Pimpri-Chinchwad (Maharashtra), July 16 (ANI): Residents at the slums pockets of Kala Khadak area of Pimpri Chinchwad has heavily criticized the demolition drive of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) that happened Wednesday morning. One of the residents said that they were told a few hours before the demolition in order to vacate and that they have been asked to shift to a transit camp, which is about 10kms from there. Civic body, on the other hand, believes that the demolition drive was necessary as the slums were obstructing a crucial road expansion plan.
