Malaysia has reaffirmed its sovereign right to accept or reject any proposed foreign ambassador, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday (July 15), Fahmi was responding to public criticism over the proposed nomination of pro-Israel commentator Nick Adams as the next United States ambassador to Malaysia.

The government's spokesman added that Wisma Putra has not yet presented a memorandum on the matter to the Cabinet.
