00:30We found that he has broadly Middle Eastern or North African ancestry.
00:35About 80% of his ancestry is best matched to that of other individuals in North Africa that we have.
00:44But the closest ones we have are from Morocco.
00:47So indeed very far from Egypt.
00:49And it will be exciting to actually have ancient DNA from older Egypt to really compare directly.
00:54And then a second part, about one-fifth, is best traced to the Eastern Fertile Crescent, ancient Mesopotamia, present-day Iraq.
01:06Which is really fascinating and may provide a first glimpse into mobility of people between these different regions.
