00:00The NL Central, a really good race, although the odds would tell you a different story.
00:05The Cubbies are a minus 300 favorite to win this division, Donnie.
00:09But they only have a game lead over the hottest team in the National League
00:12since the beginning of June and in all of baseball.
00:16Milwaukee, 25 and 12 since the start of June.
00:19Winners of seven in a row entering the All-Star break.
00:22And yet the oddsmakers, given the Brew Crew no love to catch the Cubs in the NL Central.
00:27Yeah, it's really interesting because, you know, you look at the Cubs
00:31and they have a lot going in their lineup.
00:32Usually we look at the Brewers like, okay, what's Christian Yelich's in the lineup?
00:35Good. Who's the rest of them?
00:36Hopefully they can support Christian Yelich.
00:38Not the same case, man.
00:39There's five to six batters that are legit in that Cubs lineup and you love to see it.
00:43The one thing that is going to help the Milwaukee Brewers down the stretch is
00:46they have a pretty good bullpen.
00:47They have a pretty good starting pitching staff.
00:48Brandon Woodruff coming back into the fold.
00:50If he can give you anything, you absolutely love to see that.
00:53Quinn Priester has actually been really good for them in that fourth hole.
00:56You got the big Miz out there, Jose Quintana, just that slippery left-handed pitcher
00:59and led by Freddy Peralta.
01:01But you just think talent wins out, right?
01:04Like, yes, I like the starting staff for the Brewers.
01:06I just don't trust the lineup as much as I do the Cubs.
01:09PCA, Michael Bush, Seiya Suzuki.
01:11I mean, they have been absolutely spectacular in that lineup.
01:15Kyle Tucker also an all-star as well.
01:17You just trust that the better team is going to win out,
01:20even though it's only a one-game lead.
01:21I still give the slight nod here to the Cubs, but again, it's price point.
01:25It's not plus 100 and just pick the team that's going to win it.
01:28You're laying a minus 300 basically at an even tie at the all-star break.
01:33That's a pretty tough number to swallow.
