00:00Should've made some hands with me, you knew that I was brave, and now you won't stop calling me, I'm kind of bad, say.
00:07Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the top songs you didn't know were written by Lady Gaga.
00:14Oh no, nobody knows me looking fine.
00:21For this list, we're looking at songs written and co-written by Lady Gaga, also known as Stephanie Germanotta, for other artists.
00:30Number 7. Chillin', Wale featuring Lady Gaga.
00:34Not long after Lady Gaga smashed her way onto the scene with the fame, producer Mark Ronson introduced her to Wale, a rapper who was also preparing his first album.
00:43The two artists hit it off immediately, and Gaga agreed to write the hook for Wale's lead single, Chillin'.
00:48After providing the vocals as well, she would go on to appear in the music video.
01:00The track includes a tribute to Wale's hometown, and features multiple shoutouts to the Washington, D.C. area.
01:09Though Gaga herself is a New York girl, her collaborative efforts fit in perfectly.
01:15Her lyrics add the ego flex of two artists who are destined to do their cities proud.
01:20Number 6. Elevator, The Pussycat Dolls.
01:30If you tell me to change your mind, I fall off, cut up, fall off, and you're amazing, I'm so dizzy, babe.
01:35Can't keep going back in both on these waves.
01:37Following the multi-platinum success of their 2005 album, PCD,
01:42The Pussycat Dolls' sophomore album, Doll Domination, would feature several notable collaborators,
01:47as well as one little-known up-and-comer named Stephanie Germanotta, a recent transplant to Los Angeles.
01:53The artist, soon to be known as Lady Gaga, was preparing for her own musical debut when she wrote this song for the group.
01:59The smooth pop groove is an ode to the ups and downs of a rocky relationship.
02:10Though catchy, it would unfortunately prove to be prophetic, as well.
02:14The dolls split in 2010, following a period of internal conflict and wounded egos.
02:19Not before Lady Gaga had a chance to open several legs of their tour, though.
02:31Number 5. Full Service, New Kids on the Block.
02:34When you're an aging boy band in the market for a comeback,
02:37you need serious songwriters to give you the sort of material that will catch the ear of old fans and new listeners alike.
02:43From the front end to the bumper
02:45For the window up and lock the door
02:48Cause I'm gonna rain, rain and thunder
02:50The Block was the group's first album since 1994.
02:54So, yeah, the pressure was on.
02:56The 10th track on the album, Full Service,
02:59was co-written by frequent Gaga collaborator Red One and NKOTB's own Donnie Wahlberg.
03:04Gaga was brought on board after Red One showed her music to the band.
03:07I'ma give it up for service, you see
03:10You gotta be nervous, nervous
03:12I'ma give you a ticket for service, service
03:15Knowing that Gaga helped pen this catchy tune,
03:17you can actually hear a lot of her earlier production and songwriting style.
03:21It didn't get the single treatment, but we think it could have.
03:24How good it could be
03:26Anything you need, I'ma step right up
03:29Anything you need, ain't no doubt
03:31I'ma get on out
03:32Number 4. Murder My Heart, Michael Bolton
03:36And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a curveball.
03:40Admit it.
03:41You thought this was gonna be a list of songs written for conventional, contemporary pop performers.
03:51So, what's quintessentially 80s and 90s pop rock adult contemporary singer Michael Bolton doing collaborating with the mother monster and the queen of weird herself Lady Gaga?
04:01Well, in 2008, Gaga was still breaking out and doing a fair amount of songwriting for others, including Michael Bolton, with whom she reportedly spent two sleepless nights writing this song.
04:12It takes a while to wrap your mind around the blend of Gaga-ish production and Bolton's voice, but honestly, it totally works.
04:25You murder my heart
04:28You murder my heart
04:33Number 3. Hypnotico, Jennifer Lopez
04:35It's a pretty huge endorsement when one of the biggest female pop singers from the last few decades wants one of your songs.
04:42After writing the song alongside Akon, Claude Kelly, Red One, and Tammy Chin for the latter's album, which never saw the light of day, Lady Gaga got to see the shelved song get re-recorded by none other than pop icon Jennifer Lopez.
05:02It was ultimately released as a bonus track on her 2011 album, Love. Though the two, unfortunately, never got to work on the song together in the flesh, Lopez was hugely complimentary of both Gaga's lyrics and her melodies.
05:31Number 2. Fever
05:32Adam Lambert
05:33We've got a fever, and the only cure is more songs written by Lady Gaga.
05:46Of all the singers to come out of American Idol, Adam Lambert is without a doubt among the most successful.
05:52But in the lead-up to the release of his debut album, it must have been quite the thrill for Lambert to find himself in the studio alongside such a massive talent.
06:01Not only did they collaborate together to write Fever, but Gaga's vocals can actually be heard in the chorus.
06:14Adam's distinct vocal style makes the infectious song very much his own, but before the vocals come in, that pounding beat and production style is pure Gaga.

06:44Number 1. Quicksand
06:46Britney Spears
06:47Britney Spears is a pop goddess plain and simple.
06:51And the same goes for Lady Gaga.
06:52So just knowing that this recording is the product of their combined efforts is enough to give us shivers and a whole new appreciation for it.
07:07From piano ballad to pulsing electro pop party jam, Quicksand sounds like exactly what it is.
07:14A Lady Gaga song sung by Britney Spears.
07:16Unfortunately, it was seemingly too much of an outlier for the album, and was relegated to the status of European bonus track.
07:31In our books, however, it's great.
07:33Gotta hold my hand down
07:35Gotta keep my head up
07:37Gotta keep on breathing
07:39Baby, even if we're thinking
07:41If only Spears hadn't passed on telephone when Gaga and co-writer Rodney Jerkins offered it to her.
