Chandigarh, July 15, 2025 (ANI): Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has urged the Opposition to support the Anti-Sacrilege Bill 2025. He said “It began on the last day of the Assembly session. The Opposition is accusing us of bringing such laws. Look, when the Opposition brought a similar bill, we supported it, but their bill was flawed. That’s why we repeatedly requested them not to bring it in that form. However, since the bill was related to the sentiments of the people of Punjab, we supported it in principle.”
