Kilgetty councillors have stated that they are ‘wholeheartedly determined’ to retain the village’s Community Centre, in light of the fact that the land it sits on, has been put up for sale by the Co-op.
Councillors have stated that the Community Centre is used by over 300 people every week, whilst the car park and public toilets are also a valuable asset to local residents and many visitors.
The three facilities in jeopardy all sit on a piece of land in the village located off Carmarthen Road, which is now being advertised for sale as ‘a compelling opportunity for developers and investors' via Independent property consultants Hartnell Taylor Cook, who are acting on behalf of the Co-op.
