00:00Right, lads, you're expecting your ball for your burning structures at all times,
00:03when a tighter break, your ball prickly, and defend yourselves at all times.
00:06Touch clubs.
00:08Final fight here on the prelims,
00:11the first eight-rounder for local super welterweight, William Kroler.
00:20In with Aberdeens, Fraser Wilkinson.
00:24It was, as I say, a real learning fight for Kroler last time out, Barry against Emmanuel Zion.
00:34No, it really was, and the fight he needs as well, I think, for his development.
00:37I think it's important here for Kroler, I think he has to put the pressure on Wilkinson early.
00:42Wilkinson got good feet. I think his hand speed's quite decent as well,
00:46so I think it's very much important for you to put pressure on him early, just to make him rush his work a little bit.
00:51Oh, he looks big in there, Kroler, I thought he looked big on the scowls yesterday.
00:58Switches, we've already seen him starting the fight,
01:00Salpour, you see it there, just going back to the Salpour stance and punches heavy with both hands,
01:06really does, just stabbing the jab into the body.
01:09Fraser Wilkinson just looking for a couple of shots upstairs.
01:12Jab from Wilkinson. Yeah, it was, needs to get that chin down, but as I say, he can box,
01:16he can keep it long, but he's not afraid to get stuck in and let his hands go.
01:20But what Wilkinson's got to try and do, and it takes a little bit of bravery for this,
01:23is because Kroler commits to every punch, if you can make him miss by a little bit,
01:28make him pay straight away, just make him think before he throws,
01:32that'll slow Kroler down considerably enough for you to get your work together.
01:36Nice start from Wilkinson, he looks unfazed, doesn't he, from the challenge.
01:42Brinny and Kroler, he's the more experienced out of the two.
01:45Jason Kroler came over to Salpour, also got Salpour back again.
01:52Just got to be careful switching too much, because you can't build any momentum in your attacks,
01:56because you're always looking at the switch around.
01:57Yeah, always that danger when you're coming square on, when you do change from either stance,
02:03but I'll tell you what, the jab from Wilkinson has been sharp and accurate,
02:07putting the shots together nicely there.
02:09Well, he's saying one at the start of the round, I think Kroler's got to really put
02:12concerted pressure on him, make him feel the power early, so...
02:17I think Wilkinson just not getting into his rhythm, and right now Wilkinson's boxing really well here.
02:21It's going really well here.
02:23As I say, Wilkinson, one of his defeats was to McAuliffe, a real shoot-out with McAuliffe,
02:30he dropped him and he dropped himself, as I say, he's not afraid to get stuck in,
02:37let his hands go there, quick hands.
02:42He's going to be made to work here, Kroler.
02:44Six stoppages in a row before that points win last time out against Zion,
02:55having everything his own way to the quiet like that last time.
03:00This one here, as you can see already, is going to be made to work.
03:04Exactly what you need in his development, Barry.
03:06Yeah, but it's good from Wilkinson here though, again, fighting,
03:09trying not throwing off the punches here of Kroler.
03:11What was the heavy hand? There'll be more accuracy in the work here from Wilkinson.
03:16Yeah, and the footwork's good, that was a good left hand from Kroler,
03:19but the feet, as I say, bringing him in nicely here, behind the shots,
03:23moves out of range nicely to avoid the shots coming his way.
03:27He's letting Kroler know he's in this fight and he's coming to win.
03:30He's fighting for Kroler, this isn't a fight you can lose by the way.
03:54These are fights where you have to use your brain.
03:55It's not all about just brute strength or power that's going to get you through,
03:59which might be the, it might be the desired fact at the end of the day,
04:02but what it is, is about using your brain.
04:04Wilkinson has given you things he has to think,
04:06so he's not just not like intimidating and bullying him.
04:08Wilkinson is not, he's not discouraged to throw back when he really takes a shot,
04:14he's willing to block and conquer, so you've got to be a little bit smarter of your work.
04:18Thinking on your feet, we call it, and I think that's, uh, that's the thing you need to develop.
04:22One, two...
04:26Into the second round we go, and I was just looking at Wilkinson in his corner,
04:29responding well to the instructions, big smile on his face, eager to get out for the second round,
04:35and he's working nicely again behind a jab.
04:37See how Kroler throws, he throws as well.
04:40Watch how Kroler throws and throws right hand, he throws almost not with him, straight after him.
04:46And he's just sitting in the pocket as well, Wilkinson, just vary the work.
04:56His hands nice and high, Wilkroler.
05:00But you've got to get the roll, either dip side to side,
05:04in a diagonal, or roll when you're coming forward, just hands high, he's walking up the shots here.
05:09That was good, but it was a nice right to the body from Kroler, but back came Wilkinson with a nice flurry of shots.
05:16This is better from Kroler, the nose of Wilkinson bloodied.
05:21Really starting to plant his feet and let the hands go heavy, Barry.
05:26He is, yeah, and that's good, but again, walking up too many punches to get there here, Kroler.
05:30Again, that head movement needs to be a little bit more, slipping forward.
05:34That's good for Wilkinson, lovely uppercut.
05:36Yeah, just slipped on the outside, didn't he, of that southpaw jab, just grazing the target with that shot.
05:43Kroler looking for a left over there.
05:45The southpaw jab of Wilkinson, starting to heat up nicely here, really starting to impose
05:52that strength, that physical strength, Kroler.
05:54Yeah, but again, I still think Wilkinson's boxing really well here and the pressure.
05:59Puts his shots together nicely, doesn't he?
06:02The scot, moving his feet out of range nicely, just avoiding that left, coming his way from Kroler.
06:19Just doing the right thing as well there, Wilkinson just tying up, Kroler after he landed a couple of shots.
06:24It seems to be a shell nicely, doesn't he, Kroler, really arcs that back.
06:32Oh, that was a good right hand from Kroler, brought the feet in.
06:35Switch then for no reason at all, I think that just took away his momentum there, Kroler.
06:39Nice shot to the body from Wilkinson as Kroler was coming forward.
06:51Tucking up nicely, Kroler.
06:55Taking the shots on the glove, but it's good work again from Wilkinson.
07:03Short right hook there from Wilkinson wasn't there?
07:05And then back comes Kroler though with a straight right, but that was a nice left hand from Wilkinson,
07:10just rocking the head back of Kroler.
07:11Oh, that's a good left hand there from Wilkinson.
07:17Oh, good work, just backing Kroler onto the ropes.
07:24That's a good fight there, it's interesting.
07:26It's heated up nicely.
07:27Plenty to think about for William Kroler and Nick Kroler in the corner.
07:42Just even though the camera's on Kroler's corner here, look at Wilkinson in the corner,
07:46and except for the cotton wool up his nose, he's looking quite, quite fresh here.
07:52But there's a lovely, lovely right hand there from Kroler.
07:57Just switched stance a little bit, I don't think there's any need for that.
08:00But he had a lot of success there, Kroler, that's a big heavier shot,
08:04but I still thought he took a lot of shots coming forward with Wilkinson,
08:06that wasn't deterred or put under too much pressure,
08:10where he didn't know what to do, he kept his shape, and he landed some good shots of his own.
08:13He doesn't carry the same weight of shot as Kroler, but still good scoring shots.
08:17Yeah, I'd say the physical strength and the power lies with William Kroler.
08:21Very good boxer Wilkinson on the back foot, can mix it up.
08:27Yeah, this contest, heating up nicely into the third round we go.
08:30William Kroler looking to target the body, straight away.
08:34It's okay, I've taken shots in the gloves, a bit more head movement required, I think, from William Kroler, but...
08:50Even just the body, so you can dip your, you haven't got to move your head, you can dip your, you can dip your legs and do a U-shape as you come forward.
08:57Look at the count of Wilkinson, first and third almost, he'll lead and avoid the shot coming back,
09:09and as you see they just miss him with the right hand Kroler, and then back comes Wilkinson with a jab.
09:14What Kroler's doing, he's so pent up on one of the land with a big shot, you can see how tense he is,
09:19and he's waiting to run, let his hands go, and that's allowing Wilkinson there, just a flurry.
09:23Even though they're not heavy shots, they're scoring punches, and he's catching Kroler coming in.
09:29Yeah, Fraser Wilkinson, he won his last fight against Jordan Branham.
09:34And every round of the slated six, good work there, taking on the gloves though from Kroler,
09:39but a nice one-two, nonetheless.
09:43Ooh, trying to walk onto an uppercut there, Wilkinson.
09:47Both landing good shots there.
09:48Yeah, both exchanging blows.
09:53A lot of damage to the nose of Wilkinson, there's some blood around the face,
09:59but I think it is coming from that nose, hopefully there's no cuts.
10:04There's better head movement from William Kroler there, just sticking on the inside,
10:07both exchanging shots again.
10:11It's a lovely feat on Wilkinson, it's a little half a step back, and a jab to follow.
10:16That was a good jab, double jab from Kroler, looking for the left hand,
10:19but back comes Wilkinson with a nice count on the left hand of his own.
10:22See, he's looking sharp here, Wilkinson.
10:25And he'll take a few heavy shots, but I think he took it, left took there though.
10:30And look at the slipping side as well, and throw that left to the body,
10:35or screw it up as an uppercut.
10:37See, Wilkinson doesn't need to push forward, I mean, he's not running, and that's good,
10:42but he's got to use Kroler's aggression against him.
10:46A little step back and it will.
10:47And he's starting to turn the shots.
10:52In now, Kroler, turning the waist into the shots, but using the feet nicely.
10:59Yeah, and double jabbing his way in.
11:00It's like the fourth time he's been caught low there, Kroler.
11:07The referee just having a word will Wilkinson keep the shots up.
11:10Nice, I'm hurt there so much.
11:11Yeah, back on to Scott.
11:13A one-two steps in, another one-two.
11:15Nobody says he'll go straight shots, isn't he?
11:28Another good round here in Manchester, the AO Arena.
11:31A good contest heating up between these two.
11:35William Kroler, as you can see, in shot versus Scotland's Fraser Wilkinson.
11:42And this is where it all goes down this evening, 7.30, live on the zone.
11:48Your global home of boxing.
11:50Plenty taking their seats already.
11:54Promises to be a cracking evening.
11:56So much to look forward to.
11:58The main events of crack over it we've got there.
12:01Eddie Hearns calling in the future Anthony Joshua, pro debut of Leo Atang.
12:11Joe Cordina, someone you know very well, Barry.
12:14In with the Mexican puncher, Darren Gonzalez.
12:18Yeah, perfect fight to come back from, isn't it?
12:20An unknown Mexican.
12:23And the record would suggest a heavy-handed Mexico.
12:29Back to this one here.
12:30William Kroler, Fraser Wilkinson, heating up nicely.
12:35Well matched, these two.
12:38Good feint from Wilkinson to start the round.
12:40Looking for that straight right to the body.
12:46Favouring the orthodox stance.
12:48As I said, that switches straight back to southpaw.
12:51Kroler can't keep taking a step back.
12:53Kroler left, he does a bit of work.
12:55Whether he has success or not, he takes that step back.
12:57Which you'd normally say, okay, yeah, that's good.
12:59Then you regroup and you're coming back again.
13:01But you should just get low, just dip your legs and go back again.
13:05Don't take that step back.
13:07Avoid the attack by just dipping your legs.
13:09Yeah, that was a better counter.
13:11Left hand from Kroler.
13:13Took a step back, half a step back and through the shot.
13:17It was good, but good work on the back foot though from Wilkinson.
13:19But he lands another one, Kroler.
13:21The left hand there through the pipe as well there from Wilkinson.
13:23And a right-hand jab.
13:25Yeah, good jab, lead southpaw jab from Fraser Wilkinson.
13:29He's just somehow at times just managing to numb a fire.
13:34The shot's coming his way from Kroler.
13:36He'll tie him up, he'll slip on the outside and use his feet intelligently as he does there.
13:41All right, boxing well here.
13:53Tucking up nicely, but good work though from Wilkinson.
13:55Yeah, he's spanned on the target there.
13:57Put his hands up before he let the punches go as well.
14:00It's the second half of this round.
14:04A minute and twenty to go.
14:07He's moving freely, boxing nicely, Wilkinson.
14:10Good work on the back foot.
14:11He moves back to centre ring.
14:14Jab upstairs, left to the body.
14:17He's controlling this at the minute here, Wilkinson.
14:19What does Kroler need to do more of for you here, Barry?
14:24Stop loading up and get a little bit of speed and fluency in your work.
14:27And don't step back.
14:28I mean, again, you haven't got to walk out the shots like this.
14:30You've got to move your head, things you haven't been doing all night.
14:33Then when you get close, tip your legs and then get back up and work again.
14:3650 seconds ago, but it's been a very good round for Wilkinson so far.
14:44As you say, controlling it nicely, moving nicely.
14:47Variation in the work.
14:49But that and you know, walking forward is not, just walking forward is not pressure.
14:54It's walking onto punches, potentially.
14:56And even if he's down in some good shots, Colin, he has.
14:59The most of the work, certainly in this round, has come from Wilkinson.
15:04He's starting to push Kroler back here.
15:11This is what makes you a fighter though, isn't it?
15:12Yeah, it does.
15:13Having to come back, adapt, good shot there from Wilkinson.
15:15And he looks strong now, Wilkinson.
15:17He looks physically stronger at the two, just pushing William Kroler back.
15:21Who lands a nice left hand, that was Beto, it was sharp, it was quick.
15:25Yeah, but he's loading up though, and I worry about the fitness.
15:28When you load up, you tie it out quicker, especially when you start missing and you're losing ideas.
15:33Just seeing the fluency in the work here, the work is nice and sharp.
15:48Waiting for Kroler to come forward is a big heavy right hand there from Kroler.
15:52But for the most part, Wilkinson will be able to ride these shots quite well or absorb them quite well.
15:57And he's been the one who's been a little bit sharper off the mark here for me, certainly in that last round.
16:02And throughout the fight, I would dare to say.
16:04If I look at the two in the corners here, Barry, as we're watching these replays,
16:07look at the big, deep breaths from William Kroler in reply in the red corner.
16:12I know when people say, you know, when you say the youngsters, you've got speed,
16:19so stop trying to punch so fast because you've got natural speed or you've got power.
16:22Stop trying to load up and try and hit too hard.
16:24You don't need to get power, just let it flow.
16:26That's the problem with Kroler here, he's trying too hard to be too physical.
16:30You're physical anyway, you hit hard anyway.
16:33You waste a lot of energy here and also maybe being a little bit readable with that
16:37because you're just so set on trying to just walk right through him.
16:41Looking to work the jab at the start of this fifth round, Kroler.
16:47It was a good counter, wasn't it? Long right hook just over there.
16:51The jab of William Kroler.
16:56Lovely shot.
17:00Good work, straight shot.
17:03From Wilkins here and a drop into the body.
17:05This is really good work from the Scott.
17:09So these are hard fights for someone like Kroler when you're young
17:13because you've got to change the pattern of the fight here
17:14and it's very difficult to do with any level.
17:17But if you have no experience to draw from, how do you do it?
17:21He's just going to potentially make it worse for him.
17:24He's going to do what he's going to continue to do and really double down on what hasn't been working for him.
17:29Can't remember. Nice couple of jabs there from Wilkinson.
17:36A bit of the snap seems to have left the shots of Kroler.
17:40Just missing with a double jab there.
17:41Looking for the right to the body.
17:42He does land the shot, but again moving freely nicely.
17:46He just leant out of range there.
17:48Just took a shot, but generally before that it was good work, Barry.
17:50And you can see, because Kroler's slowed down,
17:53Wilkinson is stacking on the balls of his feet a bit more.
17:55So he's lighter with the shots and he's lighter with his feet,
17:58but the movement looks much better.
18:00If he would have done that in the early two rounds, then Kroler can walk through him.
18:05He held his feet enough to be a little bit more of a physical presence,
18:08but now lighter on his feet and boxing better for it.
18:11Good footwork again from Wilkinson just moving around the middle.
18:16The ring runs the left hand. He's hurt Kroler.
18:19He's unsteady on the feet and he's down.
18:23William Kroler down against Fraser Wilkinson here in the fifth round of this contest.
18:31Still plenty of time left in this round.
18:35Just the two stoppage victories from Wilkinson on his career, but
18:39he's hurt. Kroler, but back comes Kroler with a shot of his own.
18:45There's a temple shot on in there with the right hand,
18:47the left hand side of there from Wilkinson.
18:49Oh, he looks really unsteady still, Kroler.
18:52He's knackered, that's why, isn't he?
18:54He is exhausted in there.
18:57This is first eight rounder, as we say.
18:59Good work, straight one-two down the pipe.
19:03Mouth wide open from Kroler.
19:05Nice left hand over the top from Wilkinson.
19:08He's picking his shots lovely here, Wilkinson, really.
19:10His body shots, that left hand right down, straight down the middle.
19:15There's a cut, I think, to the left eye of Wilkinson.
19:21Back comes the Scott, landing a big lead right hook.
19:26On the top of the head of Kroler, worrying science for the local man,
19:30William Kroler, lots to do for that brother Anthony in that corner.
19:35You're in deep. Listen, you started having success and you hurt him after you got knocked down,
19:40but Wilkinson, how it's going to come.
19:42That's a lovely left hand there. I think it's just on top of the temple, I think.
19:46Scrambled the centre of the Kroler.
19:48Tried to stay, he should have, should have gone down on the knee, actually,
19:50but tried to bravely stay up.
19:52Just see it there. Didn't see it, went around the back of the club, all over the place here.
19:56Trying to stay out of the way, but Wilkinson was on him, accurate as ever,
19:59and then a little scuffing shot to put him on the floor.
20:02Then Kroler got up too quick, too early, but Wilkinson kept his composure.
20:06He did. He showed plenty of bravery there, though, William Kroler.
20:10He was down. He did jump up quickly, but that was a really, really good onslaught,
20:15that from Wilkinson.
20:16And he was looking right at his brother, and his brother was saying,
20:19stay on your knee, and he didn't listen, he got up.
20:21And that's just, that's just youth and inexperience.
20:24And pride as well.
20:30But Wilkinson's boxing absolutely beautiful right now.
20:32Yeah, he's been on point, he really has. You're right, Barry, he's boxed nicely,
20:35that lead hand's been very good, the straight shot, variation as a whole,
20:39but the defensive know-how from Wilkinson has been impressive.
20:43Feet, head, tactically, that's the world, and tactically, absolutely fantastic.
20:46It really has.
20:48Look, he just takes that half a step back, fires in a one-two.
20:54Again, the difference in the two when it comes to breathing, not in the day.
21:00Really feeling the pace, William Kroler.
21:05Oh, good one-two, though, from William Kroler.
21:09He took that one well, Wilkinson.
21:11He took it really well, didn't he?
21:13He still looks fresh here, Wilkinson, as well.
21:15That's the worry here for Kroler.
21:19It's changing shots there with a nice right hook from Wilkinson,
21:22but a right hand as well from Kroler.
21:24Good work from the Scott again on the back foot, moving back to the center.
21:27Oh, it's a lovely left hand.
21:29That is home, William Kroler.
21:31The legs are unsteady.
21:32It was a left hand again.
21:33The referee jumps in, and William Kroler loses for the first time.
21:39What a win for Fraser Wilkinson, Barry.
21:42Unbelievable win.
21:44Away from home, the way he boxed Wilkinson, there was so much composure throughout the night.
21:48Even when Kroler was fresh in the early rounds, trying to be the physical,
21:52not, I was going to say bully, but the presence,
21:54use his attributes to strengthen his power.
21:56And he tried, but Wilkinson stayed calm, picked his shots,
22:00wasn't afraid to throw with Kroler.
22:02He was blocking and counting as well.
22:03And as Kroler started to show a little bit of fatigue,
22:06Wilkinson started to use that speed.
22:07They were on the ball to his feet, right enough combinations,
22:10and a left hand for the knockdown in the last round.
22:13And the one that scrambled the senses there for Kroler were fantastic.
22:17What a win for Fraser Wilkinson.
22:20The 12th win for the Scott, just the third stoppage,
22:25which showed us an awful lot there.
22:27You can see what it means to the young man, only 24.
22:31We've all been raving about William Kroler, and rightly so,
22:33because he's been fantastic so far in his career.
22:35He's been a really, really good development fighter,
22:37and I'm sure he still will be.
22:38But, you know, I mean, just experience, the composure,
22:42and the boxing ability here at Wilkinson was just fantastic.
22:45Look at the work here in the closing seconds from Wilkinson, Barry.
22:49Yeah, I understand why Kroler's annoyed, because I don't think he felt that he wasn't hurt.
22:56But he's been hit with that shot before when he'd been put down.
22:59It's still fresh in the next round. He's been caught. He's not firing back.
23:04And you can argue that it was a little bit too soon, but also,
