00:00Carol was invited to a Halloween party in an abandoned house.

00:03Her friends asked if she was up for a challenge, and she said yes.

00:07Soon enough, she was locked inside a room.

00:09In this room, there was one door and three light switches next to it.

00:13Behind the door was an empty closet with nothing but a light bulb.

00:17Her task was to figure out which switch controls the light bulb inside the closet.

00:21She could flip the switches in whatever way she wanted,

00:24but once she opened the door, she couldn't touch the switches anymore.

00:27After some minutes of thinking, she was able to get it right.

00:31How did Carol do it?

00:41Okay, let's go step by step.

00:43She flipped switch number one and waited for a few minutes.

00:46She flipped it again and then immediately flipped switch number two.

00:50Then she opened the door and checked the light.

00:52There was no light, so she discovered that it wasn't switch number two that controlled it.

00:56So, she decided to touch the bulb to test if it was hot or cold.

01:01If the bulb had been cold, that would have meant that switch number three controlled it.

01:05But the bulb was hot, so that meant that switch number one controlled it.

01:10To get back to the party, Carol had to solve another riddle.

01:14There was a seven-minute hourglass and a four-minute hourglass in front of her.

01:18She needed to measure nine minutes using both hourglasses.

01:21How could she do it?

01:31First, she turned both hourglasses at the same time.

01:34By the time the four-minute glass emptied, there were still three minutes left on the other one.

01:38She flipped the four-minute glass again.

01:40By the time the seven-minute glass was empty, there was one minute left on the other glass.

01:44And by the time the four-minute hourglass emptied again, there was one minute's worth of sand in the bottom half of the seven-minute timer.

01:51She flipped it over again, so there was one minute's worth of sand on the top of the glass.

01:56And when the seven-minute timer finally emptied again, nine minutes elapsed.

02:01Phew!

02:02That took some work.

02:04Now take a look at this party scene.

02:06Everyone is dancing in their Halloween costumes and having a good time.

02:09You've been told that one of these people is a real vampire.

02:12Can you figure out who it is?

02:22Let's see.

02:23The guy on the left is drinking something red, but he has a shadow, so he can't be a real vampire.

02:28The second lady looks kind of creepy.

02:30It could be her.

02:31But if you look closely at the mirror on the wall, you'll see her reflection.

02:34So it can't be her.

02:35Ah, and we can also see the reflection of the fourth guy in the mirror.

02:39This only leaves one lady left.

02:41She must be the real vampire.

02:44Bobby called Susan to help him go ghost hunting in a creepy old hotel.

02:48Bobby's state-of-the-art equipment indicated that there was a strong paranormal activity going on there.

02:54But it looked like the ghost had a sense of humor and wanted to play hide-and-seek with them before it revealed itself.

02:59It led Bobby and Susan into a room with four doors.

03:02Each door had an inscription on it, with no clues to where the ghost might be hiding.

03:07The sign on door A says, it's behind B or C.

03:11The sign behind door B says, it's behind A or D.

03:15Door C says, it's in here.

03:18And door D claims, the ghost isn't here.

03:21Bobby and Susan looked very confused until a note appeared next to their feet saying,

03:25three of the inscriptions are false, and one is true.

03:29Can you guess which door led to the ghost?

03:31Let's see how this would work.

03:42If the ghost was behind door A, then both B and D would be true.

03:46But if it was behind door B, then both A and D would be true.

03:49If the ghost was behind door C, then A, C, and D are all true.

03:54But if the ghost was behind door D, then the statements on all the other doors were false, except for that on door B.

04:01This matched the rules, so it was behind door D.

04:05Josh was walking in a forest at night and came across an abandoned castle.

04:11He was curious, so he found his way in and started walking down a corridor.

04:14Pretty soon, he met three cloaked figures.

04:17When Josh asked who they were, they said they were two werewolves and one vampire.

04:21The trio told Josh he had made a bad choice coming inside the castle.

04:25They said they wouldn't let him leave unless Josh outsmarted them.

04:28Josh had to guess who the vampire was.

04:31The rules were that he was only allowed to ask the same question to each one of them.

04:35And the question couldn't be, are you a vampire?

04:39After a few minutes of thinking, Josh asked, what's your eye color?

04:43He guessed who the vampire was and was allowed to leave the castle.

04:46Why did he ask that?

04:48And why did that question help him?

04:49Vampires don't have a reflection in the mirror and don't show up in photos.

05:02The true vampire probably wouldn't know what eye color they had.

05:06Eric was coming home from a night out.

05:08As he reached the gate of his apartment, he heard someone bawling.

05:11He looked around, but no one was there.

05:13Then he noticed something that scared him, and he shouted,

05:16Ghosts! Ghosts! Someone help me!

05:19Look at the image.

05:20Can you identify what Eric saw that scared him so much?

05:31The gate lamp isn't attached to the pole.

05:34It's floating in the air and somehow still shining bright.

05:37This isn't right!

05:39Eric calls his best friend, who also happens to be a renowned ghost hunter.

05:43His buddy Ray arrives, and his ghost-detecting equipment starts beeping frantically.

05:47It leads them to a pool.

05:49When they arrive, they see a girl swimming there.

05:52Eric shouts,

05:53Hey, why are you swimming in the pool so late at night?

05:55Here, let me help you get out.

05:57But Ray stops him, saying,

05:59Don't do that!

05:59Why did Ray do that?

06:10Look at the pool!

06:11The girl is swimming, but there is no movement in the water.

06:14She must be a ghost!

06:16When Ray tried to capture the ghost with his ghost machine, it immediately flew away.

06:21His detector is now showing that the ghost is hiding in the storage room.

06:25Take a look at these three paths, and guess which one they have to take to get to the storage room.

06:38It's path C!

06:39It's the only one that will lead them there.

06:43Amy got lost in a forest, and ran into a house in the middle of nowhere.

06:47She knocked to ask for help, and a witch answered.

06:49The witch invited Amy inside, and offered her a cup of coffee.

06:53When Amy tried to leave, the witch wouldn't let her do that.

06:56She said Amy had to pass a memory test, and if she got everything correctly, then the witch would let her go.

07:02She showed Amy an old book, a pair of rusty earrings, and a bracelet.

07:06Take a look at these images, and help Amy pick the correct version of every object the witch showed her.

07:11Yes, that was the book.

07:21Hmm, these earrings look pretty much the same, but it's the one on the left.

07:24And, oh yeah, this one was certainly the correct bracelet.

07:29Finally, Amy got everything correctly, and the witch let her go.

07:32But as she was walking in the forest trying to find her way home, the witch appeared in front of her again.

07:36But this time, it was another witch.

07:38Amy was confused, because they looked pretty similar.

07:42Can you take a look at both witches, and try to find their differences?

07:54Yep, their shoes were of different colors.

07:57Oh, and the witch on the left has a mole that the other one doesn't.
