00:00Luka Modric, welcome to AC Milan. Let's start from that picture when you were a child and you

00:12wore an AC Milan tracksuit. Right now that dream has become reality. How do you feel about that?

00:19Yes, the photo looks amazing and it's been a long time obviously. When I grew up I used to

00:26watch a lot Italian League and Milan was my favorite team. At the time in Croatia we follow a lot Milan

00:36because it was one of the most popular clubs in the world and also because there was Zvonimir Boban

00:47who was my idol. Now I'm here and really happy to be here and looking forward for

00:55for a new adventure. What's the main reason that convinced you to accept AC Milan's offer?

01:01I wanted to stay in Europe, continue playing competitive football. I had some other offers

01:11but when Milan showed up for me it was clear. From the first moment I was up to it and

01:18what also impressed me that how they showed up director Iglitare came to Croatia to present me the

01:30project everything about Milan and that that was very important for me to show me how much they

01:37they want me and because Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Milan cannot be satisfied with

01:46average needs to have the biggest goals possible to win titles to compete with the best teams in the

01:55world and that's why I'm here. You're entering the Rossoneri locker room. What do you want to bring

02:02to your teammates and to the team in terms of leadership aiming to the top? First of all I'm

02:09coming with a lot of respect to everyone, to the players, to the coaches, to the club in general. What I

02:19want to bring there is to win, to help my teammates in every aspect, to work hard to earn my place in the team. Nothing

02:31can come easy in your life. You have to work hard, you have to fight. After 17 seasons between Premier League

02:41and La Liga you're going to experience the Serie A. What do you expect from this league and from this kind

02:48of football? Especially last last years I watched a lot Italian football. It's very competitive league

02:57growing up again and mainly also because of a lot of Croatian players playing in Italy and I always like to

03:04follow where my teammates from national team playing. A lot of great teams, a lot of great players, very

03:11tactical, strong, physical league. You arrived at AC Milan being 39. What's the secret behind this footballing

03:20youth you have? For me the most important is what I always say it's love for the game, love for the

03:27football. This is what I still have, this is what I still feel in my belly, this fire and this is what

03:34pushed me of course. Working hard, preparing yourself to be at the top, to be the best, living healthy life

03:43with the family. The secret, real secret there is not, there is many aspects but for me how I see it it's

03:51the passion and the love for the football. Right behind you we are seeing your new jersey with the number 14 on

03:58the back. Why did you choose number 14? I like this number. I know that in Milan number 10 is a great

04:07player like Rafael Leao and he is a present and future of Milan. How he's not free I had to choose one

04:15and I chose 14 because I like it really and because I played in national team in the beginning and

04:22my career and after in Tottenham and it went well with this number and hopefully it will go here also.

04:29You have achieved so many dreams in your life. You want it all but do you have other dreams to achieve

04:37in your mind? I achieved many things more than I ever expected in my life and I'm really happy and

04:45thankful for all that I achieved. I'm never satisfied. I always want more especially professionally when you

04:55win things and when you feel the when you have this feeling you want to to repeat it and that's why for me

05:03I still have a hunger desire to win things especially now. Outside of football I achieved everything having

05:10beautiful family my wife with three kids and this is most important for me and and I don't need anything

05:18else just I want to with my wife give my kids great values in the life to be respectful humble like my

05:32my parents teach me and my sisters and this is what I have and I'm super happy and grateful for for this.
