00:00How would I summarize the story of Billy Tipton?
00:08He was a transmasculine jazz musician.
00:14Pretty simple.
00:16The first phrase that always comes to my mind is the gentleman's gentleman.
00:20You know, just the consummate professional and the gentleman's gentleman.
00:26The first time that I learned about Billy Tipton was probably 2003 or 2004.
00:36Just before I started my medical transition, I was doing a ton of research at that point.
00:42And so I wanted to learn about my ancestors, essentially, that came before me.
00:47In a way, Billy has been with me in sort of the background before my transition.
00:53And thinking about him again from the place of being a trans man was very interesting for me.
00:57Because I think I had held him, you know, in just a sort of general context of queerness prior to that.
01:03But in part 2, what family is very interesting.
01:04I have used to talk about him.
01:07What kind of stuff like this?
01:08Oh God!
01:09What kind of stuff like this?
01:10It's been a lot of stuff like a single group.
01:11But it was the most funny thing.
01:12But I really became just a hub of these people using things without you.
01:14So you can definitely have to figure out what I'm saying now.
01:15And if it's a good thing.
01:16I'm not sure about him.
01:17You're so happy.
01:18You're so happy about your child.
01:19I know.
01:20The way you can be, grow old with those things.
01:22And stuff like this.
01:23It's a good thing.
01:24It sounds like this.
01:25It's a good thing.
01:26It sounds like this.
01:27And I just didn't know.
01:28It's not just a good thing.
01:29I don't know.
