00:00You are calling yourself this psycho-obsessive, stalker, girlfriend.
00:10Ooh! Sexy! Hey!
00:15You and Aditya Roy Kapoor are just friends.
00:18I don't know how to answer this question.
00:20This is our game.
00:22I want you to tell us why she calls you Raju Reporter.
00:25I think you should be a stickball.
00:30I think when people say that they're not going to watch a film because I'm in it,
00:35and that makes me feel really bad.
00:37I'm just lucky to be born to my parents.
00:45What are you talking about?
00:47I don't know. It's just our research.
00:49Guys, well done.
00:50What research?
01:00Geo TV presents No Filter Neha Season 6.
01:05An initiative of Big Girl Productions and Geo Savan in partnership with One Plus,
01:10Black & White Ginger Ale, Non-Alcoholic Beverage, Narayana Health and Rolling Stone India.
01:15A Geo TV, Big Girl Productions and Creative Land Studios creation.
01:20Another day and another episode of No Filter Neha Season 6 on Geo TV.
01:25And my guest today is the only one who's been asking me for years about when she can get on our show.
01:30And now she's killing it so hard that it was literally a pain to get her dates.
01:342023 was her year with her performance shutting up critics and trolls with every take.
01:40And 2024 has so much more in store.
01:43But I'm so glad that she's here right on time before she gets too popular to answer my calls.
01:48Please welcome my favourite Gen Z human, Ananya Pandey.
01:52Oh my god, it's too much.
01:53It was too much.
01:54I was not expecting it.
01:55I feel like I'm gonna cry.
01:56Why is that?
01:57I remember calling you and being like,
01:58Am I not good enough to come on No Filter Neha?
02:02And then two seasons later you called me.
02:04Yeah, I did.
02:05And then as soon as I knew that this is coming,
02:07even before I could give anyone a confirmation,
02:10I was like, whatever happens, Ananya is gonna be here.
02:12And you are here.
02:13So she calls me up, okay?
02:14And she's like, listen, I have to tell you something.
02:16And I couldn't type it out.
02:17And like, it's better that we talk face to face.
02:19And automatically my mind goes to like the worst thing possible.
02:22She's like, I don't know how you're gonna take it.
02:24Don't tell anyone and stuff.
02:25So I was like, oh my god, what has happened?
02:27What has happened?
02:28My mind has gone to a hundred things.
02:29And she was like, okay, now that I made you feel the worst possible thing,
02:32I'm just calling you on my show.
02:33And now you can't say no because you already like thought of the worst thing.
02:36And I was like, okay, fine.
02:38Yeah.
02:39Well, I'm so glad you remember that story.
02:41Yes, it was hard to forget.
02:42Yeah.
02:43And now let's reverse it.
02:45If I hadn't built it up and said, you know what happened, et cetera, et cetera.
02:50Would you have still come?
02:51Yeah.
02:52I like you.
02:53Yeah.
02:54Yeah.
02:55And I like talking.
02:56Without filters.
02:57I like Neha and I like talking.
02:58All right.
02:59So first, let's go back to like, okay, not my best performance.
03:03I kind of clicked a photograph.
03:05It kind of became the talk of the town and it got like some hashtag and Adi, you know,
03:10hashtag to it.
03:11You and Aditya Roy Kapoor were just talking.
03:14Yeah.
03:15So I'm going to just clarify this.
03:16You are just friends, just talking.
03:18I happened to click a photograph at Kriti Sanon's Diwali party and people instead of zooming into our faces, they zoomed into this face that was behind us.
03:28Now, you want to talk about that moment.
03:30I never said just friends though.
03:31You said it.
03:32I just want to like say that.
03:33Like we're very good friends.
03:34I never said just friends.
03:35I just want to say that.
03:36Okay.
03:37Yeah.
03:38I don't think there's much to talk about.
03:39Yeah.
03:40I've seen you three, you, Angad and Kriti looked wonderful and so happy.
03:44And I saw all these captions everywhere.
03:46Lovely, looks glowing.
03:47I was like, wow, you're not getting a lot of love.
03:49And I'm like, we're talking about something else.
03:52And we were just talking.
03:53We were just talking.
03:54We had to catch up.
03:55We were catching up.
03:56Absolutely.
03:57Now, you're a no filter Nia.
03:59Any announcements, anything you want to share with us?
04:02About my films?
04:03Anything.
04:04Yeah.
04:05So I've seen, you're really asking me about my work.
04:07I don't expect to go on shows and be asked about my work.
04:09Okay.
04:10I have my film with Vikram Aditya Motpani, sir, which is a cyber thriller, which I'm really excited about.
04:14I have my show called Call Me Day, which is my first like long time, like long format.
04:20And I have a film that's not been announced yet.
04:22Okay.
04:23So that's great.
04:24I want to ask you a question.
04:25The three of you, all of you are amazing.
04:28But are you saying that you're finally getting your due?
04:32Are you feeling it now?
04:33You know, I don't think I'm finally getting it because people like whenever I've been talking to people, they were like, do you think it's overdue?
04:39And you know, you're feeling like I've been waiting for it for so long.
04:42I actually feel like it's happened at the right time.
04:44The love that I've gotten and the respect that I've gotten in a way because everything that was leading up to this moment,
04:49has prepared me and made me ready for this performance.
04:53I don't think if I hadn't had those experiences, if I hadn't been through, you know, the ups and the downs that I did in the first few years of working in this industry,
05:01I don't think I would have been the person or the actor that I am today.
05:04So I'm grateful for the timing of everything.
05:06I think everything happens at the right time and for the right reason.
05:09Yeah. And, you know, I read a couple of the reviews that you got for playing Ahana and Khogai Amga.
05:15One is you get all these plaudits, you get all the compliments and all that, but they also come with terms and conditions.
05:21A lot of people also wrote that because Ananya is Ahana. So does that bother you anywhere?
05:26You know, I did think that at the start of the film, before the film released that I am Ahana.
05:31But once the film came out, I realized that every girl is Ahana in a way. Every girl has been through a similar experience.
05:37And I think at the time that I was playing her more than ever, I felt like her because of, you know, similar experiences in my life.
05:43Now, I don't feel exactly like her. It feels like there is a part of myself that had been Ahana.
05:47But people said that about me in Gehraya as well. And Tia was very different from how I am as a person.
05:52Oh, you're so good in that film. I'm going to take a moment, interrupt and tell you how good you were.
05:57Thanks. Yeah.
05:58But those Khogai and Gehraya were actually the two films that I prepped for the hardest.
06:02Even though people would say it's the closest to I am, it's probably the closest to me because of the life that they live,
06:08the urban environment that they're from. But, you know, no one's experiences are ever the same.
06:12And sometimes it's even harder because it's so close, you can't switch back to Ananya by mistake.
06:17Because it's like, oh, you know, she can't sit like Ananya. At the end of the day, she's Ahana.
06:21And you almost can fall back into being yourself when you're playing someone close to you on screen.
06:26So there are, you know, difficulties in doing that as well. But I prepped the hardest for these two characters.
06:30Oh, is that right? Yeah.
06:31Or did anything about, you know, sharing screen space on day one with Deepika Padukone throw you off?
06:37She's so beautiful. Like, I mean, like, I think I was just like, how does she look like this?
06:43But I learned so much from Deepika in terms of being a professional actor on set.
06:47Because when I started out with student, it was all like, you know, fun and games.
06:51I thought we were going for a picnic and oh, we made a movie and everything.
06:54I would imagine the first one being harder than a picnic.
06:57In terms of, it just was so much fun. I guess even the kind of film that we were making, I didn't do anything.
07:03I didn't do anything. I just come fresh out of school. I was 18. So like, Student of the Year 2 was like my, you know, that experience of being on that set was like film school.
07:12I learned everything about camera facing. I didn't even know you take multiple takes. I didn't do anything.
07:17Like Tiger would literally move me between a shot. So I would get the light. I didn't do anything.
07:22So for me, all my filming experiences have actually taught me like and I don't think anything teaches you better than actually being on a set.
07:29Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I couldn't agree more. And also the fact that you said that you didn't even know that there were multiple takes.
07:36I used to actually think when I used to see films on TV that they're happening live, you know, and then I switched the channel.
07:42I'm like, they're here also, but then they were just there. So I didn't know anything. For me, movies were just magic.
07:47And at all times while growing up, you were obsessed with the camera. Yeah.
07:50So every time your dad would shoot, you would turn the camera around and say, sure, sure, sure. And then I did that today because someone was, I was shooting something before this.
07:57And I was like, sure. And I was like, I've not changed one bit of excitement to see myself on screen. We'll never go.
08:03But that's amazing, isn't it? Yeah. And onwards and upwards from here as well, which is pressurizing.
08:08Yeah, we're going to we're going to come to that because, you know, there comes a lot of pressure. Great performance.
08:12Speaking of the films, you know, people when they talk about Gen Z characters, they always think that it's about baggy clothes, dyed hair, you know, this white check and sleigh and all of that.
08:22And and I don't know, I'm not getting the word. I love it. You're just throwing in terms.
08:26Yeah. And I'm not that person. But, you know, when you talk about Ahana, she was raw. She was authentic at any point when you were actually working towards transforming yourself into Ahana.
08:38Do you see a lot of inspiration from pop culture? Did you seek that?
08:42Yeah, more than pop culture and like film references, I took a lot of inspiration from my friends around me.
08:49I think similar situations have happened in all of our lives because we all are 20 something and we're all dealing with, you know, relationships and everything that can happen.
08:55and everything that comes with it. So a lot of those instances. But then I think in terms of pop culture, I love Janelia in Jaane Tuya Jaane Na.
09:05I love their friendship that they had. I love Kalki in Ye Jawani Hai Diwani. She was one of the boys. So I love that vibe.
09:10And I love that honest, real portrayal of friendship because, you know, that is how it is in real life.
09:16And sometimes in films, we put a love angle somewhere or we, you know, it's never really been like honest, honest, you know,
09:24I feel like these films had a very real portrayal of friendship.
09:27Ananya, why don't you share a moment from your life where you think you've pushed yourself and decided to never settle for anything less than what you want?
09:34I think as an actor, and this is what I kind of learned from Deepika going back to that, where I didn't know that you could ask for what you want.
09:41I'm very bad at saying no. I thought you just have to make the best of whatever circumstance you're in.
09:47But I really learned on the value of a moment and that moment never coming back and that opportunity never coming back.
09:54So do not settle for anything below the best. And just in that moment, if you need silence, if you need people out of your eye line,
10:00if you need like 10 minutes of just like getting into character, it's better to ask for what you want than regret it later as an actor.
10:08Such a great pro tip for anyone on set and even in life.
10:12Yeah, you should always ask for what you want. Ask at least, even if people say no, then it's fine.
10:16Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Guys, pay check.
10:19Yeah, ask for harm.
10:21Very, very good.
10:24Now, you know, going back a little bit, I wanted to ask you another question.
10:28So one thing is about, you know, compliments, one thing is about how they come with terms and conditions.
10:32We're not touching the subject of trolls because, you know, it's a much larger conversation.
10:37Do critics bother you?
10:38Um, not really. I think I've always found something that I can actually learn.
10:45Um, you know, if they're doing their job right and they're giving constructive criticism and constructive feedback,
10:50then I don't think it's anything to get too bothered with.
10:53But I think the thing is, is that some days the nastiest of things wouldn't bother me
10:58because I'm having a fine day and I'm feeling confident and everything.
11:01But if I'm having a bad day, like even someone being like, your hair is greasy, I'll be like, I'll freak out.
11:07But what's the one thing that stayed with you on a bad day?
11:10I think when people say that they're not going to watch a film because I'm in it.
11:14And that makes me feel really bad, not for myself, but because of like for hundreds of other people who've worked on the film.
11:19So that makes me feel really bad because, but I feel like those people watch the film, they're just saying that.
11:24So yeah, that's my self excuse to feel better.
11:28It's not an excuse. It's, it's good. It's good that you have your own mechanism to get out of it.
11:32Yeah.
11:33So, you know, we, we saw you calling yourself the psycho obsessive stalker girlfriend.
11:40Yeah.
11:41And that's why you relate to Ahana from Khogai Ham Kahan.
11:44But now tell us in the most no filter way that what's the most unhinged thing that you've done in a relationship?
11:50My partner didn't pick up the phone.
11:54I do end up calling between 50 to 75 times.
12:02I have a problem.
12:05I'm the kind of person who needs a problem to be solved in that minute.
12:11I don't like giving people space.
12:13I don't like it.
12:15Yes.
12:16I don't know.
12:17I don't do this.
12:18It's not a good habit.
12:19And then I get over things.
12:20It's really fast.
12:21So I'm like howling for two hours.
12:23And I'm like, hey, I'm fine now.
12:25I just have to be dramatic first, but I'm fine.
12:28I'm okay.
12:29No, it's great.
12:30Yeah.
12:31It's great that you're saying it.
12:32This is called confidence.
12:33Don't do this guys.
12:34Don't listen to me.
12:35Okay.
12:36Yes.
12:37No, no, not good idea.
12:38Don't call someone 50 times because they will put their phone on airplane mode and then it won't be fun.
12:42Okay, fine.
12:43Wait, Raisa, my younger sister taught me this hack that if you are angry with your partner or if you're like sad and you want to say something to them, she's like just change my name on your phone to your partner's name and say everything you want.
12:56And you feel like you've said it to your partner, but actually said it to your friend or your sister.
13:00And then you get it out of your system, but that person doesn't get to know it.
13:04Wow.
13:05And she's your younger sister.
13:06She's my younger, wiser sister.
13:08Yeah.
13:09I mean, thank you, Raisa.
13:10Thanks, Raisa.
13:11Yeah.
13:12I need, but the thing is in like your 40s, how do you find that one person who has that much time to listen to you?
13:16You can message me.
13:17Are you sure?
13:18Yeah.
13:19But then I get to call you 70 times as well.
13:20But I was just going to tell you, you don't pick up it.
13:22If you're in the middle of a shot, I'm going to call you 70 times.
13:24I'm having a crisis here.
13:25Done.
13:26Yeah.
13:27Speaking of friends, Sohana, Shania, two of your closest friends.
13:31Now, was that a friendship that was gifted to you by your mums?
13:34Yes.
13:35We were born into this.
13:36It's like those cousins that you can't like get rid of.
13:38Yeah.
13:39They're my family.
13:40What's it like?
13:41Like, you know, when you're going on a play date and it's Shahrukh's house.
13:45Like, did you ever feel that I'm here at a play date at like Bacha of Bollywood's house?
13:49I think he's just the kind of person, we didn't feel like that.
13:53He never let us feel like that.
13:54I don't think he lets anyone feel like that.
13:56Yeah.
13:57He always makes the person in front of him feel like the Bacha actually.
14:00He has that amazing quality about him.
14:01We didn't realize it till much later, but Shahrukh sir is a very inclusive person.
14:06Like, there was this year that KKR, Polkata Nightiders, they won the first ever IPL cup.
14:11And he was like, it's because of you three and you are my lucky charms.
14:15You will always be with me.
14:16So he makes us always feel so, so, so special.
14:19So I don't think when we were younger, we realized it or it even hit us.
14:23And Sohana, when she got Archie's like, what was the first call to you? What was it like?
14:27Honestly, we talk about acting so much less now that we all three are working.
14:32You know, I feel like before we became actors, we used to play all these acting games and we were constantly watching movies together and discussing.
14:38But now I think because it's our professional lives, when we are just the three of us, we tend to talk about everything but work.
14:45And if there was a film with the three of you in the lead, give us a title.
14:49Charlie's Angel.
14:50That's what we call our group for no reason.
14:52There's nothing to do with Charlie's Angels.
14:54But yeah, just for old time's sake.
14:56So Charlie's Angel.
14:57Okay, nice one.
14:58All right.
14:59So, you know, we actually reached out to Shania.
15:01Oh my God.
15:02She said some very nice things about you.
15:03So we asked her to describe you in three words.
15:07And just take a guess because we have a message from her.
15:12I'm pretty sure psychotic.
15:13Is psychotic not there?
15:15I'll be shocked if like psycho or like crazy, obsessive is not.
15:19Then it's all one, right?
15:20So psychotic?
15:21That category is one.
15:22Okay.
15:23I think I would like her to say that I'm loyal.
15:26Okay.
15:27Yeah.
15:28And she's beautiful.
15:30No.
15:31Beautiful.
15:32She's not so beautiful.
15:33So like if this was the target, you are so off.
15:38It's not even funny.
15:40She's called you possessive.
15:42Okay.
15:43I was there.
15:44Okay.
15:45Kind of there.
15:46Romantic.
15:47That's loyal.
15:48Okay.
15:49Yeah.
15:50Yeah.
15:51And superstitious.
15:52That's beautiful.
15:53But yeah.
15:54So I think you outdid yourself.
15:56I made myself sound somewhat worse.
15:58And your mom on the other hand called you one word.
16:01And we want to know why.
16:02We want you to tell us why she calls you Raju reporter.
16:04Raju reporter.
16:05Oh my God.
16:06Okay.
16:07So I basically when I was younger, which I think maybe I still do, but I could not keep
16:12any secret in my stomach.
16:13So if I overheard something going on in my family, I'd go and tell the family member
16:17they were talking about.
16:18Yeah.
16:19So in this one time, my mom and my Masi and my Nani were talking about my other Masi.
16:24And you know, something about her health and all of that stuff.
16:27And then my Masi came back home and I was like, guess what they're saying about you.
16:31And then she was like, what?
16:32And she locked herself in the bathroom and I was like trying to get her out of the bathroom.
16:36But yeah, Raju reporter.
16:38So friends, family, you know, speaking of friends, I'm going to come back a little bit
16:41to the friends, but if you look at Suhana, Shania, you, all of you, like, you know, you're
16:46all kids who are from the film fraternity and you all have film backgrounds.
16:52Now, is this a double-edged sword just being star kids?
16:55You know, honestly, I have realized to just be like grateful and focus on like the positive
17:02sides of things because everything in life has a bad side and a good side.
17:06So obviously there are, you know, different pressures.
17:09Everyone's aware of it.
17:10Everyone's discussed this star kids and nepotism thing so much.
17:13I don't think I'm going to say something new that's going to add value to it.
17:16But I really believe that everything in life has two sides of a coin.
17:19You know, there are negatives to everything.
17:21There's pressure.
17:22There's, you know, people want to see you from such a young age before you figured your life out.
17:25Other people have figured it out for you.
17:27And then there's the other side where you get opportunities so much easier.
17:30Yeah.
17:31So everything in life is going to have that good and bad.
17:32I think it's what you choose to focus on.
17:34That's important.
17:35And it doesn't trouble you at all.
17:37No, I'm just like lucky to be born to my parents.
17:40I don't think I'd want it any other way.
17:41And there's nothing to be ashamed or sad or ungrateful about that.
17:44I don't want to think of that as a negative experience.
17:47I think for me, it's more important to just, you know, rule people away with my work.
17:52Of course, which you are.
17:53And I mean, did you think you're going to be on top of the roster so soon?
17:58Just four years in the business.
17:59And that's amazing.
18:00I'm not top of the roster.
18:01You are.
18:02I'm just like trying to get there.
18:03You don't know Filtonia.
18:04Of course you are.
18:05I know.
18:06This is a big achievement for me now.
18:07I'll have my filmography school.
18:08Yeah.
18:09Well, I want to tell you that you're such a great example when it comes to youngsters.
18:12You've worked with so many young actors and some slightly older than you.
18:16We're going to play a small little game with you.
18:18It's just, it's simple.
18:19It's just called piece of advice.
18:20Okay.
18:21I'm going to throw a name at you and please give them a piece of advice.
18:23I want to give them a piece of advice.
18:25Yes.
18:26Are you ready?
18:27Ready.
18:28Alright.
18:29First one, Khushi Kapoor.
18:30Khushi is so new.
18:31I would say don't listen to too many people's voices.
18:32Follow your heart.
18:33Alright.
18:34Tiger.
18:35Tiger, I would say have more cheat nails more often.
18:37Yeah.
18:38He was on our show and it was hard to get him to eat a cupcake.
18:41That was his out.
18:42Are you going to give me cupcakes?
18:43Yeah.
18:44There are going to be cupcakes right here for you.
18:45Is that the out?
18:46It's the out.
18:47Oh my god.
18:48Tiger didn't eat the cupcake but he answered the question.
18:50Hey.
18:51Okay.
18:52Tara.
18:53Tara, I would tell her to put out a music album because she has a great voice.
18:56Okay.
18:57Okay.
18:58Agastya.
18:59Do not wear his heart on his sleeve and believe everyone is his best friend.
19:03Siddhaan Chaturvedi.
19:04Do like a super commercial dancey song because he's a great like and he enjoys dancing so much.
19:09Alright.
19:10Shania.
19:11I was just trained from calling me.
19:12What was the word she used?
19:13Possessive.
19:14Possessive.
19:15I would also say tie your head in a bun so I can't pull your ponytail every time we fight.
19:19You know I did that.
19:20Yeah.
19:21I know we're coming to that but you want to tell us a little more?
19:23She was just talking to another girl and she said I'm possessive and I didn't like that so I just pulled her head.
19:28I mean the only thing I would have wanted if I was like 15 years younger was a friend like you.
19:36Exactly.
19:37It's romantic right?
19:38Yeah.
19:39You are just the best friend in the world.
19:40I know.
19:41I have a nice feeling.
19:42Right.
19:44Okay.
19:45Alright.
19:46Adarsh?
19:47I would tell Adarsh to do a comedy movie because in every movie people expect him to kill someone so do a comedy movie.
19:51Okay.
19:52And Suhana?
19:53So Hana I would tell her to not get affected by things so much and like not take everything to your heart.
20:00Yeah.
20:01We have a lot of like heart related answers.
20:02Yeah.
20:03I've given the young ones really solid advice.
20:05Yes you have.
20:06Yeah.
20:07I mean and you've done really well.
20:08I have.
20:09Alright.
20:10So acting is like you know in your blood.
20:12Your father's brilliant.
20:13He's this iconic actor and you know he's been very vocal about talking about the fact that he's got the raw end of the deal.
20:19Now what did you learn from his journey and what was it like growing up as his daughter watching him go to work.
20:25Tell us.
20:26You know honestly for me this whole thing about my dad's ups and downs.
20:30I actually only started hearing about it when I became an actor because at home he never let it reach us.
20:35We never knew what he's going through.
20:37What's happening with his work because to us it was like oh dad's going to work and you know at the time where he didn't have that much work.
20:43My dad's the kind of person he'll always find a way to work you know no matter what it is.
20:47Such a great quality.
20:48Yeah he's a hustler you know he and he likes to make other people also work you know everyone says that about him.
20:53So I don't think he ever let it reach us and that's something that I've learned from him to you know keep hustling no matter what.
20:58And to be a good human because everyone talks about his warmth and his humor so much.
21:02So I don't think I've ever like that's what seen my dad like sitting at home.
21:05Yeah.
21:06Yeah.
21:07That's fantastic.
21:08And he also like became this mega star in Bangladesh.
21:11Yeah we don't know about that.
21:13Do you want to spill some beans on that?
21:14I mean like even I I don't I haven't seen the side and the stardom but I've heard he was like a superstar over there.
21:20Yeah yeah yeah.
21:21I don't want to see some of his like Bangla movies.
21:23We're speaking about cameras and your dad you were caught on camera with a boy without your parents permission.
21:30Um you want to tell us about that incident?
21:33When what ha?
21:34You first complete your question.
21:36That's it.
21:37When?
21:38Never.
21:39Because this is my trick I don't complete the question hoping for.
21:41I found this out about you.
21:43Huh?
21:44What are you talking about?
21:45No but wasn't there a moment in your life where you were caught on camera with a boy sitting in your living room and while your parents were wee?
21:52Did my mom tell you this story?
21:54I don't know.
21:55What is wrong?
21:56Well done.
21:57What research?
21:58This is called the No Filter Neha research.
21:59Is it true or no?
22:01You know memories are just fuzzy but I do remember that my dad had installed cameras in the house in the living room and for some reason I don't know why I thought like maybe he's just doing this to scare me or he won't actually.
22:14And I'm a big fatu like I never lie to my parents like even when I was young when I started dating my first boyfriend I actually called my mom to ask her should I say yes to him.
22:22Like he's asked me out and I'm like I was in school and I was like can I call my mom and I'm like mom can I say yes and she's like what are you doing?
22:29So I was that kind of person and I still am like I have to tell my parents everything.
22:32So I don't know I was just feeling a little risky and gutsy so I was just sitting in the living room having a conversation.
22:37What happened? Where were your parents at this?
22:40They were not in town I think they had gone to Goa or something so I was gonna I was like maybe I'd seen some movie and I felt really cool and I was like I'm gonna sneak you know this guy friend in sitting on the sofa and talking.
22:51And then my dad never yells at me he'll always just say I'm disappointed in you like I can't believe you've done this.
22:57And I was so upset I like remember I wrote my parents parents like a five page letter about how sorry I am and I'll never do it again.
23:05But I think they were really good in scaring me because I've never done that.
23:08But that's very sweet of you to write this long apology as well.
23:12We're gonna play a small little game with you.
23:14It's super simple.
23:16Okay.
23:17All you have to do is use this prop.
23:18It's guilty or not guilty.
23:20I'm gonna point to you if you are guilty of doing it.
23:22That's my addition to the game.
23:24You've given your own twist of this game.
23:26Fine.
23:27Are you guilty of deep stalking someone on Insta?
23:29Okay.
23:30Using your cuteness to get out of trouble.
23:33Okay.
23:34I'm gonna ask Neha to edit the entire show with.
23:37Yeah.
23:38Okay.
23:39Bitching about someone as soon as they leave the room.
23:41Okay.
23:42Uh.
23:45Not true.
23:46You're gonna leave the room and I'm only gonna say nice thing.
23:48Yeah.
23:49Yeah.
23:50Complimenting somebody without meaning it.
23:51Of course you're guilty.
23:52I've seen you do it.
23:53Neha, you look so terrible.
23:55Yeah, a little bit.
23:57Okay.
23:58A little bit, fully.
23:59Giving your parents a sirdard.
24:02Okay.
24:03Oversharing in an interview.
24:06Today.
24:07Having questionable dating choices.
24:10Calling the paps and pretending to be surprised.
24:13I'm pretending to be surprised.
24:14Okay.
24:15Flirting with an ex after breaking up.
24:17Alright.
24:18Saving your ex's souvenirs.
24:20An Xbox and you should throw everything and burn it.
24:22You call it the Xbox?
24:23Yeah.
24:24I'm not sure.
24:25I'm not sure how please they'll be but call it the Xbox.
24:29That's funny.
24:30Alright.
24:31This is a 100% thumbs up lying on this chat show.
24:35Why will I lie?
24:36I'm only asking.
24:38You.
24:40Alright.
24:41You did very well.
24:42I'm on this thumb for every game.
24:44Now, you know, speaking of social media,
24:46they always say that you shouldn't run after this social media validation.
24:50But you think that somewhere you found the right balance between
24:54Itnay mein humari picture post karke mera kaam ho ga hai.
24:57Versus, I shouldn't chase the validation.
24:59Versus, you know, this is not good for me.
25:02You think you, somewhere you found the balance.
25:04Because all of us keep going back to that thinking, what are people saying?
25:08Does that affect you?
25:10It used to affect me a lot.
25:12I used to be, like, in this loop of, like, checking who's liked my pictures,
25:15who's commented, who's messages.
25:17A message which pages are carrying my, like, I used to get really affected by it.
25:22But I think the place that I'm in life right now, like, I don't care.
25:25And it's really just been so much better for my mental health because I've muted pages.
25:30I've, like, blocked pages on Instagram that don't, you know, make me feel good about myself.
25:35And it's actually made a huge difference in my confidence.
25:37Like, what kind of stuff would not make you feel good?
25:39I think when you see stuff that you start comparing your lives with other people
25:43and you think, like, oh, she's having so much fun.
25:45Or she's on this holiday.
25:46She's on that holiday.
25:47Or this girl is going to be that director.
25:50And you'd feel really bad that you're not doing enough.
25:52So I think just, like, insecurities like that, I think it's better to just, like, block it out.
25:56Yeah, and also people need to understand that not everything you see over there for those six seconds is true.
26:01Yeah, because people only post, like, the good side on social media.
26:04Yeah, yeah.
26:05You know, you once said that you were going to be a doctor, right?
26:07I wanted to.
26:08I didn't, I wasn't going to at all.
26:09Okay.
26:10I wanted to.
26:11Well, good thing you didn't become a doctor.
26:12I mean, many people died.
26:14I would have been really, no, yeah, maybe you're right.
26:18But look at us.
26:19I mean, imagine the film industry without you.
26:21They would be fine.
26:22No, no, no, no.
26:23I'm telling you, you're literally, like, my, if I know that you're in a film, I'm going to watch it.
26:27How sweet.
26:28And you should comment that on, like, some of the things.
26:30High percent.
26:31Okay.
26:32Our next game is very simple.
26:33It's called Career Counselor.
26:34So I'm just going to give you alternate careers.
26:36And how do you know that which actor will be right in this career?
26:40Take care.
26:41Alright.
26:42First one.
26:43Chat show host.
26:44Deepika Padu.
26:45Okay.
26:46I wish you'd saved it till the next one.
26:47Deepika is more rational.
26:48And you cannot repeat the first.
26:49Okay, it's fine.
26:50I don't know why I said that.
26:51Second one.
26:52This is easy.
26:53Therapist.
26:54A therapist.
26:55Karan.
26:56Yeah, I had a feeling you'd say that.
26:57Okay, I'm going to say Alia actually.
26:58Alia?
26:59Alia.
27:00Because every time I've gone to her with something, she's always made me feel like I could speak
27:02my heart out.
27:03That's great.
27:04See, we didn't know this side.
27:05Gossip columnist.
27:06Arjun.
27:07Arjun.
27:08He knows everything.
27:09Our professional model.
27:10Disha.
27:11Alright.
27:12Matchmaker.
27:13I didn't say Karan.
27:14I said Alia.
27:15So Karan.
27:16Okay.
27:17Alright.
27:18Sexpert.
27:19Mahit Kapoor.
27:21She keeps talking about it on the show.
27:24Stand-up comedian.
27:25Varun.
27:26Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
27:27Good.
27:28You're doing very well.
27:29I'm thinking.
27:30I'm thinking.
27:31Detective.
27:32Farina Kapoor.
27:33Okay.
27:34Doctor.
27:35Doctor.
27:36My dad.
27:37My dad would be the worst doctor one.
27:39Because he gives you a medical kit every time I travel and every time something happens
27:43on holiday, that one item is never on the medical kit.
27:45But that's not just your dad.
27:46It's life.
27:47Life.
27:48Okay.
27:49Yeah, but that's fine.
27:50But good.
27:51At least you have an answer.
27:52Last two left.
27:53You've done really well.
27:54Oh my God.
27:55Influencer.
27:56Kushi.
27:57Okay.
27:58Stripper.
27:59There's no come.
28:00Why then?
28:01Is this cupcake going to come?
28:02That's another game.
28:03I think you should be a stripper.
28:04Why me?
28:05I don't know.
28:06Okay.
28:07Yeah, but listen.
28:08That's a huge compliment and I'm totally taking it.
28:10Yeah.
28:11Okay.
28:12Fine.
28:13Cut to.
28:14Where's my pole?
28:15Slight pole.
28:18Last five years.
28:19Great run.
28:20But you know,
28:21Jayadni, there's a lot of tarif,
28:22there's a lot of trolling.
28:23What's the piece of advice that you would give
28:26the 21 year old Ananya Pandey versus now about dealing with hate?
28:32What I would say is to protect a part of myself
28:35because how I was at the start is I would put my life and soul out there
28:39and I would be like, this is me.
28:40I want to say exactly what's on my mind.
28:42I would think I'm like responsible to just say the absolute truth all the time.
28:46And I think what I learned was or what I would,
28:49and I would like to say to myself is to protect that part of you.
28:52So you don't complete like if something was wrong,
28:54you still have that self to hold on.
28:56Because I don't have like a connection between my brain and my mouth.
28:59So I speak really fast.
29:00I don't think before I talk.
29:01So sometimes I would say things in jest or sarcasm or not fully articulate
29:06what I'm saying correctly, which I've learned in hindsight.
29:08Now it's probably a little bit of my fault.
29:10Everyone is not going to understand you.
29:12So you have to make peace with that.
29:13Yeah.
29:14I mean, it's really good advice.
29:15And we love the part where you said that you have very little connection
29:19between your brain and your mouth.
29:22You don't think much before speaking.
29:24And you're the perfect candidate to play again.
29:28Great.
29:29Yeah, so are you ready?
29:30Yes.
29:31Yeah.
29:32But there has to be a cupcake in front of me.
29:33I need this out.
29:34We'll get there.
29:35If I come out, I would be like noodles or something.
29:37Why would we give you anything you love on this show?
29:39Okay, fine.
29:40So we have our next and final game.
29:43It's lots of fun.
29:44It's called bowl or no bowl.
29:46It's very simple.
29:47All you have to do is either answer,
29:49or take a shit from the bowl and do that.
29:51Are you ready?
29:52The award for stop posting thirst traps goes to?
29:55I would tell Dipika
29:57because none of us Gen Z girls can compete.
29:59Oh, really bad.
30:00Great.
30:01So the thirst trap award goes to Dipika Patukon.
30:03Great answer.
30:04If anyone asks you,
30:06you can't do this job.
30:08All you have to do is,
30:09what happened?
30:10I'm just taking my parts.
30:11Yeah, fine.
30:12I'm alive.
30:13The savage AF award goes to?
30:15Kajol.
30:17Wow.
30:18The best two left feet award goes to?
30:20Adar.
30:21He doesn't know how to dance?
30:22He hates dance.
30:23But he did such a good job in the film.
30:24He only says it.
30:25It's the toughest thing to ever do is to dance.
30:26Okay.
30:27The best legs in the business?
30:28Disha.
30:29Okay, Disha Patni.
30:30The Humko Hindi Nahi Aata award goes to?
30:32Auri Kwa Hindi Nahi Aata.
30:33Nahi Aata.
30:34Okay, fine.
30:35Admit you are together already award goes to?
30:41Eat two cupcakes!
30:42I can't believe!
30:44What? The full thing?
30:45Yeah.
30:46Either you eat it or you just talk.
30:48Either name the guy then.
30:49One second.
30:51One second, one second.
30:52I'm not going to...
30:53Let me reach out to the cupcakes.
30:54I'm not going to...
30:55No, no, no, no.
30:56Tamanna and Vijay Varma.
30:58Okay.
30:59I'm not going to eat the cupcakes.
31:01Okay.
31:02I'm not going to eat it.
31:03Okay.
31:04Okay, I answered.
31:05Okay, you answered.
31:06Well done.
31:07All right.
31:08The best social media game award goes to?
31:10The best social media game award goes to?
31:12The best social media game award goes to?
31:14Well done.
31:15The make a comeback award goes to?
31:16Govinda make a comeback.
31:17Okay, fine.
31:18With David Ji.
31:19Okay, fine.
31:20This is the most dateable actor in Bollywood award goes to?
31:24Can I say Sohana is extremely dateable because I think she's the best girlfriend ever.
31:28Oh, wow.
31:29Yeah.
31:30She's a sweetheart.
31:31You're doing really well.
31:32The most misunderstood celebrity award goes to?
31:35Can't name yourself.
31:36My dad.
31:39Needs to fire their PR team award goes to?
31:43Is that really easy?
31:44But how can I answer this question?
31:46You answered all.
31:47Shut your eyes and clean your ears like you're really into it.
31:49Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
31:51Oh, the ear bun.
31:52Oh, yeah.
31:53These are like, like.
31:55Two, two.
31:56Wait, both sides.
31:57And now please shut your eyes.
31:58And now take your time.
32:01Oh, I've not cleaned my ears in a really long time.
32:08I don't want to show you all.
32:09I'm so sick.
32:11Ananya, I have to say you have done so well in our games.
32:14You've done so well on this interview.
32:16Please don't tell your agent to call and edit anything out.
32:19We've really enjoyed having you here.
32:21You've been absolutely amazing.
32:23That's a little gift from all of us at No Filter Nea for you.
32:26It was heavy.
32:27Yeah.
32:28No filter Ananya Pandey.
32:29You have been absolutely amazing.
32:31I'm scared.
32:32Why?
32:33No, you didn't.
32:35I had fun.
32:36I had fun.
32:37I'm happy and begged you to come on this show.
32:38It was fun.
