.
01:49Patrol the streets, peek through windows, and try to find a resident early.
01:53If any of them set off an alarm or lock picking a door, an orange X will appear and linger on their location for a short period of time.
02:01A red X indicates that one of them entered your territory.
02:04Prioritize those as those foolish residents are insta-killable.
02:08Once your tracking is ready, you have a few more tools at your disposal.
02:13The Reaper can attempt to detect sprinting residents.
02:16Use the ability and any currently sprinting resident will leave a footprint mark.
02:20Approach it and an arrow will show you which direction they were running when detected.
02:25This ability is on a short cooldown, so use it often.
02:28When in range of a resident, an icon will appear on the screen, indicating that someone is nearby.
02:37The radius is fairly wide, so use your speed to quickly narrow down where they might be hiding.
02:42A resident is briefly immune to all of your tracking if using anti-anxiety pills.
02:47Locking eyes with an uncrouched resident initiates chase, and the Reaper enters chase mode.
02:53Your footsteps are now loud, and initially, you're forbidden from vanishing.
02:58Your movement speed is slower than that of a sprinting resident.
03:01As time progresses, you become faster, and your rage buildup increases, indicated on the lower left.
03:08Your job is to keep up and make sure you don't lose them.
03:11They will attempt to hide and utilize houses to shake you off.
03:14Do not let that happen.
03:16In chase mode, you can no longer sneak in.
03:19Instead, doors break down if hit three times.
03:22Each house has only two exits.
03:24Use mind games to ensure that they don't sneak away unnoticed.
03:28Use windows to keep track of them.
03:30Glancing at a resident, even briefly, keeps the chase going, which in turn, builds up your rage.
03:37Once in rage, you can break doors with one hit.
03:40Most importantly, you can once again vanish.
03:43And unlike in stealth mode, you can grab residents without the need to appear.
03:47Once you successfully grab, your rage buildup resets.
03:51Each killer has a unique ability.
03:54The reaper can perform a closet ambush.
03:56When prompted, press the ability key.
03:59You will teleport to a closet a resident has recently looked at.
04:02Burst out and go for the kill.
04:04Or vanish and prepare an ambush.
04:06One of the residents will have the final girl or the final dude role.
04:11Their death makes the game more difficult for the residents.
04:14If you manage to deduce who it is, taking them out could prove beneficial.
04:18Hunt, chase, kill, terrorize, and have fun.
