A travel agent has been remanded for four days to assist in investigations related to a case of criminal intimidation against a married couple while they were in Japan earlier this year.

According to local reports, the suspect was unhappy that the couple had entered an area in Japan he considered his turf.

00:13Police Chief ACP Noor Hizam Bahaman said the remand is needed to complete investigations
00:19under Section 506 of the Penal Code for Criminal Intimidation. The suspect was arrested at a
00:26restaurant in Sepang at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The victims, who are also tour guides, had lodged a
00:32police report on January 28 upon returning from Japan. It is understood that the incident occurred
00:39on January 24 at a friend's rental house in Japan. According to local reports, the suspect was unhappy
00:46that the couple had entered an area in Japan he considered his turf. The suspect is reportedly
00:51known in the community as a Japan travel writer and social media content creator.
