00:00This is the moment Lee Byer smirks as officers arrested him for the murder of an 87-year-old man.

00:05I'm arresting you on suspicion of the murder of Mr. Thomas Halloran on the 16th of August 2022.

00:21Just days after being released from prison, Byer launched a brutal, unprovoked attack.

00:26Thomas O'Halloran was a beloved local musician.

00:28That day he'd been out busking to raise money for a Ukrainian charity.

00:33As he travelled home with shopping bags in his scooter, Byer approached with a knife...

00:37...jogging past a pregnant woman pushing a pram, and stabbed Thomas in broad daylight.
