00:16Lewis shares some suggestions in light of National Siblings Day to repair your relationship with your
00:21family members. Start by instigating a conversation about why the distance exists in the first place.
00:28Everybody wants to be heard, so remain open and try not to be defensive. A helpful hint is to use
00:34agree to disagree, perhaps more often than you'd want. Don't expect to dive in headfirst. Instead,
00:40ease in with a more active approach, including your choice of meetup. Consider a museum or movie,
00:46that way the focus isn't entirely on the conversation. Timing is always a factor in
00:51relationship recovery, so it's okay if your sibling isn't ready. Respect it and then try again.
