00:00In the town of Dinkydale lived a man named Thaddeus Buttercup.
00:03Now, Mr. Buttercup was no ordinary man.
00:07Oh no!
00:08You see, he was an inventor, a tinkerer, a whiz kid with wires and a fanatic about all things that go...
00:15He would open a school, a school to teach children how to invent.
00:19There was just one tiny problem.
00:21Mr. Buttercup didn't know any children and frankly, he didn't much like them.
00:26They were messy, they were loud, and worst of all, they were completely and utterly useless.
00:33In fact, his garage contained more gadgets than you could shake a stick at.
00:38Then he set them all in exercise to complete, to create an invention that would make their day-to-day lives a little easier.
00:44For the next few weeks, the children continued to invent all sorts of wonderful things,
00:51including a bicycle helmet that prevented scraped knees,
00:55a lunchbox that made your food taste better,
00:57and a robot dog that could fetch your slippers.
01:01They had to design an invention that would benefit the whole school.
01:04One student suggested a self-sharpening pencil.
01:07Another thought it would be a good idea to have a machine that automatically collected rubbish.
01:12But it was one girl who had the best idea of them all.
01:15She would invent a device that would help children learn their times tables.
01:19Some children made an alarm clock that woke them up with a megaphone.
01:24They created a game that helped other children learn their multiplication.
01:28Fact!
01:28And it was such a success that the other children wanted to learn other things too.
01:32As for Mr. Buttercup,
01:34he discovered that being a children's entertainer was not as easy as it looked.
01:38But it was certainly a lot more rewarding than making ordinary inventions.
01:41After all,
01:42who knew what extraordinary things the next generation of inventors would come up with?
01:47So, Mr. Buttercup's students went on to make games that taught fractions, algebra, and geometry.
01:55He also taught them the importance of working together and sharing ideas.
01:59But most of all,
02:00he showed them that being a child was pretty great because anything was possible.
02:05Another child made a toaster that automatically put peanut butter on their toast.
02:10And one student even made a pair of trousers that gave them superpowers.
02:14He would have to become the world's greatest children's entertainer.
02:18Which meant one thing.
02:19He would have to create the most extraordinary school for tiny inventors the world had ever seen.
02:24He constructed a life-size mousetrap to catch mice who wanted to sneak into the school and learn how to make cheese.
02:30He designed a suit that allowed him to talk to birds and an umbrella that could predict the weather.
02:35Then he built a robot vacuum cleaner so he could chase children around the playground without getting tired.
02:40And finally,
02:41he created a wishing well that granted wishes,
02:44but only if those wishes involve learning something new.
02:47And so he did.
02:48On the first day of class,
02:50Mr. Buttercup welcomed 24 students,
02:53all brimming with curiosity and excitement.
02:56From self-stirring teapots to shoes that made you tap dance,
03:00Mr. Buttercup hadn't invented it all.
03:03But one day he had an idea so big,
03:06so daring,
03:07so utterly brilliant,
03:10that it simply had to be shared with the world.
03:13However,
03:14he soon realized there was only one way to make his school a success.
03:20He bought a giant magnifying glass and hung it from the oak tree in his front yard,
03:25which doubled as the school's entrance.
03:27It took a while,
03:29but eventually word got around about Professor Bumblebee's extraordinary school for tiny inventors,
03:34and children from all over Dinky Dell came to enroll.
03:37He started off the lesson by showing them his newest invention,
03:41a pair of pants that made you walk backwards.
03:43It was then that Mr. Buttercup realized being a children's entertainer wasn't all that bad.
03:48In fact,
03:49it was rather fu-
03:50And although Mr. Buttercup had not actually invented any of these things himself,
03:55he did encourage the children to always try their best and never give up when faced with a tricky problem.
04:01As the end of term exams approached,
04:04the children were set an extra special challenge by Mr. Buttercup.
04:09And in the end,
04:10that is exactly what they did.
04:12In the end,
04:13the children had not only learned how to invent,
04:16they had become the best students and the best teachers in the whole of Dinky Dell.
04:22But next slide is not only Janakadabha,
04:24but the children did but they had so much fun with it.
04:26They once Lamborghini ran out with the children.
04:28But here are so many to be in the middle of the country where they did.
04:30It was an outstanding person for me to really understand what you say at all because of that in the day.
04:32As being with the court,
04:33the children strike to be able to change 70 percent on each Tuesday,
04:37even after those times or the teachers strike and helping their teachers,
04:39theyMed,
04:41were about 70 percent on their étape,
04:43and so on the rest of the day,
04:45we should呈 them to be capable of
04:47that's why we're tempted to maximize that because cuadras over there need
04:49short circuit.
