00:06ai-171 crash probe that continues to intensify and now we bring to you a big development in this
00:13very crash probe that continues the air india has found no issues with the fuel lock switch remember
00:20there was a report that had been released only on saturday the preliminary report of the very probe
00:27that continues and the fuel lock switch there was a conversation that had taken place between the
00:32file pilots which had highlighted the malfunctioning of the fuel lock switch now air india has come out
00:38to say that there are no issues in the b787 fuel switch lock mechanism the b787s underwent throttle
00:46control module replacement the ai air india that has finds no issues with locking mechanisms of fuel
00:53control switch in the b787 planes official air india on wednesday completed the inspection of the
00:59locking mechanism of fuel control switches in its boeing 787 planes and did not find any issues
01:06according to an airline official now on monday aviation watchdog dgca directed airlines to inspect
01:13the fuel switch locking system in the boeing 787 and 737 planes against the very backdrop of the
01:20aaaiv's preliminary report stating that the fuel switches were cut off before the air india plane
01:26crash that killed 260 people last month these are the latest details that we have viewers for you
01:35on the very probe that continues with that amit bhadwa joining us on the broadcast to bring us more
01:40details on this amit you've been keeping a very close watch on how the probe has been developing help us
01:46understand previously when this report had came come out we'd seen it was the fuel lock switch that
01:54the mechanism of it that we were looking at now we are given to understand that air india has said
01:58that there's nothing locked with and wrong with these lock switches uh well sir we have to look at
02:04into the context that on the day when the aaib report uh came out and uh it was very clear that the
02:11focus of the investigation of the ai-171 crash uh was fixed on fuel control switches or the fuel cutoff
02:19switches of uh the boeing greenliner that crashed in ahmedabad on june 12th uh so immediately air india
02:27or rather air india uh group which is air india and the uh you know air india express uh went on to
02:34conduct uh inspection office uh fuel control switches or the fcs uh for the boeing dreamliner
02:42787 which is with air india and a boeing 737 which is with air india express and uh we were being told
02:51that uh so far there have been no uh you know trouble or uh snacks that have been found out in the
02:58inspections that were going on but on july 14 the dgc formally issued an order to all the operators uh
03:07in india you know whose crafts are registered boeing crafts are registered in india uh to go ahead with
03:14fcs inspections and report to the agency if any uh compliance violation is found or any uh technical
03:22snag is found with the uh fcs uh but now air india in the communication that yes it has sent to its
03:31pilots uh yesterday so remember all that we are breaking at this point in time is the communication
03:37communication by air india uh flight operations to its all pilots who are flying a boeing 787 and
03:47uh it has been told to the air india pilots that the inspection of the fcs that is the uh fuel control
03:55switches is complete uh as far as 787 uh fleet is concerned no technical snack has been found right
04:04entire inspection as well as the right we do understand what uh has been said by air india thank
04:12you for bringing us those details but right now viewers we have some more information
04:17when we speak of the very tragic the devastating crash that had taken place on june 12th we'll bring
04:22you more details as we are now moving on to our next breaking news into the same story
04:35now what we are given to understand is that the federation of indian pilots this is the fip has now
04:41come out to express concerns regarding the preliminary findings and public discourse surrounding the
04:47tragic crash of air india flight ai 171 in amtabad this said and i quote at the outset we would like to
04:55register our dissatisfaction with the exclusion of pilot representatives from the investigation process
05:02assigning blame before a thorough transparent and data-driven investigation is both premature
05:08and irresponsible remember viewers it's not the first time that the pilots association has come
05:12out to say how they are dissatisfied with how this very probe has been proceeding because there seems
05:20to be no pilot representatives involved remember we lost both pilots in this very crash that had taken
05:28place there was a conversation that was also highlighted in the first report that had come in from the
05:34the aaib which was surrounding the very fuel lock switch that we just brought you more information
05:40about and now this is what we are bringing to you nagarjan dwarkana joins us on the broadcast to bring us
05:45more details nagarjan a very good morning to you let us understand the pilots have been discontent they
05:51have been dissatisfied and this is not the first time they have expressed this this is the second time they've
05:57come out to make a statement like this where they want pilot representatives in the probe as well to give their
06:04narrative to share their account of what may have gone down between the two pilots
06:10good morning sure that's absolutely true in fact this is the second such pilot association who have
06:15come down heavily on the investigative report and media also for the interpretation and half-bick report
06:21the federation of indian pilots have released a statement and they said that they register their
06:25dissatisfaction firstly for exclusion of pilot representatives from the investigative process
06:31they feel that the aib had to have some private pilots also involved in the investigation to take
06:36their opinion and expert comments and they also have put in uh in the statement that uh the data and uh
06:43and uh the lacks rely to selectively paraphrase cockpit voice recording to suggest pilot error and
06:49question the professional competence and the integrity of the flight crew uh because we saw the
06:55preliminary report which spoke about how one pilot speaks to another pilot
06:58why did he do that in terms of cutting of the fuel switches they say that it's not comprehensive and
07:03lacks uh data and just based on few recordings from the cockpit it is interpreted by media and by experts
07:10as well and hence they question the report as to why they're given only half big data and not full data
07:16and it has to be transparent and it's premature to give such information is what the pilot association
07:22at bed now premature to release information of the sort that has been so far in the probe that is
07:28what we are picking up and yes the pilot is satisfaction at the same time now growing
07:32as the probe continues with that viewers that's all we have for you in terms of the probe that
07:37we have been keeping a close watch on we will keep bringing you all the latest updates on the story as
07:41and when we come now shifting our focus down south this is the big ranya rao case that we'd also been
07:56tracking sandalwood actress ranya rao sentenced to one year jail in the gold smuggling case in a major
08:03development sandalwood actress ranya rao has been sentenced to one year jail in connection with the
08:08gold smuggling case as per the directive that's been issued all three accused have been denied
08:13the right to apply for bail during this one year period of imprisonment this is what we have for you
08:20at this point in terms of where the investigation stands and sagay ra joins us on the broadcast to
08:26bring us more details sagay very good morning to you we've seen a lot that had been exposed that
08:30had come to the forefront and now it all seems to have culminated into this very sentence being
08:35issued against ranya rao and the other two involved hello sagay can you hear me yes i can hear you yes
08:45i was just saying that there is a lot that's happened into this case a lot that's been exposed
08:50via this entire case and now it seems that it is all culminated to this very
08:56term that has been issued to not just ranya but also the other two accused
08:59absolutely now what we get to learn is that uh uh the sandalwood actor ranya ra who had involved in
09:07gold smuggling will be uh sentenced for one year in jail where she cannot apply for any kind of
09:13bail play and if you notice that this particular case was registered under coposa and uh now the
09:19advisory board have passed an order which uh which will be having a meeting uh every three months in a
09:25year for so for next one year she cannot get a bail and she had to stay back inside the prison along
09:33with him there are two more accused who have been arrested in this particular case all three case
09:38accused have been booked in the cafe posa and everybody should be behind bars right sagay absolutely
09:45just viewers for your information this is the cold smuggling case that we're speaking of wherein in the
09:49bangalore kem pagoda international airport she was caught with 14.2 kgs of gold worth over rupees 14
09:55crores that was smuggled in from dubai and now we see this is the term that has been given to her
10:03with that now we are shifting our focus to the poor bound state of bihar where the battleground has
10:10only been heating up with each passing day now opposition parties continue to slam the election commission
10:17over its special intensive revision of electoral rolls congress leader rahul gandhi has doubled down
10:23on his attacks while west bengal chief minister mamata manajee is the latest to join the escalating
10:28war of words remember rahul gandhi the leader of opposition in the lower house of the parliament
10:33has accused the election commission of scrapping lacks of names from bihar's voter list and deliberately
10:39removing the names of the poor the farmers and congress supporters meanwhile west bengal chief
10:44minister mamata banerji has alleged that the bjp has plans to remove names from bengal's voter list
10:49as well mamata has warned that her party will oppose the electoral roll revision
10:54tooth and nail if it is carried out in bengal the bjp has hit back saying that west bengal
10:59chief minister is trying to protect the rohingya muslims in the state remember the bjp has also
11:04repeatedly backed the voter list revision asking the opposition parties to work hard to get votes
11:09instead of raising a hue and cry over the exercise now as the poll role revision row continues
11:14chief election commissioner gyanesh kumar has thanked all the eligible electors of bihar for
11:19participating in the much-needed cleaning of the electoral rolls which has been an extensive exercise

15:16had gone down and that they are continuing with the investigation and the NIA is still
15:21looking into the matter.
15:22But with that, viewers, now we are shifting our focus to some more information and news
15:25that we are getting and bringing up for you.
15:27Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused Assam chief minister Himanta Biswasalma of corruption
15:33and threatened to send him to jail soon.
15:36The Lok Sabha LOP has said that his party will overthrow the PJP-led government in Assam
15:40in the coming assembly election next year and that Congress, Babbar Shares, will then
15:46send Chief Minister Himanta to prison for corruption.
15:49Now, Rahul added that the Assam chief minister is behaving like a king but will not be in power
15:54for long.
15:55Himanta Biswasalma has also hit back saying Rahul is conveniently forgetting that he himself
16:00is out on bail in multiple criminal cases registered across the country.
16:04He has added that the Congress leader has elevated his political stature with his criticism
16:09as it is a clear sign that he must be doing something right for the people of Assam.
16:14This is the war of words that continues between the two leaders.
16:17Let's listen in to what each had to say.
16:19Because they know that one day Congress will put in jail and put in jail.
16:29I don't speak without thinking.

16:56Moving back down south, Tamil Nadu is the next state of focus.
17:02Political temperatures are rising in Tamil Nadu ahead of the polls that is to take place next year.
17:08Now with speculations over the terms of the BJP and the AIADMK alliance in the state.
17:13AIADMK Chief Arapadi K. Palanaswamy has said that there will be no power sharing of any sorts.
17:20Not just that.
17:21He has also said that the AIADMK will form the government in the state and that he will be the chief minister itself.
17:27EPS has also clarified over home ministers remarks that there would be a coalition government in the state if the NDA wins the 2026 polls.
17:35He said that it is not going to be an alliance government but that the alliance will form the government with him leading the alliance
17:41and deciding on power sharing two very different scenarios.
17:45Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu chief minister has taunted EPS saying that the voters of the state will say goodbye forever to the opposition leader
17:52forever after the polls.
17:54Now this after Arapadi Palanaswamy hit out at the chief minister with the bye-bye Stalin chants.
18:00This is the latest that we are bringing to you from the state of Tamil Nadu.
18:03Let's quickly take a look at some of the reactions that's coming.

18:15Ajan.

18:23No, I'm not saying goodbye.
18:24I'll not be able to try you.
18:25I know I live in a way.
18:27If you do this, if you say they want to increase and increase,
18:30if you say it, if you do this,
18:32if you want to increase and increase,
18:33then we know how to gain.
18:35We now know how to gain much of this time.
18:38They can gain income from this country.
18:41They are not paying.
18:43So we can gain income from this country.
18:45We need it.
18:46It is for a while.
18:47I'm going to talk to you about the 3rd match.
18:50Sir, I'm going to talk to you about the 3rd match.

19:41I'm going to talk to you about the 3rd match.
19:46I'm going to talk to you about the 3rd match.
20:05With that, viewers, we are now slipping into a short break.
20:08But do stay tuned to India today as we come back with our next story on the other side.
20:13After powerful Israeli strikes on Damascus, Syria withdraws troops from the Suwada city.
20:20This and more lined up for you on the other side.
20:23The 3rd match is the 2rd match.
20:37Just invest them to us.
20:40And the regular income also comes.
20:42So then put it in the fixed income mutual funds.
20:45Fixed income mutual funds, in addition to interest bearing, company bond, government bond, and money market.
20:50We put money in the market, and for the systematic withdrawal plan, you will get fixed amount on the dot.
20:56Mutual funds are fixed income?
20:59That's right.
21:20But still, I hate advice.
21:29I hate advice.
21:33I hate advice.
21:51Welcome back, viewers.
21:53You're watching India Today.
21:54And at the very top of this segment, we bring to you a story from West Asia yet again.
21:59The IDF has confirmed that Israeli airstrikes are ongoing against the Syrian government forces in the Sweden region,
22:07releasing new footage of the operations.
22:10In the recent hours, the Air Force targeted armored vehicles and pickup trucks equipped with machine guns
22:16en route to the Druze-majority city of Sreda, where intense clashes have now erupted.
22:22Additional strikes were also carried out against Syrian military positions,
22:26weapon depots, and various other targets across southern Syria, according to the IDF.
22:31This is what we are learning at this given point, and Pranay Upadhyay joins us on the broadcast to bring us more details.
22:36Pranay, a very good morning to you.
22:38Disturbing developments that we are picking up from Syria at this given point,
22:43and the IDF has only gone ahead to confirm further attacks that are still currently underway.
22:48Good morning, Shreya.
22:50And you are absolutely right.
22:52Actually, the recent action by Israel on the Syrian areas in the Syrian region,
22:57especially the Soweto region and even the Damascus, which is the capital of Syria,
23:01clearly shows that the peace in West Asia is nothing near,
23:06and it has actually started the peace and especially the ceasefire,
23:13which was achieved in Syria post the regime change of December 2024,
23:20when Bashar al-Assad was removed and the HDS came to power,
23:25which was supported by the Western bloc, but also by the Israel.
23:29But clearly, this shows the ethnic differences,
23:33and because you know that the Soweto region, which has a large number of Druze population,
23:39Druze are considered as friends of Israel, and many Druze are there in Israel as well,
23:44and they are serving individual ranks of the Israeli armed forces,
23:48Israeli defense forces, and Israeli police as well.
23:51So that's why Israel is taking this action.
23:54This is basically to do with the ethnic clashes between Druze people
23:59and the Bedou tribal population there in Soweto region,
24:04and the Syrian defense forces, the armed forces were moving to contain the situation.
24:10However, Israel did not want the deployment of Syrian defense forces,
24:16Syrian armed forces to be there,
24:18to be closer to the border of Israel and Syria.
24:22Right, Pranay.
24:23Thank you for bringing us all those details.
24:25Definitely one thing is for sure, and as you very rightly put it,
24:28peace and at this given point,
24:32any sort of negotiations within the West Asia seems far from impossible,
24:36simply because the escalations we continue to see
24:39between different regions, different nations,
24:42but yes, the tensions still continue to peak there.
24:48Now, Israel launched powerful airstrikes in Damascus on Wednesday.
24:55That's where it all began, blowing up part of the defense ministry
24:58and hitting near the presidential palace as it vowed to destroy government forces,
25:03attacking the minority Druze community in southern Syria,
25:06demanding withdrawal of the forces.
25:08Here is a news report.
25:09Let's take a look as to how things have developed.
25:12Plumes of smoke rose to the skies as an Israeli airstrike hit next to the presidential palace
25:23in Syria's capital, Damascus, on Wednesday.
25:27The airstrike target was the People's Palace,
25:31where transitional president of Syria, Ahmed al-Shara, resides.
25:38The Israeli Defense Forces released the video of its airstrike soon after,
25:42with a statement that they will continue to strike military targets
25:47belonging to the Syrian regime in Damascus.
25:50Earlier in the day, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu,
25:56clearly warned the Syrian regime with military strikes in support
26:00of the Druze community in southern Syria.
26:03My fellow Druze citizens of Israel, the situation in Sweda and the situation in southwestern Syria is very serious.
26:15The IDF is working, the Air Force is working and the other forces are also working.
26:19We are working to save our Druze brothers and to eliminate the gangs of the regime.
26:24I have a request to you.
26:25You are citizens of Israel.
26:26Don't cross the border.
26:28You are risking your lives.
26:29You can be killed.
26:30You can be kidnapped and you are harming the efforts of the IDF.
26:34I am asking you, return home.
26:36Let the IDF operate.
26:39Clashes raged in the southern Syrian city of Sweda
26:43after a cease-fire between government forces and Druze, armed groups collapsed.
26:49The latest escalation in Syria began with a tit-for-tat kidnapping
26:53and attacks between local Sunni, Bedouin tribes and Druze-armed factions in the southern province,
27:00a center of the Druze community.
27:06Many people from the Druze community live across the border in northern Israel.
27:12While people from across the Syrian border tried to cross over to Israel,
27:17Druze people living in Israel gathered in a show of support near the border.
27:24In Israel, the Druze are seen as a loyal minority and often serve in the military.
27:30More than half of the roughly one million Druze worldwide live in Syria.
27:35In Syria, the Druze have been divided over how to deal with the country's new leaders.
27:41Some advocate for integration into the new system,
27:46while others have remained suspicious of the authorities in Damascus
27:50and pushed for an autonomous Druze region.
27:55Israel, since annexing Golan Heights, where most Druze people live, has stood in its support.
28:02For the third day in a row, they have struck Syria in support of the community
28:06and show no signs of backing down in the immediate future.
28:13Bureau Report, India Today.
28:18With that, viewers, we are now shifting our focus to the state of Odisha.
28:21Odisha Bandh over students' death.
28:24Odisha opposition hits the streets in protest.
28:27Railroco shops shut amid Odisha Bandh.
28:31Now Bandh is in Bhadrak, Bhubaneshwar, Sambalpur.
28:34These are the areas which will be witnessing this Bandh in place today.
28:40Remember, this Bandh has been called as a sign of protest against the Balasaur students' death
28:46that we have been covering over the last couple of days.
28:50Anirban Roy joins us from Bhubaneshwar at this given point.
28:53Anirban, a very good morning to you.
28:54What details are you picking up in terms of the Bandh that has been declared in Orisha?
28:59How are things looking so far this morning?
29:06Well, the Bandh has already started in Odisha.
29:09And we can see here, this is the Bhubaneshwar town.
29:13This is the main town where right now it is 8, 5 a.m. in the morning.
29:19But not a single shop is open.
29:22And already you can see my camera person, Orgo, is showing you that the Congress is on the streets.
29:29The Odisha Pradesh Congress as well as with the left front.
29:34And they are participating in Bandh, they are on the streets to make it successful.
29:41As you can see, there is no signs of vehicle, no signs of any kind of shops open.
29:50So right now they have taken this so seriously.
29:54The opposition has taken this so seriously.
29:57As BJD, Biju Jantadal has already protested in front of the Vidhan Chaba yesterday.
30:03And also in front of the Secretariat yesterday.
30:06And right now the Congress with the 8 coalition opposition parties of Orisha are all participated in the Bandh.
30:16And they said that today they will not allow any office, any shop to be open.
30:23As the government has to ensure that the safety and security of the women.
30:30As we can see that several women are on the streets, taking the streets.
30:35And they are demanding safety and security from the government as well.
30:39As yesterday also Biju Jantadal has said the same thing.
30:43And today also the Congress supporters and the Congress workers are on the streets to make the Bandh successful.
30:53Shreya.
30:54Right Anirban, thank you for bringing us all those details.
30:56Yes, the uproar continues in Orisha viewers.
30:59And as we speak of this very incident viewers, let's also take you through the details and what has happened so far into this very case.
31:0820 year old Balasor student died after setting herself on fire.
31:12She alleged harassment by her head of the department Samir Sahu and inaction by college authorities despite flagging it.
31:20Now protests have erupted across Orisha as her father fights for justice.
31:24Will the system finally listen?
31:26Take a look at this report.
31:28The 20 year old student of Fakir Mohan University got absolutely no support in the weeks that followed her complaint about sexual harassment by a professor.
31:42Her death has galvanized politicians, activists, students across Orisha, triggering angry protest.
31:56Making one wonder, why was this outrage missing when she first sought justice?
32:09On June 20th, the victim filed her first complaint to Principal Dili Ghosh.
32:14Alleging that the head of department Samir Sahu was harassing her and seeking sexual favors.
32:24Shockingly, this complaint was filed in the presence of the accused.
32:28Days later, she submitted a second complaint to the principal.
32:32This too was ignored.
32:34On June 30th, she sent a third reminder.
32:37This too got no response.
32:40On July 1st, the desperate victim approached the college's internal complaints committee with her grievance.
32:46She also posted it online, tagging government officials and even reaching out to Chief Minister Mohan Manji,
32:53Union Education Minister, State Education Minister and other higher officials.
33:02By July 12th, betrayed and hopeless, she gave up the fight, taking the extreme step of self-immolation.
33:10Two days later, after suffering 96% burn, injuries, she was declared dead.
33:20His daughter taken from him too soon.
33:22The father is shattered.
33:24The father is shattered.
33:25I've spoken to him and went through for 300 seconds.
33:26Of course, these forces literally harassing me against them.
33:27INSUUS het
33:30I have to go to the hospital.
33:32There is nothing here.
33:34There is a good person in the hospital room.
33:39After 20-25 minutes, he comes to the hospital room.
33:46Why? There is nothing here.
33:48The Lord knew that I was not here.
33:50I was not here.
33:52Later, I would like to show a video and see what I knew.
33:58I was not here.
34:00I was not here.
34:02I was not here.
34:04I was not here.
34:06I am here.
34:08I am here.
34:10Why?
34:16On Wednesday, the streets of Odisha erupted in anger.
34:21The principal opposition party, BJD, called a balasaur band.
34:28The Congress has called a statewide band on Thursday.
34:34The ruling BJP has urged rivals not to politicize the incident.
34:40It is a great deal.
34:50It is not a very profitable issue.
34:52The government has set a lot of activity.
34:54the government has done a lot of work in the government.
34:58But the politics of the government,
35:01this is a very difficult thing to do.
35:03Now, there is no resistance until the affair.
35:06What is the rule of law?
35:08So, they don't have to wear this police burden.
35:11They have to dismiss them.
35:13They have not done anything yet.
35:16The education minister told me that
35:19the government is running away.
35:21They have to dismiss them from Turat Mantri Mandal.
35:24That, in a way, sums up the story of crimes against women in India.
35:33Political parties take a stand depending on where the crime happened.
35:37In a state ruled by them or their rivals.
35:43The call for justice rings louder than ever before.
35:47But is anyone listening?
35:49With Anir Banroy, Bureau Report, India Today.
36:04We are now moving on to our next breaking news
36:06that we are getting from Jammu and Kashmir.
36:09Junior doctors at the Government Medical College in Jammu go on a strike
36:13after a female doctor was assaulted by attendant of a patient.
36:18Now, medical college authorities have asked for Calty members
36:21and consultants to manage emergency services at the hospital.
36:25Junior doctors demand the arrest of patient's attendant who kicked a female doctor.
36:31Shocking footage from the GMC Jammu where attendants of a deceased patient assault lady doctors
36:37blaming them of negligence.
36:39You can see it on the video on your screens at this point.
36:41The CCTV footage from the emergency ward shows the very disturbing sequence of events
36:46which unfolded where initially it's a heated argument that's witnessed between the hospital staff
36:51and the agitated attendants.
36:53However, soon that takes an uglier turn as one of the attendants
36:57and ends up kicking the lady doctor in the abdomen for the scene.
37:01With that, Sunil Jammu joins us on the broadcast to bring us to the
37:30broadcast to bring us more details into this very incident that's taken place.
37:34Sunil Ji, a very good morning to you.
37:36First up, do help us understand what exactly has gone down.
37:40From the preliminary footage that we have accessed,
37:42we can understand that there was an altercation that took place
37:46between the deceased's family and the doctor.
37:48But more importantly, physical assault and in terms of blaming the doctor for the deceased's life,
37:55that is indeed worrisome.
37:59Shreya's shocking images have surfaced from the government medical college, Jammu.
38:05You know, there was a person who was admitted in the hospital.
38:08He was in critical condition. He died.
38:10And then the relatives of the deceased created a massive ruckus in the hospital
38:16and they blamed the doctors of negligence.
38:19And one of the female attendants of the patient, you know, then started, you know, shouting.
38:25And she even assaulted a female doctor.
38:28The doctor was kicked and punched.
38:30And this has created, you know, massive outrage across the region.
38:35And junior doctors are up in arms and they have gone on an indefinite strike.
38:40Although the police has registered an FIRE in this matter
38:43and the government medical college authorities have also taken cognizance of this matter.
38:48But the junior doctors are saying that the culprit should be arrested
38:52and until then they are not going to resume their duties.
38:55And that is why the authorities at government medical college, Jammu,
38:59have now asked the senior faculty members as well as the consultants
39:03to manage the emergency services in the hospital.
39:06But clearly you can see these shocking images that have, you know, been caught on the CCTV cameras.
39:12One of the attendants of the patient is taking, you know, a female doctor.
39:18And that is why the junior doctors are outraged.
39:21And they are saying that strict action should be taken against the culprit.
39:25And doctors can't be facing this kind of assault by the attendants.
39:31Doctors are also humans and this is something which should not be tolerated.
39:37Absolutely. And you know, you've raised a very important point here.
39:41Let's also try and understand the security situation that was in place in this very room where this incident took place.
39:47Were there enough or any security officers to in fact handle the situation?
39:53Because that puts a really important question in institutions like this which provide such important services to people out there.
40:00There is no protection for the doctors.
40:02There is no protection for the staff members who often end up being on the receiving end of such behaviour.
40:08Shriya, it seems like these have been witnessed in the past also in different hospitals in different parts of the country.
40:17And that is why doctors have been raising this demand that they should be given educator, you know, security in the hospital premises across the country.
40:26And this is not just, you know, this is not just an isolated incident, but these kind of incidents have also taken in the past in different cities across the country.
40:36And that is why doctors have been demanding time and again that there should be, you know, strict guidelines and there should be enough security personnel deployed in the hospital premises so that no one dares to, you know, create such a situation.
40:53And doctors should not be facing physical violence and doctors should not be assaulted and doctors are simply doing their service.
41:00And if there is any, you know, any complaint or something that can be, you know, done in a rightful way, legal way, but the physical assault is not something that should be tolerated.
41:11And that is why doctors have been raising this demand time and again that they should be given enough protection and security within the hospital premises.
41:20Very true, Sunimji. Thank you so much for bringing us all those details.
41:23Physical assault isn't the answer to situations like this is what we can understand.
41:27With that, viewers, that's all we have for you on that story at this point.
41:31With that, we are moving our focus now to the Election Commission Special Intensive Revision exercise.
41:38Opposition parties continue to slam the Election Commission of India over its Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roles.
41:45Congress leader Rahul Gandhi himself has now doubled down on his attacks while West Bengal Chief Minister from the other end, Mamata Banerjee, is the latest to join the escalating war of words.
41:55Now, Rahul Gandhi has accused the Election Commission of scrapping lakhs of names from Bihar's voter list and deliberately removing the names of the poor farmers and Congress supporters.
42:05Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has alleged that the BJP has planned to remove names from the Bengal's voter list as well.
42:12Mamata has warned that her party will be opposing the electoral roll revision tooth and nail if it is carried out in Bengal.
42:20BJP has hit back saying the West Bengal Chief Minister is only trying to protect Rohingya Muslims in the state.
42:25Remember, the BJP has repeatedly backed voter list revision asking opposition parties to work hard to get their votes instead of raising a hue and cry over this exercise.
42:34And as the poll roll revision row continues, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has thanked all the eligible electors in Bihar for participating in this much needed cleaning of the electoral rolls.
42:45Let's take a look at some of the reactions that have come into the story so far.
42:50You will know that in the Bihar has started the new voter list.
43:02What are your authority?
43:04The poor people, the poor people, the poor people, the people, the Congress party and the J.A.D. voters.
43:13and we are doing that in the city of Bihar,
43:20who are trying to do this in Bihar,
43:23they will try to do this in Assam.
43:27And we are all responsible for this work,
43:30that we will not do this work.
43:33I heard from Bihar,
43:35I heard about 30.5 lakhs.
43:38In any way,
43:40we are doing this work and,
43:41we are doing this work,
43:43we are doing this work,
43:45we are doing this work and,
43:48in Bihar,
43:49we are doing this work,
43:52we are still doing this work,
43:54we are planning to cook up in Bengal,
43:57and what we will do is keep doing this work.
44:01And do you give us this work?
44:03I am planning to start thinking about 24 years.
44:07Mamata Benerji government distributed fake birth certificate, Aadhar card and EPIC card.
44:17Mamata Benerji due to her PR psychosis, she is on the road today because she knows it
44:23very well after VR, if election commission will start random and thorough revision of
44:30the voter list. Approx one pro Rohingya Muslim name will be deleted from the voter list.
44:41Amit Bhardwad joins us on the broadcast to bring us more details. Amit, a very good morning
44:45to you. Very firstly, let's understand one thing. We have been witnessing the heated debate
44:50over the exercise that is currently continuing in Bihar and it is probably to also continue
44:56in other states as and when the requirement does arise. But what is important to understand
45:01is this exercise as said by the court is constitutionally not opposed. So please put it into context for
45:11us as to what exactly are the opposition parties trying to flag here because there are concerns
45:17that have been raised that there might be people with false or fake identity cards who are listed
45:23in these very voter lists. They shouldn't be allowed to vote.
45:28So yeah, you know, there are layers to it. When we go to the technical opposition, the criticism
45:36that the opposition parties have, they are saying that the local election commission of India
45:40is carrying out SIR when Bihar is a poll-bound state. And in less than six months, Bihar is expecting
45:49the assembly elections to happen. And at that point in time, what was the rush and need to go
45:55through SIR in the state of Bihar? That is the first question, the timing of SIR that is being
46:00conducted by the election commission of India. And India bloc has been constantly also talking
46:04about as to how three important documents, Russian card, Epic card and Aadhar card, which has been
46:12largely endorsed by the government itself, in particular the Aadhar card ever since its inception.
46:18So, election commission of India, among the documents that it was taking in the SIR exercise
46:23until the matter went to the Supreme Court, was not accepting these three documents, which made
46:31situation really critical for many of those who belong from the backward classes, economically weaker
46:40section. That's what the opposition parties are arguing. And they are saying that through this
46:44particular measure, the attempt is to eliminate the voters from the opposition parties, those who
46:50could be identified as RGD Congress voters. And similarly, Mohamed Abnerji has similar concerns.
46:56Back to you.
46:58Absolutely, Amit. We've been witnessing this debate now, in fact, roll out for quite some time.
47:03And we will keep a track of the story viewers as and when the updates come in. But for now,
47:07we are keeping the focus on Bihar. But we have more breaking news coming in from the very state.
47:11Let's take a look.
47:20Now, big poll, SOP by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish. Now, free electricity from August in Bihar is what
47:27we're getting to understand. Nitish announces free power up to 125 units. Free power up to 125 units is
47:34for domestic users. Now, the SOP to benefit total of 1 crore, 67 lakh families of Bihar. This is the
47:42news that we're bringing to you, the breaking news that we're bringing to you from the cold bound state
47:46of Bihar. Rohit Singh joins us on the broadcast to bring us more details. Rohit, a very good morning to
47:51you. It seems like the battleground is indeed heating up simply because now we see, I would say,
47:57a freebie being introduced from August onward by Nitish Kumar. The big guns seem to have been pulled
48:02out now.
48:03Well, yes, good morning, Shreya. And it seems to be a good morning for people of Bihar also. As early
48:12morning today, they have got some good news. And it's like a very populous measure that now Nitish Kumar
48:19has announced that free electricity will be provided up to 125 units from the month of August. And this is
48:27the first time we are seeing in Bihar that something is being given to the people of the
48:33state for free because it was being anticipated for a long time that maybe after Tejasvi Adav had
48:40announced that if he came to power, he will be providing 200 units free electricity to the people
48:46in the state. There was a possibility and there was anticipation that maybe Nitish Kumar government
48:51would also do something like this and announce something like this. And yet last week we saw that there
48:56was an announcement that was made about 100 units electricity free, but that in fact the
49:02government at that point of time denied that there was no such proposal. But today Nitish Kumar has now
49:08officially made it very clear that from the month of August, 125 units free electricity will be provided
49:14to almost one floor of 67,000.
49:17Rohit, I will interrupt you there. Mitenjay Tiwari, RJD spokesperson, joins us on the broadcast. In fact,
49:22we have to also given his party's reaction to this very move that's in fact brought in,
49:27been brought in by the Nitish Kumar government. Mitenjay Ji, thank you for speaking to us at India today.
49:33First of all, I would like to ask you about your party's reaction. This is a great
49:38decision on the election of just a few months before you. How do you react react to this?
49:43Yes.
49:44Yes.
49:45Yes.
49:46Yes.
49:47Yes.
49:48Yes.

49:58Yes, it is.
50:01Yes.
50:02Yes, yes.
50:03Yes, yes.
50:04Well, the fact that the Dipyas is the richtige of the Member, has spread from the local government,
50:05which has explained something in the world, which was the number of the people who have
50:09Thank you very much.
50:39Thank you very much.
51:09Thank you very much.
