00:00Today marks nine months since Liam has left this world
00:03and I don't know if this is just a message for myself
00:07or for Liam or for anybody that's navigating through grief
00:12that needs to hear this.
00:13Sometimes I'm bad at putting things into words
00:14but I just want to speak
00:15and I had this long train of thought yesterday.
00:20Yesterday I cut my hair, I got new tattoos,
00:23I got my ears pierced
00:24and for some people they might look at these as minor things
00:29but for me these are big changes
00:31and then I start to think
00:34Liam's never seen me with hair this short.
00:36Liam has never seen me with all of these tattoos.
00:39I just started to think deeper into it
00:41and my first thought was
00:42I don't know how heaven works
00:45but is Liam going to look the same way
00:48that he looked since the last time I saw him,
00:52since the last day that I saw him?
00:54Is he still going to be that beautiful, youthful human
00:58that he was and that he is?
01:00And then I started to look at older photos this morning,
01:03photos of me and Liam
01:04and I just started thinking to myself,
01:09wow, I look so different
01:12and it's not just the hair,
01:14it's not just the tattoos,
01:15like I just, there was something about me
01:17that looks so different
01:18than what I looked like nine months ago.
01:21Then I started thinking further ahead
01:22and I just started to think about
01:25if I do, if I am blessed to live
01:28a healthy, long, beautiful life,
01:31when my time comes,
01:34will Liam recognize me?
01:36Like I'm going to be old,
01:38I'm going to have wrinkles,
01:39I'm going to have white hair, bony hands.
01:41How will Liam find me?
01:42How will he recognize me?
01:44And I just got really emotional
01:46and I was with my friend
01:47and my friend said,
01:49Kate, of course he's going to recognize you.
01:52Sorry if I'm shaking.
01:54Of course he's going to recognize you.
01:56He's going to recognize you
01:58no matter what you look like.
02:00It doesn't matter how old you are,
02:02he's going to recognize you
02:03and you know what he's going to say to you?
02:04He's going to come up to you
02:05and he's going to look at you
02:06and he's going to say to you,
02:08he's so glad you look the way you look.
02:11He's so glad that you were lucky enough
02:13to age and have these wrinkles
02:17and have the white hair
02:18and have the evidence of living these years
02:22without him by your side.
02:24He is going to be happy that you lived
02:26and lived fully and lived a life
02:30and he's going to want to sit there
02:32and hear all about it.
02:33and it just really reminded me
02:38to stay strong
02:40and to carry on
02:44and live my life to the fullest
02:48for what I can right now,
02:50not only for myself,
02:52but for him.
02:53so here's to another day
02:57of living life
02:59without the person that I love.

03:05and I love you so much.
