00:06subway station in chelsea tonight gushing water just added to the miserable commute

00:11naveen dolly wall joins us now live from the upper west side where subway riders are still

00:16facing delays naveen yeah christine it has been a mess for subway riders throughout the evening

00:23because of that excessive water and many train lines delayed including the two and three

00:29here at the 96th street station on the upper west side now again that rainfall it came down it stopped

00:35trains and it stranded passengers take a look that video that you just showed christine this is the 28th

00:42street station this is the one line in chelsea that water gushing through the platform that is not a

00:47fire hydrant that is water just overcoming the platform it was taken by a commuter who shot it

00:53from a train near the turnstiles the water overwhelmed the subway drainage system this

00:59evening turning platforms into rivers now crews were seen cleaning up the mess once that water

01:04subsided the mta says several subway stations experienced flooding and that led to delays

01:09including on the a b c d r and f lines that were all impacted over at the 34th street station at penn

01:17station one of the busiest in the city also saw water pooled on platforms as waters carefully

01:22maneuvered through it now subway riders are you know they're used to delays but once again they had

01:27no choice but to deal with them when it rains here in new york it sucks i don't know what is going on

01:33the drainage i mean look at this you god forbid if someone slips and fall in this you'd have to

01:38amputate your whole skin like you it's horrible whenever it rains it's bad it's super frustrating

01:43like people just want to go home these are not the conditions that new yorkers deserve to be traveling

01:49and unfortunately that's what new yorkers deal with uh as they get onto subway subway uh during a mother

01:59nature's event now here again at the 96 three station the two and three lines still significantly

02:05delayed and crews are working to clean up the process and hopefully they're hoping that the

02:11trains will be back on schedule for the early morning commute we're live on the upper west side
