00:18His name is PUNCHITO.

00:20He's the little fellow with the big ears.

00:22One big little chicken, she clucked.

00:25The little goose, he honked.

00:28And the little pig, he squealed.

00:34But when PUNCHITO tried to bray, out came nothing.

00:41He tried and he tried, but no hee-haw.

00:46And right away the little animals made up a song about him.

00:50PUNCHITO!

00:56He is a good little burrow, but he cannot bray.

01:01Cannot hee, cannot haunt.

01:04It is our fault.

01:07PUNCHITO!

01:09PUNCHITO!

01:13The coosers and geeses, the nephews and nieces all say.

01:19What a shame, such a shame.

01:22Too bad for the parents of PUNCHITO!

01:25PUNCHITO has ruined their name.

01:35Ay, poor PUNCHITO!

01:38His heart was so heavy like a stone.

01:41He was so ashamed, he ran away and climbed to the top of the highest mountain.

01:46And when he got there, what do you think he saw?

02:17I am a little burro, and I cannot pray.

02:23Do you mind if I cry with you? No?

02:26No, little burro. Let us cry together.

02:33And after they could not cry no more,

02:35each felt so sorry for himself and for one another,

02:38they decided to jump off the mountain and end it all.

02:44Well, PUNCHITO and the little eagle did jump off the top of the mountain.

02:47But as they were falling down and down,

02:50suddenly the little eagle called out.

02:52Look, look my wings, they are flying.

02:55Flap your ears, little burro, and fly like me.

03:01And the ground kept getting bigger and bigger and closer and closer and more bigger.

03:04But just before the ground got big enough to hit PUNCHITO,

03:07the little eagle grabbed him by the tail.

03:11And PUNCHITO made a one point landing.

03:15Right on the tip of his nose.

03:19And the little eagle, he said,

03:21Little burro, you know what? You prayed.

03:24No, no, I did not pray.

03:27Oh, but you did.

03:28You only think you cannot pray, like I thought I could not fly.

03:33So if you think you can pray, you can pray.

03:36So what you think?

03:37PUNCHITO did not know what to think.

03:40But he thought he ought to think, and maybe think some more.

03:44In the meantime,

03:47At the village, a big fiesta was commencing to begin.

03:51The little chicken was practicing her clock.

03:55The little goose was practicing his honk.

03:59The little pig was warming up his squealer.

04:02The band was playing pudding music and everybody was happy.

04:08That is, everybody but the Papa and Mama of little PUNCHITO.

04:13And they were very sad.

04:15Oh, my poor PUNCHITO.

04:17If we only had him back, we would not care if he never prayed nothing.

04:25Listen, Papa.

04:26What is it?

04:27And when the Papa Burro looked to see...

04:30There was little PUNCHITO standing beside the little chicken, the little goose, and the little pig.

04:36And when the band did play, you never did hear such music.

04:42Poor PUNCHITO.

04:43He joined in and prayed.

04:45Hee-haw!

04:46Hee-haw!

04:47And now, little PUNCHITO makes the biggest and most beautiful hee-haw in all Mexico.
