00:00Good news for the San Antonio Spurs, Wemby appears to be 100% and back.
00:05I mean, he was so good when he was playing.
00:07It was unfortunate he had those blood clot issues in his shoulder
00:09and didn't get to play the second half of last year.
00:12But now that he has been cleared, it sets up San Antonio, I think, for the future.
00:17Obviously, they're going to have a new head coach, Greg Popovich,
00:20no longer the coach there with the Spurs,
00:22and a lot of young players to go along with him.
00:25Absolutely. I mean, when we think about it,
00:27we only saw Victor Wemby and Yama play somewhere around 45, 46 games last season.
00:32But when healthy, I think it's not far-fetched to say he's a top 10
00:36and maybe even a top 5 player this upcoming season,
00:38especially when you think about the injuries to other top players in the NBA.
00:41So you have a top 5, top 10 player in the NBA that's 21 years old
00:46and the other guys around him, you saw that young Corb,
00:48getting Dylan Harper, Stephon Castle, last year's Rookie of the Year.
00:51They're going for a three-peat, three-consecutive Rookie of the Year.
00:53I don't know if that's ever been done before,
00:55but back-to-back was certainly done this past year.
00:57With Castle and Wemby and Yama, the Spurs are exciting.
01:00They're a team who was on pace to make it to the postseason
01:02had Victor Wemby and Yama not gone down with that issue.
01:05So I'm excited to see him back on the floor
01:07and excited to see the leaps that he makes in Year 3
01:09because he is certainly a superstar in the NBA
01:11and it's going to be exciting to see him play with those guys around him.
