Transcript
00:00Any idea about how much cash they're sitting on, how much cash is still on the sidelines,
00:05and maybe what they want to do with that extra cash?
00:07Yeah, there's about $5.5 trillion in cash in money markets right now, but that's all investors.
00:12And if you ask our readers, and we do ask them this,
00:15what would you do with an extra $10,000 right now?
00:18Discretionary investment money.
00:20What would you do with it?
00:21Their number one choice, single stocks.
00:23They would go chase some of their favorite single stocks.
00:25The next choice would be ETFs, which shows you they would diversify as well if they could,
00:29and then way down the line are CDs and money markets and high-yield savings.
00:33Why?
00:33Because the savings rate has been evaporating slowly.
00:36So if you're not getting 5% plus, what the alternative is is either going to be stocks or crypto,
00:41and we have a very high-intensity stock crowd on Investopedia.
