00:00and the Red Sox going into the break or going in another.
00:02They beat the Rays 4-1 yesterday, so they swept the four games with the Rays.
00:06More importantly for them, they've won 10 in a row.
00:09They've actually got the same amount of wins as the Yankees now
00:12going into the All-Star break, but they've played two more games,
00:14so they have two more losses.
00:16This Rafala, he has been smoking hot.
00:19Of course, Scotty, he homered on Friday.
00:22I didn't play him.
00:22I did play him Saturday.
00:24He didn't homer.
00:25Then I didn't play him on Sunday.
00:27And what did he do?
00:28What do you think on Nesson?
00:30And Pepeo with a 3-2.
00:32Swing and a high fly ball in the left field, driving back Mangum.
00:36He's turning around.
00:38That is up there.
00:39That is gone.
00:40It's gone.
00:41It's a home run.
00:43He hit another one out.
00:45The Red Sox lead it 4-1.
00:50Say Don Raffaella.
00:52Well, you know, the thing that gets me here is that he's played great.
00:56Bayo has really, I think, pitched great.
01:01He had a complete game the start before that and a win.
01:05And then he goes out and wins this one.
01:06He's been pitching his ass off.
01:09And the thing is, what this told me more than anything else is that Tampa Bay's in trouble.
01:15That's what it told me.
01:16Because the Red Sox beat them every which way but loose, including a 1-0 game, right, on Saturday or whatever.
01:21So, here's the deal.
01:23Like, they have, you expressed this last week.
01:27They literally play 25 of 30 on the road coming out of the break.
01:32And that is insanity because of the fact that they don't have a ballpark in Tampa, that they're playing in Steinbrenner Field, a minor league ballpark of the Yankees.
01:43And they played all those early season games at home.
01:46And now they're going on the road.
01:48And they're going to go on the road nonstop.
01:50And what did they do before the break?
01:52All they did was lose.
01:54I mean, they lost going out for a week and a half, Mike.
01:57And now they're going to come out and play 25, 30 on the road.
02:00And don't tell me, you know, sometimes I'll agree that a road trip can help a team and they get down to business on the road.
02:07They're, you know, together in a hotel, they go to the ballpark, they win games, and it's all seriousness.
02:14When they're at home, they got to deal with their families, their kids, their – they're at home in their own bed, all this other stuff.
02:19It's too easy.
02:20On the road, they're focused.
02:22But not when you're on the road for a month straight, like the Spurs, when they do that, or when the Knicks have the circus in town and they leave for a month.
02:31I think a month-long road trip, in my view, will kill Tampa Bay.
02:36And what that does is opens the door, Red Sox, and they've already caught the Yankees.
02:42So, you talk about the Yankees going to the World Series or being the best team in the American League, I think they're actually far from it.
02:49A note question there.
02:51Also for the Sox, Garrett, don't call me Davey Crockett.
02:54My name is Crochet.
02:55First complete game shutout of his career on Saturday in their win.
02:59They did lose pitcher Hunter Dobbins.
03:01He just came back Friday night.
03:03Now he's done for the year with a torn ACL.
03:07So, not a good scene for Dobbins.
03:09But the Red Sox, they continue to roll 10 straight.
03:12And the Red Sox out of the break, Scotty.
03:14They'll have that winning streak going into Wrigley Friday.
03:19Red Sox-Cubs starts the second half with the businessman special Friday afternoon for Boston and Chicago.
03:27So, that'll be the first game out of the break.
03:29Do you believe that they can stay hot after four days off and then go on the road to Wrigley and start it up again?
03:36I don't.
03:38I don't either.
03:40I think that.
03:41And sometimes when you get hot like this, the worst thing you want to do is take a bunch of days off and not play.
03:47Take it four days off.
03:49And all going to Aruba and All-Star Games and all over the place.
