00:00Luka Modric, welcome to AC Milan. Let's start from that picture when you were a child and you

00:12wore an AC Milan tracksuit. Right now that dream has become reality. How do you feel about that?

00:19Yes, the photo looks amazing and it's been a long time obviously. When I grew up I used to

00:26watch a lot Italian league and Milan was my favorite team. At the time in Croatia we follow a lot Milan

00:36because it was one of the most popular clubs in the world and also because there was Zvonimir Boban

00:47who was my idol. Now I'm here and really happy to be here and looking forward for

00:55for a new adventure. What's the main reason that convinced you to accept AC Milan's offer?

01:01I wanted to stay in Europe, continue playing competitive football. I had some other offers

01:11but when Milan showed up for me it was clear. From the first moment I was up to it and

01:18what also impressed me that how they showed up director Iglitare came to Croatia to present me the

01:30project everything about Milan and that that was very important for me to show me how much they

01:37they want me and because Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Milan cannot be satisfied with

01:46average needs to have the biggest goals possible to win titles to compete with the best teams in the

01:55world and that's why I'm here. You're entering the Rossoneri locker room. What do you want to bring

02:02to your teammates and to the team in terms of leadership aiming to the top? First of all I'm

02:09coming with a lot of respect to everyone to the players to the coaches to the club in general. What I

02:19want to bring there is to win to to help my teammates in in every aspect to work hard to earn my my my place

02:30in the team. Nothing can come easy in your life you have to work hard you have to fight. After 17 seasons

02:40between Premier League and La Liga you're going to experience the Serie A. What do you expect from this

02:46league and from this kind of football? Especially last last years I watched a lot Italian football it's very

02:55competitive league growing up again and mainly also because of a lot of Croatian players playing in

03:02Italy and I always like to follow where my teammates from national team playing a lot of great teams a

03:09lot of great players very tactical strong physical league. You arrived at AC Milan being 39

03:16what's the secret behind this footballing youth you have? For me the most important is what I always

03:25say it's love for the game love for the football this is what I still have this is what I still feel

03:31in my belly this fire and this is what pushed me of course working hard preparing yourself to be at the top

03:41to be the best living healthy life with the family. The secret real secret there is no there is many

03:47aspects but for me how I see it it's the passion and the love for the football. Right behind you we are

03:55seeing your new jersey with the number 14 on the back. Why did you choose number 14? I like this number I know

04:03that in Milan number 10 is a great player like Raphael Leao and he is a present and future of Milan how

04:13he's not free I had to choose one and I choose 14 because I like it really and and because I played in

04:20national team in the beginning and my career and after in Tottenham and it went well with this number and

04:26hopefully it will go here also. You have achieved so many dreams in your life you want it all but do you

04:35have other dreams to achieve in your mind? I achieved many things more that I ever expected in my life

04:43and I'm really happy and thankful for all that I achieved. I'm never satisfied I always want more

04:52especially professionally when you win things and when you feel the when you have this feeling you want

04:59to to repeat it and that's why for me I still have a hunger desire to win things especially now outside of

05:07football I achieved everything having beautiful family my wife with three kids and this is most important

05:14for me and I don't need anything else just I want to with my wife give my kids great values in the life

05:26to be respectful humble like my my parents teach me and my sisters and this is what I have and I'm

05:38super happy and grateful for for this. Luca thanks a lot for your time for this first interview as
